Fabulous experience. Knowledgeable guides.
Was picked up at 6:30 am for the 10-hr drive to Rushaga gorilla camp. My driver/ guide, Reagan provided expert insights into the geography, the various attractions Uganda has to offer, the towns and cities we passed, and stopped to allow me to take photos along the way, including at the equator. The restaurants where we stopped offered delicious food which was all included in the tourism package. I loved staying at the lodge. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed my gorilla trekking experience and would book with Ngoni again for future tours of beautiful Uganda.

Excellent Excellent Excellent 5 stars
This was our second safari with Ngoni
We had gone last year and they did such a fabulous job during our first safari that we came back and second time again was excellent
From Sedrick helping with the booking and itinerary and then James , Steven and Ryan were our guides for the big family trip and all of them did an excellent job
Uganda is beautiful and in my opinion the best safari destination as I have have been to South Africa , Kenya and Tanzania as well but Uganda is the one that doesn’t get the publicity like the other countries

Found the A Team
I selected Ngoni based on other people's comments on TripAdvisor and the way how they addressed My requests. The service during the trip was exceptional and they were always attentive and quick to respond to any request and suggestion.

Awesome!
It was our first “real” Africa experience. That is why we opted for a tour with a guide. And that was such a great experience. You will be picked up. Drove everywhere. So you can enjoy yourself optimally. You feel safe and completely unburdened.
The accommodations were beautiful. Everything is perfectly arranged. The food is delicious! And then the country itself, the culture, the people and all the animals🤩 This is my most beautiful trip ever. And I have already seen a lot of the world. This 10 day tour has everything. It was very special to see the chimpanzees and gorillas in the wild.
We had a very nice guide who was a good driver and also told us a lot about his country. And also about all the animals we saw. Also thanks to him. He knew where to look and could also communicate with other guides on the savannah. To be able to spot even more. And we also thought the price for this trip was very important. We got a lot for our money. All meals and water included, all accommodations, the entrances to the parks, the Permits for the chimpanzee trekking and the gorilla trekking. Eddy our driver, guide and very nice, sweet young man. The car, the diesel costs. Everything all inclusive. I can recommend it to everyone!

Great experience with Ngoni Safaris! Highly recommend!
Our 8-day journey through Uganda with Ngoni Safaris, led by our guide and driver, Allanie, was a trip we'll never forget. Allanie was helpful and considerate, ensuring our adventure was seamless and enjoyable.
By happy accident, we booked the premium package, with stays at luxury lodges. The accommodations surpassed our expectations, providing not only comfort but also unforgettable wildlife encounters right at our doorstep.
Even though we had some incredible wildlife encounters on safari the highlight of our trip was the primates. Observing chimpanzees and gorillas in their natural habitat was a breathtaking and surreal experience.
Sedrick, who assisted us in organizing our trip, was able to fulfill several special requests, making our planning process smooth. The itinerary was meticulously planned, allowing us to relax and simply take in Uganda's breathtaking landscapes beauty.
For those seeking to experience Uganda, we highly recommend Ngoni Safaris. Their professionalism and dedication to providing memorable experiences made our safari truly special.

Sometimes a little difficult to plan, but great to implement
I had booked a three-week safari tour in Uganda. The trip is one of my most beautiful travel experiences and was really great and very well organized. Uganda is absolutely worth seeing and, in addition to great animal sightings, offers a wonderful and varied landscape. Even the transfer trips that led through towns and villages were interesting. My highlight was Kidepo National Park, which was rightly declared by CNN to be one of the most beautiful national parks in Africa.
My companion was Eddy, who was careful and reliable both as a guide and driver and took very good care of me. He responded to my wishes and always had an answer to my questions about the country, people, animals and everything else and was otherwise an interesting conversation partner.
Since I was traveling alone, I had adapted the itinerary to my needs in advance and planned breaks and changed, added or omitted some activities at short notice. A tour of this kind can be quite strenuous and for me it was good to have time to relax and process all the impressions. It's also a good idea to go to bed early, as almost all days started before sunrise.
I found communicating with Sedrick a little difficult before the trip. Initially this was very good. However, after paying the deposit, I had some requests for changes and there were often no answers or promises were not kept. I found that quite unsettling and stressful. Ultimately everything worked out well, sometimes even better than expected. However, it would have been less stressful and increased the anticipation if communication had remained consistently good. However, Sedrick was always nice, accommodating, flexible and tried to find good solutions.
I would definitely recommend Ngoni Safaris and can imagine coming back at some point.

Made us feel safe & took good care of us
We did a 13 day safari, got to see many animals and stayed at comfortable lodges. We added additional days in Kampala & Jinja because it was home for us as children. Our guide/driver David took very good care of us and we always felt very safe. Planning the trip with Sedrick was real easy, he always responded to my questions quickly. There was four of us and we all had a great time and created wonderful memories.

