One of the best of my life.
Excellent communications. The whole trip exceeded my expectations. Our guide, Andy was superb and extremely knowledgeable about everything. In fact he absolutely made the trip. The staff were excellent, the food amazing (I'm a vegetarian) and altogether the holiday was brilliant.

Superb bush experience in Chitake
Natureways are so professional. We stayed in a mobile camp setup which had all the necessary amenities. The guide Andy Smith was top class. So passionate and knowledgeable about the wild life and the bush. We had such fun and really enjoyed our trip. Thank you to all the staff.

Wonderful and exhiliarating family canoe safari
Our family of five did the Odyssey Shoreline Safari in June 2017. Everything about our trip with Natureways was faultless, beginning with the early communications, responsiveness to our many questions, travel advice and all administration matters. Once on the ground in Zimbabwe we were constantly in awe of the natural environment surrounding us, and could not think of a better way to observe the wildlife in Mana Pools NP than from the perspective of a canoe on the lower Zambesi, combined with the opportunity to break up the day with walking safari away from the riverbank with our expert guides. Above all, it was the guides (Andy Smith And Takeshaw) who made the trip so enjoyable. Their knowledge, skills, professionalism and safety focus were faultless. We learnt so much in our 4 days with them. The rest of the support staff were also very professional and made our mobile camps a pleasure to spend time in after a day on the river. This trip is not for the feint hearted, but those who make the decision will be forever thankful that they did.
Superb
The team was just so much fun, my family had a ball and we look forward to canoeing again next year.

A truly special experience, a must on your trip to Africa
We loved everything about our canoe Safari. The animals, the scenery, the excitement, the peacefulness, the guides who were extremely knowledgeable, the equipment and the food. We couldn't fault it! It was the best part of our three week trip to four countries in Africa.

Great experience with fantastic guiding
We were a bit nervous canoeing on the Zambezi River, but our guides TK, Trust, and Emmanuel made us feel welcome and at home in their wonderful country. Some of the meals we had were better than what we have in the fancy lodges and there was just a very personal feeling to the whole experience. I wouldn't pick anyone other than Natureways to guide me down the Zambezi!

Elephants, Hippos and Spectacular African Nature
The Fish Eagle Safari was much better than I had expected. Everyday brought some amazing aspect whether it was the quiet mornings on the Zambezi River, blazing sunsets, hippos everywhere, Zambian fishermen in their handmade mokoros, beautiful birds, etc. Going to sleep looking at the stars from my tent while listening to the calls of the hippos echoing across the water is something else. The best part was the unexpected appearances of elephants, especially the group of 7 that crossed the channel to our island, checked out our camp, then moved on. Seeing them still there behind our camp in the morning was just another one of the thrilling aspects of this trip. For a camping trip the food was surprisingly good, fresh tasting, had variety, and was nicely presented. There was a safety brief at the beginning of the trip and each day there was a discussion of what we would do the next day, how to act and react in the various situations. I always felt safe and had every confidence in the guides who seemed to have comprehensive knowledge about every animal, bird, plant and insect there is. The office staff were extremely helpful in not only booking the trip, but also in providing advice on pre and post trip transportation and accommodations. This trip is one that I will never forget. Check out the photos on the Natureways Facebook page.

Fantastic way to experience nature
We spent 5 nights on the Fisheagle canoeing safari from Kariba to Mana Pools and 3 nights hiking at Chitake. It was the most amazing experience!
Canoing down the Zambezi is awesome: the landscape along the river and the river itself keeps changing throughout the trip and you see more and more game the closer you get to Mana. Our guides Takesure and Manu were very professional and entertaining: we felt perfectly safe at any time, heard lots of interesting facts and stories and enjoyed very good meals every day.
Chitake is a very special place. It is very remote and you hardly see any other people. Our camp was set up right at the riverbed which turned into an elephant highway every night. Exploring the area with our very experienced and knowledgable guides Craig and Elijah, we saw lots of plains game but also elephant, buffalo and lion close by.
Highly recommended to everyone who loves nature and wants to travel off the beaten track!

on the water we had to manouver the hippos and crocs...some fast heart beat moments.

2nd canoe trip in as many years--both fantastic
Last year was the Mopane canoe and this year I did a private 3-night trip with the Shoreline itinerary, but camping on the islands. Outstanding combo. Guides Norman and Manu were excellent and we saw probably 150 elephants on the trip, plus many other mammals and birds. The day I spent in Natureways camp before leaving on the canoe trip was rewarding. We saw animals from the vehicle and on foot.
The trip was booked through Doug Macdonald because the bulk of my Mana Pools trip was with him. I appreciated this unusual hybrid trip being made available to me.
