Amazing Surikata safari
5/5

Went on safari for 3 nights, 4 days to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Stunning scenery with amazing variety between the campsite. Our guide was Rocky, who was brilliant and made the trip a lot of fun. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and found lots of lion for us. Hilda was our cook who made us loads of delicious local food throughout the trip. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fantastic experience like no other.

Best Lodge Safaris
5/5

We did a Safari with Suricata Safaris for our Honeymoon. It was the best choice we could have made. We went on a seven days Safari and a day trip to Mount Kilimanjaro. We truly got more than what we expected, we stayed in Sopa loges for a fraction of what other companies quoted us. One thing that was for us a deal breaker was that they were very accommodating to my wife who has a serious case of Celiac disease, they went above and beyond to make sure everything she ate was as she ordered. We had a fantastic time and will definitely repeat, we highly recommend Suricata Safaris.

That was amazing!
4/5

This was our first experience on safari. Everything was great. We met at the airport, placed in the hotel. In the evening came, Hillari, we paid main amount for safari. He asked our preferences in food, when my wife learned that cook can cook separately for her food without gluten, she was very happy! Was one confusion with paying, in the contract not mentioned on the amount of a tip for guide, they were fixed, 10$ with person per day. I think you need it to write in the contract! In our country tips are not mandatory and fixed. But guide the Mandela and cook Salim, great fulfilled his work and very tried, so we were pleased to pay a tip! We really liked it, we will recommend to our friends! The price is very good.

Enjoyble and responsible safari
5/5

Me and my girlfriend organized a safari with Hilari´s company Suricata T & T. Since the beginning I had an easy, fluent and effective communication with Hilary. Our safari was 3d/2n visiting Tarangire, lake manyara and Ngorongoro crater. We had Harry as driver and Miren as cook.both of them really good and proffessionals. After we finished the safari and with sort notice,we´re backpacking in Tanzania,we decided to get our chances to join a safari giving us the opportunity to visit serengeti.Once again after speaking with Hilari,we embarked on a new adventure;this time ourdriver/guide was Mandela and Jeez as cook.I´m gonna put it sort and simple;"DREAMTEAM".Mandela has shown very good driving skills no matter the road conditions, really clear and effective with logistics and planning.Jeez was offering a nice variety of meals for all sorts of customrs,no matter age,nationality....
I´ve witness many drivers from other TO not respecting the path,to approach closer specially to predators (big cats) and cutting their way (I´ve got even proof). This is not responsible behaviour;our drivers at Suricata always respected that. It´s a really competitive industry, the safaries, in tanzania. Many times thnking of tips, drivers get closer to animals unresponsibly.don´t encourage your driver for such behaviour.Us, being people who pay to have a wonderful safari experience, doen´t give us any right to go over driver´s .Your driver/guide is the boss, liten to them.Get a closer experience helping the staff members when setting up campsites, assist your cook to prepare meals;,learn a bit of swahili;that will give you a closer and more balanced experience, not just being a white person pying money.I can´t tell anyone who to go with...but Suricata T & T yu should be on your list when planning excursions.we had 2 great safaries and I have only good words for Hilari and his team who made that possible.

Very good
5/5

We had three day budget tent safari Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The car was comfortable with universal power sockets, but I don't know if every car had it. The driver made his best to show us animals and tell interesting facts about them. But a lot of animals on the road were spotted by us. We managed to catch all big 5 and a lot of cubs of different animals. The food was rather good, the cook made it tasty. Our car broke in the end of our trip, but was fast changed by another.

3 days Safari Trip with Suricata Safaris
5/5

It was just amazing, on the trip through Serengeti National Park and in Ngorongoro National Park, we saw the big five and many other animals and all this in a very short distance just indescribable !!
One of my sanights was the breakfast on the last day, we picnicked at a Hippo Pool where several hippos floated in front of us without a fence in between or any hedging in perfect nature. Our guide Rocky was very friendly and attentive he always asked if we were alright and had small surprises planned for us, he always had a lot of interesting information about the national parks and the animals so it was always exciting. We were also accompanied by a great chef David who was also very accommodating and the food was delicious every time. The showers and toilets on the campsite were clean and good.
It was three wonderful days that I will never forget, thanks to Suricata Safari and thanks to Rocky and Davidi

I can only recommend it to anyone traveling with Suricata Safari looking for the full safari adventure. Here he gets the full packet!

A great Safari experience!
5/5

The 3 day/ 2 night Safari trip to Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater was such a great experience with Suricata Safari! Apart from the breathtaking landscape we saw the Big-five and lots of other animals so close to us that it was a feeling you can’t discribe.

It was always really funny with our great guide Rocki! He’s a really attentive person and is always asking if we are okay and if we have fun;) Rocki was telling us a lot about the animals and the history of the parks, so that it was never boring! He had a lot of surprises for us like a breakfast beside a hippo-pool without demarcation in full nature:)
Also we had a great cook, David. He always cooked a lot of food so we weren’t hungry any Time! The food was so delicious and varied!

