Outstanding planning and organisation from initial enquiry to final flight home !
My husband and I had planned to go on safari for his 65th birthday but sadly he passed away at age 60 and so I felt tgat was,a,dream I would not fulfil .Approaching 70 I felt now that the time was right .
From initial enquiries to Amelia,at Wayfarer a crafted safari experience was born! I travelled to Botswana and stayed in tge Ikavango Delta initially then Chobe .Both lodges were wonderful but a particular mention to Khwai Lediba ..the setting, the staff ,the excellent accommodation and superb food will never be forgotten .Our guide Max was outstanding ..do patient but above all hugely informative. I travelled on my own and at no time did I feel anxious as everyone I met was superb.
The next lodge was Chobe Bakwena lodge ..situated on banks of Chobe river ..it was a bigger lodge but still very comfortable and our guide there was Ben who did his utmost to make tge next few days exhilarating..I clues g managing a wonderful sighting of a leopard !
I finished my trip with sightseeing at Victoria Falls .
I can truly say from beginning to end the trip was magnificent and I felt very safe and included.
It has revived my confidence in solo travel and now wonder where I will go in 2025 !
What an experience ..tgank you to all in Wayfarer ...excellent company and superb helpful staff .

Great Company - very good service and support
Ellie and Chanelle are fabulous travel agents. They were extremely helpful from our initial inquiries and throughout our trip. They arranged wonderful accommodations in South Africa. All the meet ups and flights went exactly as planned. When I got in touch with Chanelle while on our trip she responded immediately and was very helpful. Thank you both for a wonderful experience. I look forward to planning our next trip.

Our trip was wonderful
We traveled to Tanzania for the first part of our trip, staying in Moshi to do a day hike to the waterfalls, a village visit, and a day hike to Mount Kilimanjaro. The hike was hard, but such a great experience. Highly recommend this in your itinerary.
We then traveled to Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, and the Northern Serengeti for the safari portion if our trip. Tarangire was beautiful and had so many amazing animals. Our guide was very thorough. The camp was a bit far from the park, but that is just something to keep in mind when deciding when you will leave to get back for meals, relaxing, etc. We then traveled to Lake Manyara. I do wish we had skipped this park as we did not see many animals besides monkeys and a few hippos in the water. Many of the roads were flooded and it was very crowded with cars, many of which caused traffic backups in the park.
Our guide in the Serengeti was also amazing. He was truly so knowledgeable. One of our favorite activities was the hot air balloon ride. It was breath-taking and such a surreal experience. We highly recommend booking this when in Africa.
For the last part of our trip, we visited Zanzibar. Stone Town was a lot of fun, especially in the evening, but we felt the walking tour was too long. Ours exceed 5 hours when it was supposed to be a little over 1.5. We were exhausted. The beach was perfect and relaxing and a nice end to our adventure.
The booking experience was good and pretty seamless. There were a few times when communication could have been better. I do think this is very important, especially once travelers have landed on the ground. The value for the money was good. We knew we wanted to make this trip amazing and we thank you all for your help in doing so. Wayfairer was reliable, had reliable guides, reliable accommodations, and was truly a pleasure to work with.

Amazing Journey Through Southern Africa
We traveled through Southern Africa: South Africa, Victoria Falls (Zambia and Zimbabwe), Okavengo Delta (Botswana), Caprivi Strip (Namibia), and Chobe (Botswana). It was a great adventure and we were very pleased with the planning and logistics put together by Ettiene at Wayfairer. We were able to get great advice on pre trip logistics (e.g. how to deal with visas and empty passport pages). Additionally we had great support during our trip with recommendations on activities and things to expect. We also added a week to our trip to drive the Garden Route, which Ettiene put together for us as well.

Excellent service from start to finish.
My experience with Wayfaire was exactly what I needed. It started with the wonderful Kate Kilmartin who designed 4 country safari for me. As a single female travelling to Africa safely was paramount. I was not let down. There was no place I stayed that I didn’t feel safe. The staff on the ground were friendly and efficient. Every place had luxury accommodation and the food was phenomenal.
The concierge Service provided by Chanelle Cook was equally amazing. Chanelle was in contact regularly to ensure that my trip was meeting my expectations. When my main luggage was lost between Victoria Falls and Kilimanjaro Airport. Chanelle handled everything in a professional manner and found my luggage. She ensured that all protocols were followed and I did not have to worry about getting it back. Chanelle was in contact with me at every stage of my trip.
Here are my personal favourites.
Kwando Safaris (4 Rivers). Kate knew this was a place I would like. Kate I didn’t just like it… I loved it. It was more than Phenomenal Safari sightings that made this place special. It was a privilege to sit down with the staff at the end of the day and share our experiences.
Kirurumu Serengeti North Camp was wonderful. Looking out of my tent and seeing wildebeest grazing right outside was surreal.
A shout out to Duma/Alika Africa for their support, dedication and problem solving to ensuring I had the best single person safari.
This was a bucket list trip that did not disappoint. I would travel with them again and highly recommend Wayfair to other people.

Excellent service by Chanelle and the Wayfairer team
It was our first time in a Safari trip and we were very thoroughly impressed by the service of the Wayfairer and AlikaAfrica team. Everything went as planned and we wished we had more time in the Ikeliani Lodge which was an absolute dream

Flawless Trip. Everything was PERFECT!
My wife and I have always wanted to do a Safari. I typically plan the trips we go on. I wasn't comfortable doing this to Africa. There were so many unknowns to me. We started with three different travel services and settled on Wayfairer. We made the right decision. We were gone for 14 days and didn't have a single problem.

A wonderful week in Zambia with Kafunta Safaris staying at their River Lodge and Three Rivers Camp in South Luangwa National Park. fabulous game and very comfortable lodge and camp. Plus Latitude 15 in Lusaka is one of the most charming boutique hotels I have ever stayed in.

it is a very good operator whose staffs are responsible, in patience, well organized.
I chose Wayfairer Travel because when I wrote to them to inquire itinerary of my journey, they wrote back very soon and accurately. In general, everything was good, such as service, reliability and the tours. As our journey was tailored, there were 4 different places and local company served us, respectively Roots & Journey in Nokanyana and Mopiri Camp, Jackalberry chobe, bayete Guest Lodge, Kruger Shalati. Roots & Journey is very good, the best one in this journey.
There is one thing I felt sorry. The representative might not fully understand me when we discussed our itinerary, because I think the best place in Chobe is Savute and Linyanti, but we didn't visit it.
