Hyrax Safari office was helpful and very responsive.
Our experience with Hyrax Safaris was AMAZING. We couldn't have imagined the variety of animals we were able to see in such a short period of time. Our guide Sammy was ALWAYS in the right place at the right time. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, their habitats and how they interacted with the environment and each other. The $$ paid for the 3 day safari was WELL WORTH THE IT !! The Hyrax Safari was an EXCELLENT VALUE !

Knowledgable guide for a wonderful tour
We had a wonderful 2 night, 3 day tour at the Masai Mara. We were picked up by our guide, Ben, in Nairobi for the round-trip safari. Ben was a good driver who stopped regularly for breaks along the way to stretch our legs. Once we arrived, we had lunch at the lodge and then went for an evening game drive. We were lucky to see the great migration, and saw many many wildebeest, zebras, and water buffalo. That evening we also saw a number of other animals including elephants and giraffes, but ended the night perfectly by watching three lions rest during sunset. The next day we had a full day tour in the park, we saw many other animals on our list, including leopard, cheetahs, more lions, hyenas, jackals, antelopes, topi, serval cats, and a large variety of birds. We ended this awesome day with two different groups of elephants. Ben is very knowledgeable and comfortable in the park, he answered all of our questions and pointed out animals and facts about them/the park. It is clear he is well liked by many in the park, and we can confirm that he is friendly and personable, he is also patient and made sure we got a great view, swooping in at the right moment to see the animals. Would highly recommend this experience!

Fabulous
Had a great 5 day safari with Hyrax - Philip, our driver guide, was absolutely brilliant - funny, kind, knowledgeable and an incredible driver! But also very responsible - we saw some drivers go way too close to animals and scare them; he never did that. Definitely worth paying for a jeep rather than a van - they handle the roads much better. Irene, in the office, was also great. I had to postpone my trip because I injured myself, and she held my deposit and remembered me when I finally arrived. Bearing in mind that to enter Maasai Mara is $200 a day, this safari is excellent value. MM, Nakuru and Naivasha are all nicely different - definitely worth hiring bikes and going down the gorge at Hells Gate.

Best Safari Ever
Hyrax Safaris is the best choice for your safari. It is a very serious and competent company; they solve any problem you may have.
Our driver, Sammy, was very professional. He is also a very good guide; in the Masai Mara we saw the big five in just one day!
We did the six-day tour and it is really perfect. The accommodation is great and the company helps you whenever you need it.
I highly recommend this safari and this company.

It was a great experience. I did a 7-day safari on a budget. The accommodations were a positive surprise. The guide/driver was very friendly and gave us the best views of the animals.

We participated in the 4-Day Masai Mara Only Midrange Jeep Safari, and communication with Ms. Emmah was smooth and timely. Our driver, DAN, made the 4-day journey enjoyable. DAN is an intelligent and helpful safari guide. He planned the daily itinerary from the guests' perspective and had extensive safari experience. He was very dedicated, working tirelessly each day. DAN drove safely and skillfully throughout the trip, never reckless or impulsive. During the safaris, he demonstrated skill, experience, and professionalism. Lastly, DAN showed kindness and compassion toward people with disabilities, which deeply touched us. Value for money with great service.
I am so glad to have booked my Mount Kenya hike through Hyrax Safaris. Emmah gave me plenty of information and was always quick to respond. The team, which consisted of Daniel, Kim, Douglas, John, and Morris, looked after us amazingly the whole time and made the experience unforgettable. Value for money, great experience
It was our first safari and we loved it. We got to see 2 parks got the most perfect 4x4 and our driver and guide was really awesome! Brian delivered and had a big network so we could see tons of animals.
Our lodge was fine and overall had a great experience.
