great service, reliable managent, outstanding experience
Hello Tanzania provided full service package, safari booking, guided tour, at Mikumi National Park, we saw plenty of wild animals close to the vehicle, friendly english speaking driver and guide.
Flexible and accomodating
I was in Morogoro for 5 weeks project and Hello Tanzania set up a solo 3 day safari that fit my schedule. On both days at Mikuni we saw female lions. All the other animals were in abundant display. Abdullah the Driver Gilbert the Mikumi guide, and Freddie the Udzungwa Falls guide were very pleasant and knowledgeable making the tours very enjoyable. A nice break from my work.

4 day selous tour
We booked with Hello Tanzania for 4 days in selous for 2 people, and we were very happy. The Hippo Camp is nice, the people sweet, and Mwajabu and her brother Abdallah are both very sweet and helpful people. I ended up booking with Hello Tanzania because i felt that Mwajabu was very trustworthy and response on email. We arrived in Dar es Salaam 2 days before the safari and Mwajabu came to our Airbnb to collect the money beforehand. She told us that this was needed to pay the upcoming trip and fees in advance. We did not have the dollars on hand, and ended up having to withdraw the money at the atm over several times, each costing us a big fee. Therefore a little tip for you guys, have the money ready in USD so that you can give them to Mwajabu and not have to withdraw with big fees from the atms which can only give out around 150 USD (10 USD fee) per withdrawal. Also dont walk around with big amounts of money in Dar Salaam, like any big city you can get robbed and have your purse snatched. Take only the amount you need, keep the rest at the hotel/room until you need it. Be safe, and thank you to Mwajabu and Abdallah for a good experience!

Amazing memories that will stay with us forever!
We booked a three day/two night safari with Hello Tanzania and it was perfect from start to finish! Mwajabu Mo is incredibly organised and always available to answer any questions or deal with any changes to the booking. She was able to arrange a last minute change of accommodation practically at the drop of a hat. She was always ready to make sure our trip was everything we'd hoped for. She came to our hotel the evening before to take payment and talk us through the itinerary which was very helpful.
Our driver, Abdallah, was also amazing. The drive to and from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi is approx 5 hours each way and he drove us very safely. He had a great sense of humour and was very attentive. We were supplied with water and snacks which we really appreciated!
The tours themselves are experiences we will never forget. From the Mikumi safari to the waterfall hike. Everything ran like clock work thanks to the fantastic organisation by all involved.
Vuma hills (luxury tented cabins) and camp Bastian (concrete lodges - high standard!) were where we stayed. Both amazing, the food especially was delicious. The staff at each were very warm and welcoming which is a huge part of what made our stay so fantastic.
100% would recommend Hello Tanzania. Thank you for helping us make memories that we will enjoy forever!

An excellent trip with Hello Tanzania
My parents and I traveled with Hello Tanzania for 12 days, it was a wonderful trip, and we experienced a lots. Hello Tanzania is a best safari company, Mwajabu is a very well manager, she replys the email always in times, it helped us solved some emerency problems in Tanzania. At Zanziba, because our miss, we could not connect with our driver, and both my parent and I were very worried, and I used the email connceted with her. She helped us solving the problem very fast, and we really appreciated that. All the service which they provided was totally higher than our expectations, like the hotels stayed were clean, and quiet, the staffs at hotel were really nice. The foods were delicious, and our driver at Serengeti was a very great, they provided were very great services. Our driver was very professional, he would give us a brief introduction of the place we were going to visit, and he drives very well. The road in Tanzania's national parks were not that well, but our driver's drive skill was perfect, it made us feel very safe. He knowed different species of animals at which locations of park. We saw amost all the species of animals at Serengeti.
It was an unique experiences for us. If we go back again, we will choose Hello Tanzania once again to let them help us plan our trip.

