A faultless large family safari holiday
From the start, communications were excellent and queries quickly attended to. The brief was for a party of four families travelling as one, with ten days in mid to high end accommodation, above all else it was to be value for money and if possible the camps should be solely for our own use. I was trusting Mark to find something very special for my 70th birthday treat to my family and without doubt his team put together one of the best family holidays we have been fortunate to share together. The two camps they choose for us were run by super friendly staff and as a family of thirteen, we enjoyed the camps to ourselves. There is not one single criticism I can say about our Safari holiday, it was all excellent, from the service to the food, to the sight seeing while travelling between camps and of course the game viewing at both camps, all awesome! Mark provided exactly what I had asked of him and when we return in a few years time, Edge Travel, will without any doubt be my first point of contact.

I am 85 lyears old wth a cane edgetravel made it possible for me to travel to Botswana alone.
Edge travel was there for me, I could call them at any time of day, and they would check up on me to ask whether I was enjoying myself. Service excellent, once while I was in Botswana and I wanted to change my reservation from one Lodge to another in a different location, they made it possible. They were well beyond my expectation as was the tour it self.
Africa is like the garden of Eden with it's beautiful sunsets, animals you've never seen before, the way a leopard moves, a giraffe at sunset sillouetted against the sky.
Edgetravel made my dream possible, and I'm going back again this October with Edgetravel.

Edge Travel does it best!
As I write this long overdue review for Mark Stodel and Edge Travel, I am reminded of why I am booking another trip to Africa in 2018 for our travel club members. Our club puts together 4 or 5 trips a year (not the same people necessarily) and when it was time to go back to Africa, there was no second guessing--Edge Travel and only Edge Travel would do this new trip. Twenty-four of us traveled to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe in 2012 and Mark took good care of us with every detail including a last-minute canceled flight. The camps and hotels were perfect, the tours arranged around our preferred timing and choices. We look forward to Summer 2018 for our trip to Tanzania with Edge--20 traveling friends.

Excellent planning and support
A trip to South Africa in a wheel chair needs to be planned very carefully. While searching the internet for a rental car with hand controls we ”bumped” into Edgetravel and asked for a full itinerary. We soon got a very good suggestion and after some adjustments we ordered the trip. They reply quickly if you have any questions. Edgetravel have a really good way of presenting the tour – with many details and suggestions for what to see.
It was originally planned for autumn 2016 but due to sickness we had to cancel a few hours before take-off. Edgetravel was very helpful and took care of all cancelations and managed to get a lot of refund.
When we were fit for fight again Edgetravel booked the places again and we started the trip in April 2017. The route was Cape Town, Franschhoek, Breede River Valley, Knysna, Hermanus, Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Lukimbi Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls and finally Rovos Rail from Victoria Falls to Pretoria.
All in all, the tour was very well organized – and the places we stayed were very pleasant. Edgetravel had managed to set up a tour that fulfilled all our wishes – and more than that . It was a very good combination of city, driving on our own, nature and animals, luxury and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for more. We can definitely recommend to use Edgetravel. They are friendly, helpful, professional and they really care that you get a good holiday!!!
