Excellent itinerary!
I am a photographer from Brazil. I had amazing time in Botswana with Moonstroll team. The guys were great and the encounters amazing. I will do that again. We went to Chobe and Savuti. Thank you, guys. Very nice and professional guides. It was my first time in Botswana and I will increase the destinations there with this team.

10 day mobile safari in Botswana
A personalized tour of the Okavango delta from a knowledgeable and professional team. We were so well taken care of from A to Z. We really appreciated the dedicated personal service from the whole team. Nothing was too much trouble for them to arrange. We saw a wide variety of animals, including 5 sighting of leopard. They are a trustworthy organisation, and I will definitely travel with them again. The camping was amazing, with elephants wondering pas our breakfast table on the very first morning !

Amazing camping Safari in outback Botswana
In July we returned from a safari in Botswana. For my family of four (including two teenage boys) it was our first time to Africa. We had dreamt of the trip for a long time, and the camping safari with Moonstroll surpassed all expectations.
Our Safari started in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, with a local tour provider who Moonstroll arranged for us. After our tour of the falls (wow!) we transferred to Botswana where our safari commenced. The next 5 days included multiple game drives, a boat tour on Chobe River and a mokoro tour in Okavango. The wildlife was abundant. We saw many elephants, giraffe and hippopotamuses. Highlights included seeing a leopard that had dragged an impala up a tree in Savuti, and front row seat on an interaction between lions and elephants (two lionesses were sizing up a young elephant for dinner) and driving through Moremi reserve with water holes full of hippopotamus and crocodile. Our Guide, Tracker and Driver was Thuso. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and all the different birds. Thuso worked long days with us, as we were keen to savour every last minute of daylight on the game drives.
We love camping in Australia, so thought a camping safari would be a great way to experience Africa. The Moonstroll team made sure we had fantastic camp sites arranged in the parks and reserves. A highlight was camping on the edge of a hippopotamus pool for two nights in Khwai and getting to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner by their waterhole. Camping was a great choice - hearing animals noises at night was also something else!! Another benefit was that we didn’t need to leave the park to drive back to a lodge. The evening we watched the leopard we stayed until almost dark as our campsite was only a few minute’s drive away.
We had two tents to accommodate our family of four. Each tent had comfortable single camp stretchers and an annex addition for an outdoor ensuite bathroom. Kennedy and Howard did a great job setting up a comfortable campsite in each location.
Our Safari chef, Midoh, created delicious meals each day and the highlight was a traditional meal she prepared for our family on the last night. On the days we travelled to a new campsite we had a picnic on the road and these generally included some meat, salad and pasta, campfire bread and fruit.
Mr Monametsi from Moonstroll made all our arrangements and it was well executed by his team. We feel privileged to have had this experience, and would highly recommend both Moonstroll and Botswana to have an African Safari adventure.

everything was organized perfectly, we didn't have to think about anything
we did a 4 and a half day safari starting from Maun and returning to Maun at the beginning of August, with a visit to Moremi Park and Kwai Park. it was an unforgettable experience. Moonstroll Safari assigned us a guide (Dylos) with many years of experience and who allowed us to see all the animals possible at very close range. also the possibility of sleeping in a campsite in the middle of the national park was wonderful. I highly recommend choosing this company. I recommend not to be anxious if the email responses do not arrive immediately as they are often busy with other safaris, even if in the end everything was organized perfectly

Perfect organization and highly professional.
We spent nine days in the bush moving from Maun to Kasane with our guide General, our chef Hotata and Kennedy, who took care of the camping site. These people made our holiday an unforgettable experience. General managed to find lions, leopards and cheetahs every day. Kennedy always prepared our temporary homes beautifully and the food from Hotata was better than some restaurants. The wonderful days were crowned by the experience of seeing impessive Victoria Falls, where Moonstroll arranged our transportation and accommodation. Once again everything went perfectly smoothly. In summary, the organisation, food and care were of a high standard provided by absolutely wonderful people. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Amazing experience!
My group of 5 had an incredible time on the 7-day Victoria Falls to Okavango Delta safari. We were met at the airport in Victoria Falls and everything there was handled through our lodge, including a lovely guided tour of the falls (Zimbabwe side). Our Victoria Falls lodge also handled our transfer to Botswana, where another driver met us; everything went smoothly and was very easy for us. We then had a wonderful boat tour on the Chobe River, where we saw a group of elephants cross the river at sunset. After the boat tour we met our guide for the rest of the safari, Sox, who was amazing! Sox took us on our game drives and handled the rest of our transfers on the safari. The game drives were incredible. We saw so many amazing animals, including many that Sox sought out for us. Our three nights of camping were also amazing. Our chef, Enoch, cooked incredible meals for us (taking into account our dietary restrictions), and camp manager Gaetey and camp services Jonathan made sure everything was comfortable. There was even a toilet and shower set up behind each tent! I highly recommend Moonstroll!

An Awesome Experience of a Lifetime
While I have experienced driving through a game reserve, this was the first safari for a friend and me. We are retired nurses and admittedly adventuresome. As we approached this trip, we felt some trepidation because there were some unknowns. The safari, however, turned out to be so much more than we ever imagined.
Our safari guide was Ben who had 18 years of experience and was simply awesome. Of the hundreds of questions we asked during our 10-day safari, I think he only once said he didn't know. In addition to recognizing all the animals we saw – including birds – Ben provided detailed descriptions of their behavior and habits. We learned about coalitions of lions (groups of males), bedazzles of zebras (tight clusters to fend off predators), towers (groups) of standing giraffes, and saw giraffes on a journey (the term for a traveling group). We learned how young male baboons take turns serving as sentries by perching on the very top of dead trees, so they can warn their troops when they see a predator.
Ben's senses were astonishing. One of our experiences, for example, happened while we were stopped to gaze up at two bateleurs (scavenger birds). Suddenly, Ben said, “I smell a kill”. He drove off on a side road and we came across four lionesses resting in the shade after having gorged themselves on a close by waterbuck carcass.
Ben could also recognize anything he saw. Yes, we occasionally approached a form that turned out to be a tree stump. But he could also make out the outline of lions in the very tall grass at nightfall. While in camp, he could interpret the calls of different animals and said he always slept with his ears open to what was going on.
The food was superb. Mr. E (Enoch) was our professionally trained chef. He made everything from scratch and cooked on an open camp stove. We had stews, pasta with Bolognese sauce, lasagna and the most delicious baked casseroles, and bread – all made in great cast iron pots. We frequently commented that it could have been a five-star restaurant.
Our camp assistant was Kennedy, a very personable young man who was studying to become a safari guide. He made sure we were taken care of and helped us navigate any activities associated with camp life.
There were no ticks, mosquitos or even flies. The main challenge was the unseasonable heat in early March, although it was a dry heat unlike the humid heat we experience in the Eastern U.S. Safety was not an issue. It quickly became apparent that our guides were trustworthy and very capable of protecting us. We learned – and immediately became comfortable with the fact -- that predators don’t enter camp looking for unwary tourists.
If you go, try to get the Moremi (or Chobe) Game Reserve Tourist Map. These beautiful souvenir guidebooks are available at the entrance gates to the various game reserves. They show all the common animals and birds, with little boxes to check off as you see them. I highly recommend Moonstroll Vantage Expeditions. This safari is an experience of a lifetime!
