Can’t recommend this company enough! I would also highly recommend DAMIEN as a guide.
We did a 4 day camping safari and learned from others that it really makes a difference to your experience who your guide is!
Everything ran smoothly and efficiently with this company. You do have to go with the flow when it comes to safari as schedules can change and it’s a long day to spend driving in a car however Damien made the whole experience so enjoyable. He created a fun but calm atmosphere and you could tell he was genuinely passionate about the animals and giving us a good experience. He was an incredibly smooth driver and great at getting the good spots which makes all the difference.
Camping set up on safari is simple but has everything you need and is so cool to camp out in the wild with animals and spending time with other groups round the camp fire.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner provided with water throughout the day and both alcoholic and soft drinks in the evening. Food was delicious! A mix of traditional and western. We had chef Jeremiah with our group throughout the trip who was excellent, friendly, and even made us pizza one night!
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Elias was brilliant - he made our trip amazing!
We booked our trip via a UK based travel agent, not knowing who was going to be providing the safari. We are so grateful that it was Suricata and that Elias was our guide - he really made the trip special. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and has a great love and respect for nature. We saw everything we wanted to and more, so close up, and Elias never once disrupted the animals like many other companies/guides were. He has the upmost respect for nature. He was patient and spotted things that other jeeps seemed to miss and drive past. He has such a great knowledge of the areas visited and ensured that we got the most out of our 7 day safari. His knowledge wasn't only wildlife related, but we learnt so much about Tanzania and its culture from him aswell.
The food at the camps and for our hot lunches were great and Elias provided plates, cutlery and cups for us to eat from during our game drives. This is another thing we are grateful for as many others seemed to have boxed packed lunches.
The accommodations were all clean and comfortable, with walkie-talkies provided in all of the tented camps for safety.
I would 100% reccomended booking a trip with Suricata and hope that Elias is your guide!

Amazing Tour Guide!
My experiance with Suricata Safaris has been nothing less than FANTASTIC AND AMAZING! Our tour guides name was Elias, who was so knowledgeable about all the animals and plants, he is really friendly and easy to speak to. One thing that stood out the most about him was that he respected the animals, he kept his fair distance from them when they were moving about or trying to cross infront of us, other companies drivers would literally harrass the animals just so their clients could get a good photo which was awful to witness. Elias was superb!! IF you could choose your guide I would recommend him 100% no doubt about it! Thank you so much Elias and Suricata for the experiance, I will never forget what I have seen, heard and felt during my time on safari. Thank you.
Jordan was the best guide could ask for.
Our guide, Jordan, knew exactly where to go to see the animals from the best vantage points! Thanks to him, we saw all the animals up close (including rare ones). He looked after everyone's needs in the group, balancing stops, meal times, and driving time, and was incredibly patient. Overall, the trip was well-organized in every respect: the vehicle was comfortable (with power outlets for charging phones), there was always plenty of water and juice available, and there was ample food for every meal; the accommodations were decent (basic, but adequate). In short, it was an excellent way to experience this adventure! He shared a wealth of knowledge about the animals, national parks, nature, and more. His English was excellent!

It was definitely amazing and incredible!
We took a 5‑day safari, and everything was great. It’s worth noting the attentiveness and care of each employee: when planning, the manager answered all our questions [organizational, medical, etc.], helped us choose convenient flights, and was there when our flight was rescheduled and our entire schedule was moved — we didn’t know where or when we would arrive, and even on a day off, the manager was still in touch, adjusted the transfer schedule so that we were met and everything went smoothly. Our guide, Jordan, was really great! He told us interesting stories, showed us the best spots for photos, and took care of our well‑being. I got sick during the safari and couldn’t go on the hot‑air balloon ride; thanks to Jordan, we got almost the entire booking fee refunded! In short, we were taken care of at every stage, so the safari was safe and comfortable — everyone was fed and satisfied!

Excellent company, which helps with every problem
Absolutely amazing company! The team really saved us and helped us out a lot.
First of all, our flight was delayed, so until the very last minute we had no idea what time we would arrive or even exactly where. Despite that, they still arranged a transfer for us and made sure we got to the hotel in time and didn’t miss our safari. The communication throughout the whole experience was excellent.
And our guide, Jordan, was absolutely fantastic. He even helped us get a refund for our hot-air balloon trip, even though it was officially non-refundable.
The food was delicious, and Jordan was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He told us so many interesting stories and facts — how crocodiles hunt and what they eat, why hippos walk alone at night, and much more.
He took us to some truly amazing places, and we got to see a huge variety of incredible animals.
If you’re looking for a great safari operator, I honestly don’t think you’ll find a better one. Highly recommended!

Lake Manyara is a gem
This was the last day of a 5 day lodge tour - i have left a separate review of the first 4 days but for day 5 we had a different guide Boniface. He was very good and extremely knowledgeable giving us lots of information. I did not expect to see much at manyara but it was fantastic. We had a great experience elephants very close including adult and baby. Unforgettable. I'm sure Boniface will go far in guiding. Again i had a great group to share it with. We had stayed at suricata boma lodge which is superb right by lake manyara and all the staff were superb there as was the case for all lodges on the 5 day.

Suricata Safaris make my dreams come true.
We are so happy with Suricata Safari that I am writing a review even while we are still on our trip.
Our guides Jeremy and Damien did their best job. We feel very well and safe. They give us the best views.
This trip was worth every penny. The workers have a good connection and give each other informations. So it was possible to see leopards, cheetahs, lions, elefants, hippos, giraffes and so on.
The food from Tito and his team in the kitchen was good and clean.
We really enjoy our one in a lifetime holiday.

Well organised, with lovely guides and good connected
We had a perfect Safari with our guide Jeremy. He made every wish come true. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. The fact that they are a big and good organised organisations, helps them to find the best places. The camps are fun and the food is delicious. The price is justified. Go for it!
