We managed to see plenty of wildlife.
Mike from Spirit of Kenya is a great guy and we really felt at ease with him. He is a knowledgeable guide, engaging, and adapted to our needs.

Fantastic Safari Tour Company
I run a travel adventure YouTube channel and travel a lot. Spirit of Kenya is one of the best, well-run companies I've worked with. Jorge, our trip organizer, was fantastic! He was super responsive and answered dozens and dozens of questions for us. Jorge priced many different options for us and gave us great recommendations. Everything he recommended like where to go and where to stay was accurate and worked out great. I had a of couple of special requests, I wanted some photography bean bags for example, and Jorge made sure they were loaded in the vehicle. Spirit of Kenya was very organized and provided everything we needed from the time we landed at the airport until our guide dropped us off at the airport at the end of our trip. Our guide, Rufus, was also fantastic! He worked tirelessly to make sure we saw the animals we really wanted to see. He was also very knowledgeable on animal habits and where and when to see them. We spent 9 days with Rufus on various game drives across Amboseli and the Masai Mara. He was very patient with us and we made plans every night for the following day. He let us decide on the type of game drives we wanted to do and when to go. A good guide is a must for a successful Safari. See my photos for just a small sample of all the animals Rufus helped us find. I found Spirit of Kenya also to be extremely affordable compared to other options. I've heard of safari companies going out of business after you have paid your money so picking the right company is the biggest and most important decision you will make. I can't recommend this company enough. They are the best! Check out my YouTube channel to see exactly how great our experiences were.

Very excellent guide and hotels, but not exactly a “luxury safari”
We started Safari with a van that, fortunely, had a problem before we started the road to Masai Mara. They kindly give us a jeep to excuse of it, but to reach the car the travel was very long and “adventurous”. First guide was very helpful, but for a “luxury safari” we were expected to have a different treatment.
When we reach the jeep in Narok, our guide was excellent. He knew very well masai mara and show us bigs 5 and all possible kind of animals live in Mara.
Ilkeliani camp was very good, in service and for food!
Lunch for the last day we were expected Spirit of Kenya provide a en route lunch packed by the hotel, but we payed a full day safari but Did only 2 Hours in the morning without a hotel meal.
Last thing that can’t allow to us to define this a Luxury Safari was the cars condition ( vero vero old) and lack of uniform for guide.

Amazing vacation
Hands down this was one of the best vacations, lots of animals, friendly and knowledgeable guide and great value for the money. Our guide, Nester, made sure we were comfortable and had the chance to see all the animals. Absolutely stunning!

Excellent!! Unforgettable memory on Safari made by Sprit of Kenya.
I and my wife were planned this safari trip to celebrate our honeymoon. Our Personal Journey Designer Jorge made the awesome arrangements for our special occasions.
Of course, our lovely and knowledgeable tour guide Raphael was very hard work and patiently took us to the perfect the right spots to see animals and birds in Samburu and Masai Mara as well as Lake Nakuru, we were witnessed all the big 5 and ugly 5 more than that. Moreover, he was profoundly to explain history of Kenya to allow us understood of local culture vividly. Humorous Moses took us to feed lovely giraffe in the giraffe center that was a really special experience. Really appreciate folks from Sprit of Kenya to make our trip safe, comfortable and unforgettable.
Asante sana. :)

Fantastic Experience!
Fantastic safari experience with Spirit of Kenya. Our family group of 6 people spent 7 days on safari visiting 4 national parks and the trip was extraordinary. In advance, Victor was super in helping us arrange all the details and answering all our questions. The variety of accommodations and national parks was well thought out and our guide, Rafael was experienced and knowledgeable. We saw an incredible variety of wildlife (including lions and cheetahs). Everywhere we stayed was comfortable and the food was excellent. The all inclusive experience made it easy for us to sit back and enjoy each other's company and all the amazing scenery and wildlife.

Glorified accomodation booking service
The booking process with Spirit of Kenya started positive. However when trying to get more detailed information on the accomodation booked, itinerary specific etc things started to get less impressive. I never managed to get booking details from our Tanzania accomodation from the operator. So we tried to get this info from the accomodation. However without the booking confirmation code ( which Spirit never provided) they could not helps us either. So it became a guessing game in what kind of room, which what inclusions we would stay. Worst part was that Spirit seriously understated all travel times. As I read in a few other recent reviews. This seems to be serial. A quoted 1.5 hrs drive would be 3 hours. And a 6 hour drive became a 11.5 hrs on the road!!!! On top of this they forgot to book Serengeti entry tickets. Causing a 90 minute wait at the gate while our guide was trying to sort this out.
In regards advise on what parts of the parks were good or not to stay in we received absolutely no recommendations leading to very long drives from accomodation to known hot spots for animals.

Amazing Trip with a wonderful Safari Guide and a very helpful tour company - Spirit of Kenya
Thank you again for all your help and assistance in arranging our family trip to Kenya. It was an amazing trip, and my husband relived his childhood memories throughout the holiday. All your recommendations on where to stay were spot on, and also, the guidance in building the safari week was much appreciated, followed by a lovely relaxing week on the beach. Your quick response to my many questions was second to none.
Rufus, our Safari Guide, was outstanding. A lovely, humble man who was so informative and helped us search out all the wildlife and more. He is a credit to your company, and we would most certainly recommend him to other guests looking for a wonderful safari guide.
Thank you once again for everything. It was a holiday of once in a lifetime!

Great, with the ride guide!
I went on this trip as a solo traveler, which was a great choice for me because everything was pre-planned. I had a generally fantastic time and saw some amazing sights and animals! Overall, I am very happy with my experience!
My only feedback, and why I'm not giving 5-stars, is because my guide was knowledgeable, but hard to understand and communicate with. He sometimes seemed a bit harsh in his tone and when it's just the two of us for 7-days, it would have been nice to have a more personable host. Also, there were times when he didn't know what was scheduled and this led to uncomfortable situations; for example, I had booked a walking tour at Lake Naivasha and the guide didn't know about this, until he was putting me on the boat. This lack of knowledge led to me taking the walking tour in flip flops instead of close-toed shoes (I still have scratches on my feet) and I was carrying a heavy bag. Additionally, the vehicle was not what I expected; very old and uncomfortable.
