Unforgettable positive experience with Lenchada Safaris. Our Guide was Richard. I can recommend him.He is the best guide in Kenya. Richard showed us a lot of animals in Masai Mara park for 2 days. We saw Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Leopards and crocodiles. Thank you Richard and Lenchada Safaris.

Reliable and efficient
5/5

Visiting Masai Mara along with Nakuru and Naivasha was an absolutely mesmerizing experience. Masai Mara is definitely a must!

The guides cooperate efficiently to make sure that you experience the reserve park to the fullest seeing the entire big five as well as plenty of other animals. The guides are eager to answer your questions and share stories about animals.

The most memorable was seeing the food chain „in practice” - first a cheetah devouring its prey and soon afterwards the scavangers having their share.

I would appreciate even more stories about the relations between the animals like the one about two cheetah brothers and of whom had been killed by a topi recently so now there is one left within this certain territory. The guides know so much - make sure you benefit from it as much as possible!

5 star operator without the price tag
5/5

I booked a 5 day trip to Masai Mara, Nukuru and Lake Naivasha with Lenchada and had an incredible trip from start to finish. Very good value for money, especially compared with other operators.

Alex in the office was super helpful, answered all our queries and responded quickly.

Our tour guide Moses was amazing. Very friendly and always cheery, which made a huge difference to the tour. He’s also extremely knowledgable and passionate about the different parks and animals, and has unbelievable eyesight - spotting animals miles in the distance before anyone else could see them. He knew the different parks like the back of his hand and went out of his way to ensure everyone was happy. He also made sure we saw all the big 5 and got close enough (responsibly) to the animals so that we could get great shots. You could clearly see the difference between Moses and operators at other companies. He was brilliant and I can’t recommend him or Lenchada enough. The advantage of using Lenchada is that they are experienced and have lots of drivers who are constantly communicating with one another in the parks via radios to tell one another if and where they’ve spotted animals, so you have a higher chance of seeing all the animals.

A bit about my tour: I went for a ‘budget’ package which included camping in tents at Lenchada’s own camp at the Masai, but the tents were really spacious with beds and a private bathroom inside. Staff at the camp were extremely helpful and friendly and no task was too much for them. In Nakuru and Naivasha we stayed in hotel rooms which were basic but sufficient and good value for money. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all included as well as water and all park fees. Totally transparent pricing with no hidden fees.

I’d highly recommend going to Nakuru and Naivasha as well as Masai Mara. Nakuru is a beautiful park with impressive landscapes and Rhinos. In Naivasha you can drive, walk or cycle through hells gate, which is a very beautiful park with picturesque cliffs and home to giraffes and zebras (amongst other animals) who roam freely around the park. You also have the option of walking amongst giraffes, gazelles, zebras and wildebeest close by to the Lake Naivasha Resort for a small additional charge, which I’d really recommend as you get to see the animals up very close.

All around an amazing experience with Lenchada. You won’t be disappointed if you book!

Professional and reliable operator
5/5

We were on 4 day safari in Masai Mara & Nakuru Lake. Contact with tour operator before safari was very good.
On the safari our driver Denis was very informative. He had very wide knowledge about animals and park's topography.
We were accommodated in a nice camp near Masai Mara. It was very cozy and really clean (given it was accommodation in a tent), food was really good.

Great Safari experience on budget!
5/5

We had a 5-day Safari tour with Lenchada Safaris, spent 3 days in Mara, 1 day in Nakuru and 1 day in Navaisha.
John was our guide/driver, he is great, very knowledgeable and funny. We got to see lions, cheetahs, leopard, elephants and many more. We stayed at Lenchada Camp, at first sight (from the outside) it looks very minimalist (don't expect to see a nice garden/flowers) but the tents are very comfy, nice and clean, you have your own shower (with hot water) and your own toilet. To eat and charge your phones you have a common reception room. The camps rely on renewable energy and use generators in the evenings from 6-10pm and 7-10am (if I recall correctly), when you can charge all your device. Note when on Safari, the Land Cruiser also has plugs).
After Mara, we spent a lot of time in the car, traveling to Nakuru to visit Nakuru National Park, where we saw flamingos, Rhinos. We also did some rock climbing that was scary but super cool. We stayed at Lanet martfam resort. We then went to Navaisha, it was raining so we had to shorten the boat trip (we were offered to do it the next day but we were a bit tired with drive so decided not to), we stayed at Dove nest lodge. Both Lanet and Dove are 3 stars hotels, are clean they are good enough for budget hotels.
From a culinary perspective, the food was not great, (I guess you don't necessarily go to safaris for the food experience) but the places were clean overall and no case of food poisoning.
Overall very good Safari experience on budget. I think 3 days in Mara would have been enough personally, just because you tend to spend a lot of time in the car. But John our guide made every effort to make sure we enjoyed ourself. A big thank you to Alex and his team for organising the Safari tour. We made great memories there!
