Seamless and memorable
Danica booked us a family trip to Tanzania/Serengeti, Maasai Mara, Nairobi, Victoria falls and Cape Town. We got other quotes like from Abercrombie and Kent which are were similar, but ultimately went with Encompass Africa due to the great communication, much more personalised attention and the better quality of accommodation. Unlike the other people we got quotes from, Danica was always on hand to answer any questions, could tweak itineraries even at the last minute and offer excellent advice, even when I sent so many emails and at all hours of the day/night. She was dedicated and efficient and it showed in the absolutely fabulous trip she organised for us. It was so seamless and stress free. We never waited with transfers, everything was organised timely and meticulously from her and her team. The accommodation was luxurious and exceeded expectation. All the flights were perfect as was the itinerary she suggested, and we are forever grateful that we chose Danica and Encompass Africa for our trip. The only thing that put a dampener was the rainy weather but I am pretty sure that if we had asked Danica to fix that, she would have found a way! Thank you again Danica and Encompass Africa. You made our trip so memorable and we can’t wait to book the next one.
Magical Tanzania
Encompass Africa (Danica) organised our second trip to Africa and similar to our first, they did not disappoint. Communication is excellent, with many date changes and different itineraries being proposed, all of which were dealt with patiently, despite our many emails and questions. Danica has so much passion and enthusiasm for Africa and that coupled with her professionalism and knowledge makes the planning almost as much fun as the trip itself. We felt safe every step of the way with our 2 teenage children and the camps we stayed in were all comfortable, with great food and amazing, warm and friendly staff who could not do enough for you. We would highly recommend Nasikia Camps. We had a guide from Massai Wanderings for our first 4 days and he had a wealth of knowledge and was patient with the thousands of questions from our teenage son. The whole tour was without hitch, camps great, wildlife sightings excellent, staff superb and we can't wait for our next trip. The tour included Dar es Salam, Arusha, Tarangire National Park (so many elephants and birds!),Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and the awesome Serengeti. It was magical to experience a hot air ballon over the Serengeti at sunrise, followed by a delicious bush breakfast with silver service and champagne. Can't wait to plan our next African adventure!

We couldn't have asked for more - Tarangire to the Serengeti & beyond
Encompass Africa were amazing to deal with. From the moment I submitted an inquiry until we arrived home, the communication was superb. Stephanie was professional, patient, knowledgeable & her replies to my (many) emails were always timely. The itinerary she put together covered everything we wanted & we had high hopes that this would be the trip of a lifetime.
We were extremely well looked after at all the camps & hotels we stayed at (all of which were great) & our guide for our 9 day safari was was fantastic. The wildlife sightings were beyond compare & exceeded our expectations. We're particularly fond of big cats & they certainly didn't disappoint, with many cheetah sightings & so many lions in the Serengeti alone that we were in cat-heaven.
We followed up our safari with a Zanzibar stay (which was fabulous - the hotel was beautiful & such a relaxing setting) & then flew to Cape Town for a few days of wining & dining before we were homeward bound.
Encompass Africa delivered everything we could have hoped for & more & we'll definitely be using them again for our next trip!

Fantastic company!
Had a really good experience working with Encompass Africa. My motivation for going to Africa was to climb Kilimanjaro, which I had already booked myself. Doing a safari while I was there was an afterthought and my problem with planning the trip was having ideas about where I wanted to go, but not knowing how to piece it all together. I spent a morning calling a few different companies and was getting quite frustrated by people not taking the time to understand what I was after or asking for money before they would listen to me. Speaking to Steph was like a breath of fresh air. Not only was she so lovely to talk to, but she took the time to understand what I needed and how she could make it work. It only took a few e-mails back and forth to work out an itinerary and flights and I was blown away by Steph's knowledge and expertise. Communication leading up to our trip was excellent and every detail was thought out and looked after. Every part of the trip flowed seamlessly and it was the best holiday I have been on so far. I would definitely become a repeat customer if I am fortunate enough to be able to travel to Africa again and would not hesitate to recommend Encompass Africa.
Worked like clockwork
Encompass Africa put together a bespoke tour for us. This meant the merging of different experiences, different countries and different on the ground tour operators. The experience was fantastic; everything from the standard of accommodation through to the experience of the various guides. Encompass Africa were easy to deal with, excellent communicators and planned everything down to the last detail. I would recommend this company highly.