Great Safari at Mikumi and Udzungwa!
We had a great time on our tour of Mikumi National Park and Udzungwa!
We booked a three-day safari leaving from Dar Es Salaam. Two days before the safari, Mwajabu, the owner, arranged for us to be picked up by the driver, Athman, who is her brother. It was a nice touch and saved us on the taxi fare to the hotel. She met with us that evening to conduct a pre-safari briefing and to provide the final payment. She explained the itinerary, asked if we needed any special services or changes. There had been some miscommunication and apparently the final payment needed to be in cash so that they could pay for the park fees. Mwajabu and Athman gladly took us to the nearest ATM.
On the morning of the Safari, Athman picked us up and provided us peanuts and juice for breakfast. We drove directly to Mikumi, which was a five hour drive. The roads in Tanzania is quite challenging, but Athman handles it like a pro. After checking in at the park office, we started on our safari with another couple. We were joined by our guide, Gilbert. Athman drove around the park expertly, while Gilbert was hard at work on his phone getting leads from other guides. We started with a view of many impala, warthogs, zebra, wildebeest and zebra. Then, Gilbert got a call with "good news". We drove toward the good news and ran into some elephants on the way. The good news turned out to be two lionesses and their freshly killed wildebeest lunch. We were able to really get up close to to one of the lionesses, which was napping just 5 feet from our land cruiser.
After seeing the lions we headed to a restaurant in the park for lunch. Lunch was some tasty chicken. Outside the restaurant a marabou stork and some monkeys were hanging out. The rest of the day was spent driving around cm viewing many elephants, zebras, and giraffes.
After a long day we headed to Camp Bastian, where we would be staying overnight. At Camp Bastian, we were welcomed with refreshing glasses of avocado mango juice. Camp Bastian is very cute and had about a dozen cabins surrounded by beautiful gardens. The cabins were private and cute with en suite bathrooms. Dinner was served outside by candlelight and started with soup with a main of a delicious curry and rice. Alcohol was available at the bar. During dinner they took out breakfast order (omelet or pancakes) and asked us when we would like it served.
We got up for breakfast around 6:30 the next day. Breakfast was delicious and served with coffee from a French press. We then got on the road to Udzungwa. The road was mostly dirt and rutted, but again, Athman handled it like a pro. We arrived at Udzungwa and we were joined by a guide from the park. The guide was quite knowledgeable about the plants in park. We hiked a couple of hours up into the mountains and the views were spectacular. We had lunch on the top of a waterfall overlooking a beautiful view if the plains below. Lunch was a packed lunch of chicken, veggie sandwiches, banana, boiled egg, and chapati. We hiked down to a pool where people could swim though we elected not to do so ourselves. While we didn't see a lot of animals in the park, we did see a lot of beautiful butterflies and for to see a couple different kinds of monkeys.
On the last day, we went back to Mikumi and saw many giraffes, elephants, zebra impala, crocodiles, buffalo, hippos, and jackals. It was a lot of fun.
We then headed back to Dar Es Salaam. Unfortunately, we got to the city right in the midst of rush hour and it took more than 7 hours to get to our hotel. Athman never lost his cool despite the horrible traffic. Despite dropping us off at the hotel after 10 pm, Athman gladly arrived at 3:30 in the morning to take us to the airport.
We really enjoyed our safari and wholeheartedly would recommend Hello Tanzania to anyone looking for a safari in Tanzania. Thank you Mwajabu, Athman, and Gilbert!
Amazing safari, vert nice people and everything done as planned! Always available to help!
I started planning the safari trip one month before going and Mwajabu was always very efficient replying to all e-mails and giving the information i wanted.Mwajabu was on time at the airport with Abdula, her brother, that guided us to Mikumi. Mikumi is an amazing park for a 3 day safari together with udzungwa. The safari guides that were with us all the 3 days were very nice and good drivers. Nice toype 4x4. It was very easy to see all animals in Mikumi but the monkeys in udzungwa were more dificult. The bastianbcamp hotel is great and comfortable! All staff was very kind! It was a safe trip that i will not forget!