Elly was amazing, he made our trip.
I would strongly recommend Ngoni Tours. We had a wonderful experience on our five-day tour of Murchison Falls Park. Our tour guide, Elly was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and made our trip very enjoyable. We’re not the easiest people to please but he went out of his way to make sure we were happy and the trip was a huge success.
We had great dealings with Sedrick, who runs Ngoni. He was very flexible in designing our tour and responded immediately when we reached out to him regarding any questions or concerns.
We would like to again thank our wonderful tour guide ELLY, who helped make this an amazing safari experience. This was our first Safari and we would not hesitate to hire Ngoni Safari for our next African adventure.

Great, but lousy in communication prior to the tour
You only needed to see the first bright smile of Eddy, " the Elephant son" at the Entebbe airport and you felt, that Uganda wishes you fully welcome.
Eddy, my driver-guide for the next two weeks (14-Days Best of Uganda Safari Tour) was standing there in the early morning hours, held my name correctly written- which surely doesn’t happen too often- in the nameplate. And from that very moment on I knew, that I shall have a great journey with NGONI safaris in Uganda.
Eddy took me straight to sleep in the comfortable Cassia Lodge, helped me to buy a sim card in the afternoon and the safari proper was to start after a good sleep in the very next morning.
And what a great tour I had. Fell in love with the smiling Uganda, with the stunning scenery, with the wildlife all around.
Of course the most impressive memory of this “once in the lifetime journey” was the encounter with the enchanting gorillas.
The whole trek in the jungle was already wonderful, but staring at these beautiful creatures in the wild was the unforgettable moment, that I had always dreamed of: so fascinating, so intense.
It surely was worth every dollar invested. And even after a week of my arrival back home I’m still dreaming of these black furballs in the midst of the green jungle. Seeing them so close, that I was almost able to touch them, was an amazing experience.
The hike uphill was not at all so hard as I feared, despite of the fact, that it was raining cats and dogs in the previous evening and night. Yes, the path was partly muddy and very slippery, but surely tolerable.
Luckily I had hired a porter to carry my backpack filled with 2,5 liters water, spare jumper, camera lens and a lunchbox. That made my steps up and down so much lighter during this 5,5 hours’ walk in total. My porter, a young and strong lady was always ready to offer her hand for help in the trickier bits of this jungle adventure.
Before getting to the gorillasI had praised my safari already daily. I loved the rhinos, loved my Uganda baptism by the powerful waters of Murchison falls, and I loved every second of the excitement of chasing the lions and leopards, hippos and giraffes in the wild.
Another mega-highlight was naturally the other jungle trek to see the chimpanzees, in the Kibale national park. What a powerful and great experience it was as well. I never knew, how cute they can be in their real habitat and how near I was able to get to stare at them- just a couple of meters away.
And surely I loved my ultra-relaxing and comfortable lodges. I had chosen a midrange level safari, but felt very often being treated as a first class customer. The meals were generally great, occasionally brilliant.
Especially the fine dining-level reached at the Zigarama and Arcadia-lodges was just incredible. Not to talk about the comfort of zipping the morning coffee at my own balcony in the wonderful Turaco Treetops lodge. It will never be forgotten, nor the meditative moments spent in the swimming pool in the Buffalo Safari lodge.
On top of this great safari I got also a wonderful new friend, a Spanish lady, Begonia. She was also travelling solo with the Ngoni safaris at the same time as I.
We had our own cars and drivers and rooms, but shared the same itinerary and the lodges. Begonia is such a brilliant and inspiring travelmate, that I was more than happy to enjoy my meals and drinks with her daily.
Also her driver and interpreter, the two D’s (Dennis and David) were wonderful fellows, kind, fun and so helpful.
I surely owe warm thanks of my great safari to Eddy, to my talented, intelligent, entertaining and caring guide. He loves Uganda and he wants to share that love with his customer, too.
During the long drives we were sometimes listening our favourite songs from Eddy’s smart phone. One song uniting us deeply was Tina Turner’s “Simply the best”. Just like you, Eddy: simply the best!
I give five stars of my safari to Ngoni safaris, BUT there is a slight minus attached to these stars as well. That minus goes to mr Sedrick, to the boss. His customer handling and communication skills prior to my journey were pretty hopeless.
I had to contact him far too often via what’s app, phoning and messaging just to confirm, that my payments have arrived and my tour is due to come true as written in the itinerary.
Finally, but only two days before flying to Uganda I got all the necessary information I had been longing for, including the name of my guide. Had I got that information at least a week earlier, it had saved me a lot of unnecessary worrying and stress. I even started to think, that Ngoni safaris is not at all a true company and all my thousands of dollars were sent to a hacker firm.
So mr Sedrick, please, send just a simple “welcome to Uganda letter” to your customers EARLY enough, and make your clients start enjoying one of their greatest ever journeys already prior to getting to Uganda. If you are too busy to do it, please, delegate!
And tips for the fellow travellers: make sure that your drinking water supply is secured - as written in the itinerary - all the time: not only during the transfers and in the meals, but also in the lodges.
With all those thousands of dollars paid for the tour, the price must cover also all the drinking water consumed.
Remember also to carry only newer US dollar notes with you. I was able to change only the notes from the year 2009 onwards, none before that.
