They think everything for you.
I had 3 days safari tour from Arusha. The driver picked us from Kilimanjaro airport. It was a great experience. Foods were amazing. Chef cooked different types of breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday for us. The driver also nice. We saw a lot of animals. Camps were good also. This was my first camp experience and I think it was good enough.

Everything was good.
The tour was good prepared, the campsites were also good. Food was delicious, we would appreciate more comments about parks and animals.

Experience of a lifetime!
We went on a mid-range five-day safari with Suricata for our honeymoon. The experience was unforgettable and among the best experiences of our lives, with a great balance of excitement and relaxation. Our guide Mandela was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, skillful on the road, and an overall terrific person. Each park had unique terrain and offerings. Tarangire was a real highlight, with so many elephants and zebras and giraffes. For us, Lake Manyara was a bit of a let down, as we didn’t see much aside from baboons—in hindsight, we would have skipped it. Serengeti and Ngorogoro were both phenomenal. Overall, we were thrilled to see the big five, a great variety of wildlife, and a number of unique moments, including four lions lying by the roadside, a leopard that walked right past our jeep, a cheetah with her three cubs, and an elephant right outside our tent. We felt safe, well cared for, and well fed. The accommodations were great—they even upgraded us to their newly opened Suricate Boma Lodge, which was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. We had only a few minor issues—we had 30 and 60 minute delays at the gate entering and leaving the Serengeti, and a few days the game drives were a bit short (4-5 hours, less than the 6-7 hours advertised). That said, we would definitely book with Suricata again!

Great service on fantastic 4 days camping safari
My wife and I went on a 4-day group safari with Suricata Safaris going to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The tour was well-organized from start to finish. We were picked up at Arusha Airport and taken to a hotel in Arusha the day before beginning the trip (this service and hotel are included) where we were met by our guide Edgar who explained to us what was going to happen the next four days. Edgar was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the enrtire tour, and he succeeded in guiding us to see almost every animal we could have wanted, incl lions, cheetahs with cubs, leopard, elephants, hyenas, almost every species of antilope, girafes, two rhinos, and more.
We travelled in a comfortable jeep in a group of seven people, which worked fine.
We stayed in different camp sites which were decent, the tents were pitched when we arrived every evening and provided with sleeping pads and sleeping bags. The food was excellent thanks to our two man cooking/camp site team. Solid breakfasts with eggs, pancakes, toasted bread and fresh fruit; deliciously coocked lunches consisting of rice, meat stews and vegetables; and two course dinners (amazing soups for starter and a varying selection of hot dishes for the main course + wine. We felt lucky as we saw many our tour groups were only provided with basic lunch boxes with some sandwiches instead of our freshly coocked "proper" food.
The only problem we had was with some park entrance payments one day, apparently due to some network issues (internet is usually quite bad anywhere in Tanzania, at least in our experience) and was fairly quickly resolved without too much delay.
All in all, I can only strongly recommend going on a safari with Suricata, which we felt were also competitively priced ($780 per person, all inclusive). The service was great the entire way, and I would definitely use them again if I return to Tanzania one day.

Knowledgeable, safe and ridiculously incredible food!!
Our guide was Mandela, he's very calm and professional and very knowledgeable as well as genuinely caring about people, environment and wildlife. To be able to spot the wildlife life and drive is such a skill and he has it in abundance. Very glad we had him at the helm. Forgive me for the spelling but our chef Puce? truely amazed us. What he could cook in the middle of the serengeti with only the equipment in the truck was mind blowing. 3 courses from scratch every night, homemade bread and a mixture of European and local food. His talent seems to have no end. We honestly couldn't get over it. As the others on the truck were in lodges and we camped we asked him to join us for dinner and had a really lovely evening with him on the final night. A big thank you to him for that. We felt so lucky having them both with us especially when the lions were nearby and swished a tail on our tent in the middle of the night!!!
The vehicle was spotless and well maintained with two fuel tanks. Cold water was offered everyday (don't bring water bottles as they are the big plastic ones-no other way of them doing it currently). The seats have pouches for the water bottles, phones and binos/cameras for each person and all the seats are comfortable with lap seat belts. If you have long legs go for the middle seats.
The tents are set up for you on arrival, they provide clean pillows and sleeping bags on comfortable mats. The sleeping bags are a bit tired but are warm and clean which is all that's needed. Take flip-flops for the showers or just go with the opinion that you will get dusty every day so you can miss a few days. Our first campsite had a pool so take your swimmers (we didn't but they are more than happy for you to go in shorts and t-shirt). Also take some local money for drinks there and at other stops. Some of the campsites are lacking in toilet roll so it's worth taking a roll with you to ensure you don't get caught out! We were surprised how few mosquitoes we're there compared to what we expected. Also definitely don't forget your torch!! Wildlife is wildlife so you never know what you will see but we were extremely lucky to see the big 5 plus a serval cat and cheetah too. At one point we had a leopard infront of us in a tree with it's kill, a black rhino opposite and giraffes nearby....360 wildlife!! . We were very, very lucky. The transfers were all smooth with no issues. Our luggage was safe left at the hotel. Just to note not to go out after dark in Arusha walking and to get taxis. Just ask the reception and they will help. Suricata does do a walking tour which would be worth doing. On the day of our flight back the hotel was great and drove us to the heritage centre with the biggest art gallery in Africa, close by and perfect for a couple of hours before the flight. It's also free entrance. We would definitely recommend suricata for anyone looking to do a safari, we went the budget way but the others in the lodges really enjoyed those too... But they didn't get the lions walking past them! On the last day as we were leaving the Ngorogoro campsite there was a giraffe and a buffalo heading inside so you never know what you will see!!
Also to note, suricata do a follow up feedback meeting at the end of the safari to make sure you are happy. This was a really nice touch so thank you.
Last of all a big thank you again to Mandela and Puce for giving us memories that will last forever!

Beautiful experience surrounded by beautiful people
A totally worthy trip thanks to the Suricata team. All the time we were in good and caring hands. Our flight to Kilimanjaro Airport got delayed several times and we contacted suricata because our driver was waiting at the airport. Finally after 10 hours out flight departured and when we arrived the driver still was there when we came out of the airport. The first good and trustful experience in Tansania, thanks to suricata and not the airline. The next day we started our first day Safari. Our driver and guide brought us to Tarangire - there we already saw buffalos and elephants (2 of 5). The next day we went to Lake Manyara National Park where are many baboons and blue monkeys, our first lion (3 of 5) and also elephants. We stayed at their new build Suricata Buma Lodge at the manyara Lake. Beautiful hats and fantastic view. On the third day we drove to Serengeti, it rained for 1-2 hours but then the beauty of the Serengeti come to shine. Very wide landship and we got to saw leopards (4 of 5), lions, hippos, giraffes, hyenas, wildbeests, zebras. We stayed at the Ang‘ata tented lodge, where you can hear at night all the animals. One hippo was also very close to our tent and we could see the foot tracks the next day. The next day we spend also in the Serengeti, sawing cheetahs, crocodiles. Tortilis tented lodge was our camp and it was a similar experience to Ang‘ata. The final day we spend the morning ours at the Ngouro Ngouro crater and missed the rhino. So 4 out of 5 is quite good but the best part were the tanzanian people. Always happy, always kind and helpful not under the best living circumstances related to European living standards. Our driver and guide Silas become my brother from an African mother, the manager Ally is a go to guy, if you have a problem he will solve it. To sum it up: if you plan a Safari: only with Suricata! Hakuna Matata :-)
