Professional transfers and border crossing (Zim/Zambia) and great hotel
5/5

The transfers all went very well and the drivers were professional and courteous and handled the Zim/Zambia immigration hand over extremely well. We were very happy with the transfers and will certainly use you again.

The Royal Livingstone was great and we were very happy with the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Livingstone, it’s a beautiful hotel with good service.

The only major failure was unfortunately the sunset cruise on the African Queen which turned out to be a very rowdy booze cruise with a lot of very noisy conference delegates who had no respect for the river, the other passengers or the game. As we had just come from The Hide in Hwange (where we had a private guide and vehicle), this was a big shock to us and not the way we should have experienced the Zambezi. I would suggest that you assess the guests needs and tastes when booking a river cruise. In hindsight one of the smaller boats would have been much more suitable, or even just a boat trip to Livingstone Island. Guests should be warned that the African Queen is a noisy booze cruise, the main purpose of the cruise seems to be for passengers to drink as much as possible. That may be okay for conference delegates on a party, not for bush appreciation however.

Everything was planned out without any problems. The accommodations were excellent, the food was amazing, and the overall tour was great.

Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating.
We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing.
Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.

Reliable, friendly and super competent.
5/5

Our trip consisted of accommodation and tours in Victoria Falls, transfers to Botswana, accommodation and photography safaris there, then transfers back to Zimbabwe. Transfers, accommodation again in Vic Falls.

My communication was with Ludwick who was amazing. He went way above and beyond normal service to make me feel confident in the organisation of our trip. It was our first time in Africa and hence, we had a lot of questions. I think we had around 60 emails back and forth in the 6 months leading up to our trip. He provided numerous options with clear pros and cons about each, as well as helping us with all our general questions.

The trip itself ran perfectly, all transfers were on time, tour guides were very knowledgeable, special mention to Polite, who took us on most of our tours and transfers. I would most definitely recommend Falcon to anyone wanting to tailor their own trip how they want to do it. We saw many other large tour groups that looked cramped and impersonal. We are very glad that we we didn't end up on one of them, Falcon had a much more personal feel.

Fabulous, well planned trip
5/5

We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.

Excellent and efficient service
5/5

Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled

wonderful afternoon with beautiful creatures
5/5

I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon with the elephants. I rode an 8 year old female, her name is not in my head, and it was magical. She loved her treats at the end of the ride and her trainer was a lovely man. We talked the whole hour and he taught me so much about these magical creatures.

Thank You for supporting this wonderful organization with your tour company.

Wonderful communication and service.
5/5

Gertrude was always very prompt in replying during the planning process and very helpful with visa information. This trip to Africa was our first and we started with Kenya and a 10 day safari. We wanted to experience water camps and lodges as well so worked with Falcon to make that happen. Flying from Nairobi to Victoria Falls was recommended as our easiest option and Gertrude then arranged our transfers to Botswana, our lodges and camps, flights between camps, our transfers back to Victoria Falls, accommodation in in Vic Falls for 2 nights because I hadn’t been able to get a flight back to Nairobi, and our final shuttle to the airport. I had no idea just how complex this would be since the shuttle services don’t cross the Zimbabwe/Botswana border. Gertrude arranged to have a Falcon Safari’s driver pick us up from the Victoria Falls airport and take us to the Botswana border. At the border another driver was waiting for us, we had to sign our of Zimbabwe and then walk across the border to Botswana and pay for our visas. A driver went with us and our luggage was transferred from the Zimbabwe transfer vehicle to the Botswana vehicle then our trip continued to our first lodge. Our flights between lodges between the Chobe River and Okavango Delta were all small planes that Gertrude arranged and when we arrived back at the Kasane airport, a driver was waiting to take us back to the Botswana/Zimbabwe border and take us through the visa line up. Our driver from Falcon Safaris met us and our luggage was transferred while we got our visas to get back into Zimbabwe. It all worked seamlessly for us and Falcon’s vehicle had cold water after our warm wait in the visa line up. Our 2 nights accommodation in Victoria Falls was very comfortable and nicely located in the town, and our Falcon driver was at our hotel to take us to the Victoria Falls airport for our flight back to Nairobi. There were numerous times this intricate system could have broken down, but it worked flawlessly and our drivers always stayed with us until our next connection was made. We were very impressed with the great level of service. I recommend Falcon Safaris very highly - all of our lodges were very nice, the game viewing was great, and all the intricate travel connections worked extremely well.
