Could not be better! Friendly, Professional, safe, Interesting, Enjoyable ...
5/5

We did 4 days 3 nights at Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. From the first contact and the booking, from pickup at the airport to even support after our departure everything was not only professional, but also very polite, friendly and considerately. WIth Fredrick we had prosumably the best driver, guide and spotter in this business. Can't remember one road hole he did not see in time (and there were millions) and we always felt save. He showed us beautiful places, spottet all the animals others assumably are still looking for, explained each and every detail and answered any question - and there were many, because we are a family of 5. Dionys, our Chef and Master of stomach managed it to serve us wonderful varying menues every day. Always at least 3 delicious courses - no idea how he managed this with his camping kitchen ... The suricata management is very friendly and certain and 100% available. We expected to have some really exciting days in a wonderful nature. What we got was much more, breathtaking, unforgettable ... Thanks to Suricata

Amazing!
5/5

We’ve just finished a 4 day, 3 night safari with Mandela. I had read lots of great reviews before I went on safari and still it exceeded expectations!
Hilary was great at organising everything for us including collection from airport and a night in Arusha before the safari. Mandela and Sidé were amazing! Food was great. I don’t know how it’s possible but Mandela could see animals better while driving than we could with binoculars! We saw the big 5 and lots of other amazing animals. There’s lots and lots of driving but Mandela kept us entertained with stories and facts about the animals. Definitely recommend a trip to Massai village if possible (don’t let them rip you off! They tried to sell us Jewlery for 10 times the price as in local markets)

These Suricata guys are local (we drove past the village where Mandela grew up) young, fun and professional with lots of experience and I would definitely support them over the bigger tours. The are always smiling and more than happy to help.

The campsites are basic so make sure to bring a warm sleeping bag (and layers if going to ngorongoro) plenty of your own toilet roll and a torch. Don’t expect warm water or access to chargers. Camping was really fun and made it an even better experience! if you found the service as good as we did, don’t forget to tip the guide and cook! At first we thought it sounded expensive but taking park fees (really expensive), food, fuel and overnight stays into account it was actually great value and cheaper than other tours around.

If you get a chance go to the central market in Arusha for a look around - it’s a crazy but wonderful place! We also got a local taxi to the coffee lodge in Arusha for breakfast after safari which was excellent!
Oh and I highly recommend bringing some beers or wine with you if you’re the type of person who enjoys a beer after a long day driving!

Breathtaking experience!
5/5

I chose too book my safari (4 days camping safari- Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) with Suricata Safaris, after reading many good reviews about the company. It was definitely the right choice and I'm really grateful for this experience! Of course half of the experience is just being in the wonderful nature and seeing all these animals. But in order to really enjoy the safari it is crucial that the organisation and all logistics also are in place and this is the other half of the experience. With Suricata safaris everything was well taken care of both during and before & after the safari. We were 6 persons in the safari group, travelling in a jeep with our driver. I found that was a perfect number of participants.

Our driver Frederic was kind, fun and knowledgeable and gave us a great safari! Frederic was also a really good driver which made our journey feel very safe the whole time. Our chef, Dionys made great food with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Being a vegetarian I have sometimes had bad/boring food experiences when travelling in organised groups. But this was truly really good food, lots of different flavours and many dishes to choose from. And all this delicious food was made on a portable stove (since we were camping) - that is truly amazing! I chose to do a camping safari both to keep the costs down and because it feels more like the "true" safari experience. The different camping sites were of different standards, but camping in Serengeti and hearing animals at night was quite something. A tip for anyone doing a camping safari is to bring a personal sleeping bag liner, since camping equipment and sleeping bags are handed out but thus also used by other safari participants before you ;)

All in all I can definitely recommend Suricata safaris! Thank you guys!

