Suricata was helpful, willing to answer questions, friendly, and organized.
We had a great time with Suricata Safari! We felt that this safari experience had all the things we wanted and was a good price. Suricata was helpful in answering questions before we booked and as we were preparing for the safari. The safari was well organized with who was sleeping where, the order we visited the parks, when we’d be picked up, food, and brief and debrief before and after.
We booked the safari to stay in tents. They provided sleeping bags and set up the tents. The camps were established and they were sure to tell us if there were animals etc we needed to be aware of and always told us to just call their name if we needed help. (The night in the Serengeti is the night you need to be most careful for animals but we had no issues.)
Our chef was great, we had yummy warm food for every meal. His meat dishes were especially delicious. He was also friendly and helpful.
Our guide, Silas, was wonderful. He was kind, patient and helpful. He provided information regarding the animals and environment yet wasn’t too long winded. We were very very lucky with all the animals we were able to see. Our guide knows the parks very well, it was almost like he was driving in his own neighborhood. He knows good spots where the different types of animals can typically be found (lion, hippo, hyena etc) and was also actively listening to the radio to know when and where some of the harder to find animals were sighted and quickly drive there. He helped ensure we all were enjoying and seemed to be having a good time as well.

Knowledgeable, knew the best spots, efficient, kind, super fun, very accommodating!
Sooo incredible! A life-changing experience!
The company - this is a good choice, we got lucky! They answered several questions beforehand. We even changed our plans last minute, messaged them the night before and they responded quickly, willing to accommodated us. Very kind people and very helpful!
Our guide Silas was amazing! He answered all our questions about the animals and park. He also knew the best spots to see animals. He was so kind and fun, he became a great friend! We saw everything - like 40 lions, including baby cubs, rhino, leopards, cheetah, hippos, giraffes, zebras, etc. Silas got us to all these places to watch and made sure we always had front row seats! 5 stars for him!
Our chef James was superb! It was some of the best food I ever had. There were always several options that satisfied all food preferences. He has a gift with cooking meat! And his pizza was one of the best I’ve ever had!! He was very patient when we were late to a few meals! Didn’t realize a budget safari would have such amazing food! 5 stars for him!
Things to note -
The vehicle: Of the 6 charging ports, only 3 of them worked. Also, the USB ports rarely worked, only if there was a plug. But I’m glad that there were international plugs on the vehicle so we could use our American plugs. Also, the vehicle was very comfy and every seat has a great view. Loved opening the roof and looking out from there too!
The campsites: they can get cold. Even though sleeping bags were provided, note that you should come prepared with some warm clothes (as well as cool clothes because they day is hot.) The Serengeti campsite is a little terrifying since animals are close. But the guide and park rangers were always checking that we were safe. The Ngorongoro crater campsite is beautiful! That’s the coldest place though. Also, sleeping pads are a little thin. Totally able to sleep, but if you need something thicker, maybe you’ll want to consider the hotel option (a little more expensive)
Also consider tips with the price. It’s just the custom, even with other tour companies. It was something I didn’t pay attention to at first.

Excellent
Suricata made my trip to Tanzania wonderful! Starting from the first contact via whatsapp with Hilary who was very polite and present every time we need or any time we had any doubt about the trip. So we arrived in Kilimanjaro airport and they picked us up, even after our flight were delaied. We made a 5 day safari with Mandela, who were a perfect guide, and Tito, who cooked every day for us a perfect meal. And at the end we received all help from Ally, who was very professional solving any kind of problem

We had a wonderful experience with the entire team at Suricata Safaris. From the initial remote contact to scheduling the script with Hilary. Mr. T picked us up at the airport, he was very welcoming. Our guide, Mandela, was exceptional, as was the cook, Tito. Always very helpful, spectacular food. We also had a great reception with Ally, always punctual, very professional and solving any kind of problem! Wonderful experience. Recommend 100%!!

Excellent Service and cost effective
We family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids) had undertaken the 5 day safari where we covered Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We had undertaken the Midrange Safari. Suricata was amazing from the day we landed to the day of departure, never leaving our side. We had a wonderful guide Fredrick. Do note that guide is the most important for your spotting of animals and we were lucky to have Fredrick. We were amazed by his knowledge on the various animals and birds. He has increased our knowledge on the animal kingdom. He also has a good eye to spot animals from a distance. Which we were only able to see using our big camera. He thoroughly enjoys his work and u can tell that by his passion with which he explains. He is also patient and helps to take pictures and only leaves when we are satisfied with our pictures. They also have a walkie-talkies where if one of the group spots something it is shared with the other people. We were able to spot the Big 4 out of the 5. Migration of wild beasts from South to north at the cross point. On a daily basis at the EOD he used to discuss the plan for next day to prepare. We were put out at Suricata Boma lodge ( upgraded from our original lodge) on way to Serengeti which was a amazing luxury lodge. Angata camps for 2 nights(middle of the jungle so expect that it is moderate) and 1 night in Tortilis camp ( this is also middle of the jungle but was a better accommodation in comparison to Angata Serengeti ( they provided us hot water bags on our bed due to cold temperatures which was very thoughtful of them). All in all very happy with the services and would recommend Suricata blindfolded… Looking forward to another time with them. They are upfront about tippings etc which is good. Even for camps you can tip altogether in their tipping box which is then shared equally by all

Fabulous Safari experience with top-notch crew
The 5-day camping safari was focused on comfort with showers, clean tents and sleeping bags and pads. The food was excellent with meat and vegetarian options. Lots of wildlife to enjoy!

The Suricata Lodge was bliss
Suricata was an amazing experience. We looked at other safari companies but they were charging twice the price for a similar type of trip. We got to stay at the Suricata Boma Lodge which was a beautiful property by the lake, which blew us away. The lodge was a gorgeous resort with a swimming pool and tastefully decorated private rooms. The safari experience was exceptional. Our guide Edgar was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to get us a good view of all the big game animals in Serengeti. We saw multiple lions, buffalos, a black rhino, cheetahs, and elephants. Edgar went above and beyond to give us a great sunrise game drive and we were able to experience the magic of Tanzania up close and personal. Would recommend this 100% to anyone looking to book a safari trip.
