Excellent experience.

Trouble free experience
We booked a trip through Janine for clients from Turkey that visited SA in February at Bakubung Bush Lodge and the service we got was outstanding. Emails are responded to promptly and changes were done without any hesitation. Janine is very friendly, helpful and professional. She keeps you updated on all arrangements without asking for it. Shuttle services from airport to lodge and back went smoothly. Will definitely make use of them again.

Excellent communication and easy to deal with!
Janine responded to all queries and emails promptly. She was very understanding of internet issues we encountered on our cruise ship that made accepting quotes and payment slow. She was particularly helpful regarding one of our group who uses a mobility scooter. Jannie put together four different quotes providing choices of game reserve and the number of nights.
We had a wonderful time at the Aquila Private Game Reserve. We got to see four of the Big 5 and many other unique African animals. Our driver and guide were informative and keen to show us the animals on the reserve, often up very close. They frequently checked that we had had long enough to observe the animals before moving on and reminded us how to stay safe. Such an amazing experience!
Our room, 101, was comfortable and very spacious. In fact we felt the bathroom was similar in size to our cabin on board ship!!!
The food was delicious, plentiful and dishes were labelled which was important for people with special dietary requirements. And we got to taste and try South African food!
We would particularly like to thank our driver Sasa who was very informative and answered our many questions. He even organised to return us to the ship via Table Mountain and through Capetown itself so that we could enjoy and experience even more of his country.
We highly recommend Gems of Africa and Janine for their efficiency, communication and professionalism. Thank you Janine.

From start to finish: luxury and attention to detail
The two lodges that Gems of Africa Safari and Tours arranged for us were fantastic. The staff were wonderful and attentive. We had the same game driver each time - who was extremely knowledgeable and very nice. Everyone we met went the extra mile to attend to us. The lodges were clean, well maintained and luxurious + air conditioned. We can't thank Janine and the team at Gems of Africa enough for arranging every component of our African adventure from start to finish (including flights and transfers). Thank you!

We spent great time in South Africa and really have excelent experience with our tour organizer!
We booked our safari tour in Pillanesberg national park with Gems of Africa Safari & Tours. We worked with Janine. Janine organise our tailored three days package. Package includes lodging, safaries, lion park and trasfer from airport and back to Johannesburg. From the first communication to the final result the experience was superb. It was so easy to communicate with her. She was very responsive and helpfull. We had a lot of questions because it was our first visit to South Africa. We had a minor issue at lion park. We called Janine even though it was Sunday, and she immediately settled the matter. We definitely recommend Janine to everyone who is planning to visit South Africa.

10/10, Amazing Experience I will never forget!
The driver who picked us up was incredibly knowledgable and gave an amazing start even prior to entering the park. I was given vast knowledge about the area, the animals, and the experience that fueled my imagination.
Entering the lodge, it was like straight out of a dream. Very friendly staff, rooms that are air conditioned, and within view to giraffes, warthogs, baboons, and elephants that would be in the vicinity (but never enter the grounds).
The safari drives themselves were incredible. Every driver had a vast amount of knowledge on every bit of animals and flora we saw. Within the first drive I saw all the animals that I came to see, and pretty close!
By the end of the trip I was already planning on returning!
Thank you Janine who made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. 10/10 would return again.

Great company
We booked our safari tour with Gems of Africa Safari & Tours. We worked with Janine. From the first communication to the final result the experience was superb. Janine was able to find us a great price for the lodge in the Pilanesberg National Park. She helped us to book the transfer from the airport on the first day and a return transfer plus tour on the last day. It was so easy to communicate with her. Of course, we had a lot of questions/concern because it was our first visit to South Africa. Janine always provided us detailed answers, and she responded to all emails right away. She provided us all the details for our travel. When we arrived, everything went without any problems. The driver met us at the airport, the lodge was ready for our arrival. The return transfer went as promised as well. We are more than happy with our experience with Gems of Africa Safari & Tours and with Janine. Fantastic safari experience for family with young children!
We are a big family traveling with 6 young children. We were concerned about finding a good fit for our safari. With Janine’s help, we were able to find the perfect safari for our family! The children had a wonderful time, as did we adults! We loved the food, the lodge and the safari drives! Everything went smoothly, and the people we met and worked with were fantastic!
