The perfect beginning of your African adventure
10/10 in every aspect. From the pick up at the airport, the service in every accommodation, the quality of all the lodges, special mention to the hospitality at Suricata Boma Lodge and the incredible location of Tortilis Camp Ngorongoro. Delicious meals from our amazing chef Mussa.
And last but not least, our guide Rocky, what a rockstar! We will be forever grateful for having you as our guide. Perfect organization, spotting all animals from far away, answering all our questions and always with a big smile. We will miss you!

Amazing journey with the best ranger ever!
Suricata has truly delivered on all the hopes and dreams I had for my first safari and trip to Tanzania. The organization made sure you had a seamless great experience from start at the airport pickup to finish at the drop-off and everything in between. We had a really great group and had the best of times with our ranger Rocky, which was really the star of our trip. Amazing guy, driver, guide and a true friend. The food was great as well and I had trouble not eating too much every time. The accommodations were of superb quality and the staff the most friendly I have encountered so far! Can’t recommend it more.

Camping Safari with Suricata Safaris
We spent 4 days traveling with Suricata Safaris. Before the start, we received a briefing from Daniel in which we were informed about the process and small changes. I cant put into words how incredible this experience has been. I had the best time pf my life and will cherish these memories forever! This was all thanks to the incredible staff, amazing food, and heart warming company.

Fantastic safari
Our guide Rocky (unsure about spelling) was absolutely incredible, it was really noticeable that he knew all the places one might want to see, both in the parks and during the journeys in between. We saw 4/5 of the big 5, including a large number of lions right next to our van and a rhinoceros at relatively close range (about 100m). All accommodations were of high quality (we had the lodge option), especially Suricata Boma Lodge but all accommodations were very good. Suricata's own chef Mouza (?) cooked very tasty lunches every day. Highly recommend!

Best safari trip with the best guides
My boyfriend and I did the three day safari and slept at the campsite in tent. It was an incredibly cool trip and i would always choose Suricata Safaris again. Our driver was Rocky and our cook was Musa. Rocky is the best guide, he explained so much to us about the animals and the national parks. And because of him, we saw so many animals. Musa was such a nice guy and his dishes tasted amazing! I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. They were also always with us at the campsite at night. Thanks again to Musa and Rocky and Suricata Safaris!

An unforgettable journey
Everything was perfect! Rocky was our guide. He made sure we had an unforgettable trip. Musa cooked for us and also accompanied us on the adventure. The food was excellent. Rocky and Musa were simply amazing. I am very grateful that they were a part of our adventure. There was not a single problem and everything was perfectly planned and organized. Incredible Tanzanian safari with suricata
This may have been the best experience of my life. We booked a 5 day 4 night camping safari with Suricata. We contacted Suricata through safaribookings.com and Glory reached out to us within 24 hours. Communication with Glory was very prompt as she always responded within 24 hours and mostly responded very quickly even after Business hours. She answered all questions I had and made me feel comfortable booking this safari. We even had a late change of flight and Glory was able to accommodate for that and arrange for airport transfer. Additionally we stayed an extra night in Arusha and glory organized that with no problem. Upon arrival Daniel greeted us at our hotel and explained the itinerary for our stay and gave us an incredible city tour of Arusha which I highly recommend. He took us to an African art gallery, a local restaurant for lunch, the markets, and a few other spots around town. The tour was amazing and Daniel did a fantastic job. We then went on our safari with Edgar. He was in incredible guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. He was even able to fix our safari car when there was a problem. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. For example when we were camping in ngorongoro it was cold and he got us extra sleeping bags. He always knew where the animals were and we got to see everything we wanted thanks to him. The food was also incredible. Tito made fresh food every meal. We saw that Other companies served packed lunches but The Suricata chefs prepared fresh food for us which was much appreciated. We are vegetarians and the chefs accommodated for us and there were plenty of options for every meal. In fact us and the other campers always looked forward to the meals almost as much as seeing the animals! Upon arrival back to Arusha, Daniel greeted us and organized transfer back to the airport with no problem. Despite booking the budget option i was amazed by the comfort of the campsites and the cleanliness of the public bathrooms and showers. We even had hot water 3/4 of the nights. I would 100% recommend Suricata and when I come back to Tanzania I will definitely book with them again.

This truly was the best travel experience of my life. Communication with the company was easy and quick. This was followed by a seamless airport pick-up (despite a change in travel plans 24 hours before). Daniel gave us a tour of Arusha on the day before our safari, which included a visit to a local restaurant, a visit to the biggest art gallery in Tanzania, a guided tour of the market, and more! He was so nice and personable and tailored his tour to our interests. We then did a 5 day safari which exceeded all of my expectations. Our guide, Edgar, was able to answer every question we asked him. He communicated with the other guides to help us find every animal I hoped to see. And we got so close! He knew exactly how to angle the car to get the best views. The variety of parks, animals, and landscapes is unmatched. We elected the least expensive camping option for accommodation (one of the most affordable safari packages we could find!). The washing facilities were clean and even had hot water. The tents came with sleeping mats, sleeping bags, and pillows which were surprisingly comfortable. The views from the campsite were amazing—one overlooking the Serengeti with giraffes walking through the sunset and one overlooking the Ngorongo crater with the worlds most beautiful fig tree in the center. At night we heard the buffalo grazing nearby. The last campsite also had a pool. Finally, the food. It was delicious!!! Three hot meals a day prepared by our talented chef Tito. Each meal included fresh fruit and vegetables. My friend and I are vegetarian and there were so many options for us. My favorite dishes included vegetarian lasagne, breakfast pancakes, leek soup, and roasted potatoes. At dinner, a bottle of wine was provided as well. It was also so fun meeting fellow travelers from across the world on our tour. To sum it up, this was an incredible experience and I have zero complaints. I highly recommend Suricata Safaris to anyone looking for great food, knowledgeable guides, seamless logistics, unrivaled value for money, kind people, and an unforgettable vacation :)