Well organised and knowledgeable
We went to Zimbabwe (Hwange National Park and Victoria Falls) and Uganda (gorilla trekking) and Encompass Africa organised it all. They were quick and efficient in suggesting various itineraries and knowledgeable about the different options we could have.
The holiday was fantastic and everything worked as it was supposed to. The partners they used in those countries (operators and accommodation) were excellent - friendly and attentive.
I would definitely recommend Encompass Africa to others.

5 week safari holiday in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania.
Encompass Africa were superb in every respect. Being a lengthy safari trip in many countries our holiday had many moving parts including being met in each new location (18 flights), ground transport arrangements, tours organised, accomodation booked etc. The entire holiday went like clockwork, without a glitch. The selected safari camps were superb being a combination of tented and more permanent types and every single one of them have many positive points to recommend them.
The wildlife we were introduced to in all locations was absolutely mind blowing and the selected camps were exactlythe experience that was requested in every case.
This trip was the realisation of a 50 plus year dream for me and it lived up to its hype and then some - I am genuinely besotted by Africa and our experience was fabulous in everyway thanks to Encompass Africa.

Truly amazing, professional, knowledgeable and customer focussed.
Our safari experience exceeded all our expectations. From my first contact with Encompass Africa until we returned home from our trip I was so impressed with the knowledge and customer focus of our travel agent, Steph. We were so grateful for her insider knowledge which helped us finalise our itinerary and the changes and suggestions she made were amazing and lead to us seeing and doing things that we wouldn't have otherwise. Every time I called or emailed I got a return contact almost immediately. Everything single arrangement including transfers, flights. Tours etc ran smoothly. This was one of the best holidays I have ever had and encompass Africa made this all possible. I will definitely use them again for our next adventure and cannot recommend them more.

Fun & Full filled
Planning trips of this kind takes work & when our friends a few years ago set up their 3 week African itinerary only to be informed on the day of departure that a fire broke @Jomo Kenyatta Intl airport, Encompass Africa stepped up calmly & timely re-worked all bookings (air, accommodations, connections) from scratch. Simple.
We wanted to work with a business that provided personalised attention & real commitment to service based on informed knowledge. Jono & Katie patiently crafted out bucket list trip (trekking Uganda for time with mountain gorillas to witnessing wildebeest river crossings at the Mara in Tanzania, plus people/culture connections, and while on safari, seeing: iconic five, ugly five, big five - well, minus rhino

Wonderful and the best of our nine safaris.
This was our 9th safari, most with Encompass Africa, and the best in all aspects.
Sable Camp, Mala Mala, South Africa for 4 nights. Wildlife included wild dog packs, wild dogs interacting with a male leopard, mega lion pride of 17, male leopard and hyena fighting over a carcus, lots of elephants. Land Rovers have a door behind the driver for easy access. Never seen this before. Ranger Ryan outstanding as were all the staff, food and lodge facilities. Only minus was vehicle did not have a canopy.
Four nights at Splash Camp, Botswana - saw two large wild dogs packs with pups. Wildlife included cheetahs, lots of elephants, buffaloes and sable. Great sunsets and reflections in the water. Can have a helicopter flight from the camp over the Delta. Excellent food.
Three nights at San Camp, in the salt pans of Botswana. A WOW camp in the setting and as if you were in the camps of East Africa in the 1930's. BUT very comfortable. Solar hot water, Solar lights in classic white tents with all mod cons. Dinner by kerosine lights (very romantic). Outstanding food. Meerkats that are happy to forage around you and sit on your head or shoulder if you sit down! They get a better view of raptors to warn the others. Lions interacting with a herd of zebras and wildebeest at a water hole.
All transfers at Jo’burg and Maun were organised and VERY effective.
Looking forward to our 10th safari and with Encompass Africa!
