Great Tour with Charlie
I booked a 6 day Safari Solo with Mufasa and my guide was Charlie.
Lewis, was the one who contacted me first after I inquired about the Safari. Easy to deal with and always ready to answer queries.
I did a lot of research when choosing which tour should I go to. I am thankful and did not regret booking with them.
Charlie was my guide. He was amazing. His knowledge about the places and animal were admirable. He know how to spot animals. And also his amazing driving skills.
The tour was beyond my expectations from food and accommodation. I was really impress with the lodge and the food. Can’t complain about that.
The only bad part I experienced was visiting the Maasai Community. It is optional since I love to learn about the culture I said yes.
First was the fee. It says $20/person. But when I got there they asked me for $40 since I am alone. I think you need to put that on your quotation next time. Then after the Maasai warrior dance they told me about their way of life, history , practices etc. Second, which really irked me off is that after they let me in to one of their house the Leader Sam told me to give gift to the family. Huh? I thought the $40 I gave covers everything already. So I gave money 500 KES . Then Sam told me it should be 1000 KES. Now I am upset. Then they offered me stuff to buy and let the women of Maasai sing I said no need. And politely said I have to go. That was not I was expecting. I don’t blame the Mustafa or my guide on this. I think something must be done in here or else they would slowly lose people visiting their village. Just skipped this if I were you. I read almost same experience with other travelers
Overall , The Safari Experience is amazing. Cheers and High Five to Charlie!

An unforgettable safari experience
The two of us had a private 5 day safari with Mufasa in early February: 1 day in Nakuru, 1 day in Naivasha, 3 days in Masai Mara. Everything was great from start to finish and we'd definitely recommend booking your safari with Mufasa (feel free to email me for any questions). Given the number of scams out there, we were extremely careful/sceptical when we were choosing our tour operator, but reading this many good reviews and chatting with Lewis on whatsapp before the trip convinced us Mufasa is a good option. Lewis was responsive and answered all of our questions quickly. More importantly, our guide James was very friendly and overall amazing throughout the trip. He was always open to adjustments to the plan, happy to answer questions, and taught us a lot about nature, animals, the job of a guide and Kenya. He also helped us in various situations outside of just guiding and driving, and we felt like we had a friend along the way. In Mara we were a bit unlucky (heavy rains a few days before closed off many good roads in the park) so we didn't get to officially see "the big 5" (missed the leopard), but that's overrated anyways. We still saw many beautiful animals and a lot of beautiful nature, and the whole experience of "hunting" the animals around the parks was mind blowing. Sometimes there were hours with no major sightings (partly because of the rains, partly the nature of safari) but we always felt like James tried his best to find interesting things. All accommodation was good and matched the itinerary (Eagle Palace, Panorama Park, Enkorok). Some random tips: buy and bring large binoculars - it's definitely worth it, do Nakuru->Naivasha->Mara as it just gets better (and the other way around will be underwhelming), think about investing in a private safari as the group ones we saw felt very uncomfortable and crowded (and you are in that vehicle all day every day). Overall, we find Mufasa to be one of the cheapest budget options that still has everything you need to feel comfortable and have a good time, and we'll definitely book with them again the next time.

Couldn't recommend more!
We booked a 9-day safari with Mufasa Tours and I would highly recommend. Very reasonably priced with no compromise in quality. The guides (especially Tony) were so great to spend the week with and the overall customer service was amazing. We loved the places we stayed and were very happy we were able to customize our trip to exactly how we wanted it.

Excellent experience and customer service
We had a wonderful time on our safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Lewis was wonderful and so accommodating during the planning stages. He put together a personalized itinerary that fit my party's needs perfectly, despite my request for several last-minute changes. The safari itself was great. Nelson, our driver, was so kind and accommodating. He worked hard to locate all of the animals in the park--we ended up seeing all of the Big 5! The lodging was as expected. I would highly recommend Mufasa Tours to others.

Wonderful experience, skilled driver, beautiful nature and animal adventure!
Joseph was very accommodating with our ever changing schedule. My driver/guide, Ohdis, was very knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. He has hawk eyes to find animals and afford you the time you want to enjoy yourself. To watch elephants, giraffes, zebras, etc. cross just feet in front of you was breathtaking. The wildebeest migration was a sight to see. You have to see it to believe it. And the big cats, ... go see for yourself! Wow! Also, Ohdis followed covid protection guidelines, without hindering the experience. The accommodations were part of the experience and were unique and comfortable. I enjoyed the tent experience, and lodges where wild life was visible from the room. Food was also very good! I highly recommend Mufasa and would book them again! Thanks for an u forgettable experience.

Excellent safari
Excellent communications, Mufasa Tours and Travels was very responsive in answering all my questions and addressing my requests. The safari itself was wonderful and my guide Mahmud worked hard to make sure that we saw a large variety of animals.

Amazing experience, great staff
I booked a last minute safari to Masaai Mara with Mufasa for myself and my two friends. In the overwhelming process of getting quotes from various companies, working with Mufasa was very easy. All of my questions were answered and the Mufasa team was very professional and helpful. We joined another group for a Friday-Sunday safari and the price was fair. We met with the group in downtown Nairobi and were on our way. We stopped at a viewpoint and later for lunch along the way. When we arrived, we checked into our accommodation (which we really enjoyed - Lenchada Camp), and went out for an evening game drive. Our driver/guide, Joshua, was super friendly and extremely knowledgable. We woke up early the next day and went for a full day game drive. We went deep into Masaai Mara, all the way to the Tanzania border. Joshua saw things I never would have seen and we saw everything I was hoping to see. We really wanted to see the migration, but knew that because it was late in the season that we might not. When we got to the river, there was a heard, but they did not end up crossing. We were disappointed, but we cannot control nature. However, after lunch we were driving and all of a sudden Joshua saw something and then started driving fast - he saw something happening and we sped to a different river and caught the end of a migration through sand river - it was amazing and all thanks to our amazing guide, Joshua. The next day we went on another morning game drive before heading back to Nairobi. It was an incredible experience and I can't recommend Mufasa tours enough. I will also say that we took their jeep/land cruise and it was really nice and comfortable.

Safety - Security
6 Day Safari. Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Maasai mara. The Safari was amazing! I saw all the wildlife I wanted to see. My tour guide, Kevin Gichuki is very knowledgable about all the animals/birds. Lions, elephants, gazelles, hippopotamus, monkeys, baboons, wildebeest, secretary birds... The list goes on and on. The landscape was awesome! Mount Kilimanjaro, The mountains at lake Nakuru, and the grasslands at Maasai mara were so beautiful. The Maasai mara village tribe, Danced for me and gave me a blessing for my safe travels, and return to Kenya. The Village Chief put his WhatsApp info in my phone so I can text him next time I come. Kevin made sure I was safe while we traveled. If I needed cash at the ATM, Kevin would only take me to safe/secure places. My safety was his priority. The temperature in October was perfect. It was cool in the morning and nice all day. I wore shorts the entire time and had a light coat. Make sure you have at least 20,000 shillings cash for fridge magnets, bracelets, and souvenirs at each location. ($200US)
If African Safari is on your bucket list, or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, or camping, swimming, hot air ballon safari, hiking... contact Mufasa tours and travels. Ask for Kevin Gichuki to be your tour guide.