Suricata Safari is a very good organized company, so go on and book your trip with them it’s gonna be an amazing experience!

Thank you really much to Suricata Safari, Rocki and David!

An excellent service giving you an adventure of a lifetime
5/5

I spoke with many safari tour companies before i came across Suricatasafaris via safari bookings, i was excited to see so many positive reviews from people who had booked their safari with them. I didn’t stop my search there and carried on looking around for other tour operators, but i always found myself coming back to them, i decided to contact the company directly through their website and i was advised by Hilary who was very helpful, informative and he answered any questions I had; i had so many questions, especialy as this would be my first ever safari and as a solo female traveller i was quite anxious about booking. I tried to find out as much as i could about the tour operator, mainly via social media, after much research and consideration I made the decision to book with Suricatasafaris and i’m so glad that i did, i opted for the lodge safari as i was not too sure how i would handle camping as i've never camped before. Communication was made very easy via whatsapp/email and all queries quickly responded to.

I anxiously arrived at kilmanjaro solo, i had been assured by Hilary that my airport transfer had been arranged, gladly i wasnt made to wait and met with a very welcoming nice driver on arrival who then drove me straight to the Hotel in Arusha, bed and breakfast was inclusive before and at the end of the tour. The hotel is quite standard but nice, very clean, homely and has a restaurant where fresh meals are prepared daily, the hotel also has wifi. I later met with Hilary who came to the hotel where we sat down to go over the itinerary, as he briefed me the anxiety i had dissapeared as i immediately felt safe and knew i would be well looked after and as a solo female traveller that is how you want to feel.

When confirming my booking i paid 20% of the total and the remaining was paid in usa dollars cash. My tour started on the following day of my arrival, i had booked a 5 day tour where i would visit Serengeti | Ngorongoro | Tarangire | Lake Manayra. All my accommodation was well arranged and booked by Hilary and i was not at all dispointed and it exceeded all my expectations. I had the option of a private safari or group, i decided to join a group where we made up a number of 6, it was a fun group which added to the experience. Our tour guide was Frederick(freddy) and he was fantastic and not to mention a very skilled driver, a good tour guide is key when going on any safari.

We made our way to Serengeti early morning, we stopped off for a spot of lunch prepared by our amazing chef Saleem. I'm a vegetarian and this was not a problem for him, all meals and bottles of water were included.

During our long drive we enjoyed the impressing scenic views, soon after entering serengeti we saw a kill which was pretty amazing, it felt like a wildlife documentary unfolding before me and was already a major highlight of the trip. I would suggest at least 3 days in Serengeti, its a very big area to cover so you may like more time there. On the next day we started off with an early game drive in the serengeti. Freddy; our guide made sure we saw as much as we could possibly see, we saw the Cheetah, lions and cub, hyenas and the Leopard sitting up in the tree, it's definitely a sight for sore eyes. We then headed to Ngorongoro and the crater the following morning where we saw Hippos, rhinos, buffalos, lions and elephants. We were happy and felt very fortunate to have seen all the big5 within a short time of being on the safari. Viewing animals in the wild is the highlight of any safari, so everyday and pretty much every minute was a highlight. We saw many other animals on our travels; giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelope, gazelles, jackal and also some big birds too.

We visited Tarangire park; the home to elephants, it's amazing to see these beautiful animals from up close. If you are an elephant lover you just cant get enough of the place, getting so close to the animals was definitely a special moment. This is thanks to our brilliant guide who knew exactly where to go, to see what we all wanted to see. The entire experience from booking, transfers and safari was perfectly planned. We ended the trip at Lake Manyara, it was a nice quiet way to end an amazing adventure of a lifetime and I thank Suricatasafaris for that, i have no regrets booking with this tour operator and i highly recommend them to anyone looking to go on a safari; a great price and a great service.

If you are a solo traveller, especially if you're female i strongly recommend you to book with Suricatasafaris.

Mucho bueno
5/5

We had a fantastic time with our guide Fred. Having just become a father nine days previously, he was even polite enough not to rush home on the final day despite of course wanting to see his son Jaydeen.
Fred was first class in terms of his knowledge of animals and ability to find them. We saw all of the big five without any other cars around us as it was him who spotted them from afar with his Legolas like animal vision. A 5* guide for those lucky enough to have him.
The wonderfully named God Bless, our chef, was a constant charming presence, who cooked excellent meals throughout.
Sleeping was in warm tents with very comfortable sleeping bags. I never had to wear a jumper, but was perfectly comfortable in light clothing.
Hilary was excellent in arranging the trip and was able to tailor our return trip to the airport with a quick stop off at the local market.

The photos below are just what I took on my phone. The ones on the camera are truly spectacular.

Would always recommend the Suricata to others.