The trip of a lifetime!!
5/5

My friend and I did a 4 day safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire and it was amazing!!! We were first time travelers to Africa and weren't quite sure what to expect, but from the moment we landed to the time we got dropped off, we felt so comfortable, safe, and had an incredible time!! We arrived at the Kilimanjaro airport and our guide Frederick was there to pick us up with a sign and take us to the hotel in Arusha, then we started the safari the next day. The scenery was just out of this world and we saw so many animals! The camping was comfortable and the food was pretty good. We've traveled to lots of places, but Africa is just unlike anything else. We were very happy we chose Suricata as our safari company, they made this the trip of a lifetime!

Best guide. Best Chef. Best Vehicle. Best knowledge. Most unforgettable experience ever.
5/5

You know you have the best guide in the business when all the other guides keep asking your guide where the animals are!
I organised this Safari direct with Hilary via WhatsApp from Australia. He was able to accommodate my special requests with ease and was entirely professional with amazing communication. He was able to accommodate my request to visit a local orphanage which ended up being quite an adventure for all of us due to the wet, hilly and muddy terrain.
Our guide Zeiki was outstanding in his driving skill and knowledge. He certainly used great skill on our drive into the Rift Valley to the orphanage.
His English is perfect and I had no trouble understanding his very interesting commentary.
Our Chef was also “the best chef ever”. Such delicious wholesome meals and every time we felt hungry he was there with mouth watering goodness.
I recommend you use this company. They exceeded all others in honesty, professionalism and providing thorough enjoyment.
You won’t regret your decision to book with Suricata Safaris.

One of my greatest ever weeks.
5/5

This safari trip was amazing due to a number of different aspects. The wildlife was incredible, it seemed like you saw something new around every corner. The parks that you visit on this trip are well managed and each have different wildlife which adds variety to the trip. Ezekiel was our guide for the safari, he is a great person and was very knowledgeable about the animals and drove very well. Thank you Ezekiel. Everything on the trip was well organised and ran smoothly throughout. The food throughout the journey was also very tasty. I would recommend suricata safaris to anyone. Would love to return in the future.

SuperSafari Trip
5/5

I made a 6 day safaritrip with Suritaca Safaris and It was an excellent trip. My guide was Ezequier and also a cook went with us. We visited the Serengeti, the caldera of ngorongoro, the national park of Tiangare and the national park of Lake Manjare. Our guide Ezequier could tell us many interesting stories and facts about the wildlife as he was studying the tanzanian wildlife at the university. I could learn a lot about nature and also about myself and what the sentence “survival of the strongest” really means.

My sincere recommendations to anyone!
5/5

I found this company after going through hundreds of different ones. Still a relatively new company, but already had very good reviews on both safaribookings and tripadvisor. We also were on a very narrow schedule, as we booked our safari only about two weeks before and wanted to have our safari on particular dates. It also seemed to have very reasonable price compared to many others. After initial email, I found it convenient to chat with Hilary, the manager, in whatsapp. We had lots of conserns, such as my wife's restricted diet due to celiac disease, which ultimately was taken on to account unbelievably well. On every meal she could get her stomach beyond full, as could the rest of us, thanks to our brilliant young chef. Our crew was of good size, six tourists in one car. Our wonderful guide, Fred, felt more like a friend than a guide to have around in a good way. He would tell us anything we'd like to know, about Tanzania or related to safari. He sincerely seemed to enjoy his work. Also, when our car's spring once inevitably broke down, it could be fixed with a piece of wood in no time, and our itinerary would still hold. On our game drives in Ngorongoro and Serengeti, we were able to see every animal we could have imagined seeing (cheetah, leopard, rhino and heeps of lions, hyenas and so on). Only thing I would even consider changing is that due to my and my wifes busy schedule, we joined the group and went first to Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and after having seen all the animals in world class safaris, Tarangire NP felt a bit empty. This was also due to the season, as we went just after the rainy season, which is not the best to see big game. Luckily we could still get very close to a big pack of elephants. All in all, our safari exceeded our expectations, and I found it to have excellent price/quality ratio and brilliant for anyone looking for a five star experience on tight budget. Thank you Hilary and the crew!
