Once in a lifetime dream come true.
While traveling in Kenya my wife and I were given the opportunity to do a safari in Masai Mara. We came across Mufasa tours online and I am very glad we did.
Booking and planning online was very convenient. Coming from America we were able to use WhatsApp to communicate and Joseph, who we talked with, was very attentive and thorough.
Our guide Julius made a once and a lifetime experience even more memorable. He picked us up in Nairobi and drove us to the Mara. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, made the trip down part of our experience learning about Kenya. Loved to share his passion for wildlife and his country. With around 30 years experience, I don’t know if we could have found anyone better suited to guide us.
Once arriving at the Mara we had a limited amount of time but a very long list of what we wanted to see… a tall order. Julius went out of his way to make sure we got to experience everything we had hoped for. I even mentioned in conversation wanting to try traditional Kenyan food and at our last night at the camp I was surprised with some ugali at dinner. Julius had mentioned to the kitchen staff our previous conversation and made sure I got what I had wanted.
We feel very fortunate to have had this experience and are thankful to everyone at Mufasa for helping plan this. If you are traveling from abroad and planning safari trips in Kenya you can feel confident in using Mufasa, they are very attentive and user friendly. And do yourself a favor and request Julius if he is available.

The best safari experience we could ever wish for
Right from the start the communication with Mufasa was highly professional and transparent. Polly was very responsive, always answered our questions immediately and with all needed details. Several tailored options were provided regarding the exact tour, accomodations and additional activities during the safari. All the lodges and camps booked for us were great. Very clean, safe, great locations and with good food. We felt safe and in good hands from the start!
The safari itself was a breathtaking experience that exceeded all our expectations! Especially our guide Dan was incredible and made this experience so very special. He is not only an absolute expert regarding wildlife, which he explains in unparalleled detail, but also knew absolutely everything about Kenya, its culture and people. Dan always went the extra mile to ensure we have the best time possible and filled our days with smiles and laughters. His extensive safari experience of 20+ years is invaluable as he knows all parks, how to move around and where to spot the most interesting animals. Dan as a guide really makes the difference - we would go on Safari with him anytime again. He is the best guide we could have imagined!
We would strongly recommend to go on Safari with Mufasa as they provide a personal and outstanding experience!

Great trip and safari provider!
Our trip with Mufasa was amazing!
Communication and planning: Communication and planning with Polly was easy and effortless. She answered quickly and was very accommodating in every way. Polly and our driver met us at the airport, and took great care of us.
We even got a reusable water bottle from them as a gift - a nice little gesture.
The company is very professional and honest, so I really do recommend them! They are well organized and always on time.
Accommodation in Masai Mara: We stayed at Loyk Mara. The service and food was excellent. The tents are very luxurious and clean, and there are no bugs inside the tents. They have hot running water, great wifi and electricity 24/7. At night they even but a heating bottle in our bed - and it was the most comfortable and luxurious feeling! They did all these extra services that made you feel very at ease and relaxed.
The camp lies in the open wilderness with no fences, so you will hear and see animals during day and night. After sundown, the local masai accompany you if you go outside from your tent. The camp has a beautiful pool and very scenic surroundings.
When we arrived after a long drive from Nairobi, we did not want to drive out for a short game drive. The camp offered us a complementary walking safari on the savannah outside the camp. Three Masai's took us around, showing is footprints and animals. That was really amazing, and one of our favorite memories! We saw giraffes, hyenas and many other animals in really close proximity.
The camp is located a bit "further out" from the areas where there are a lot of camps near each other (for example around Talek og Mara Simba), but I would say it is worth the extra hour of driving without a doubt!!
We did not know that the camp was a bit far away, and when looking on Google Maps it is located very to by the other camps, but driving just 1 KM takes much longer time than what you would expect (due to the roads etc.). That's good to keep in mind when roaming around in Masai Mara.
Driver: Our driver Tony was a nice and calm guy. He drove really well to and from Nairobi, and we never felt scared in the traffic. During the game drives in Masai Mara, he did his best to find animals and he was very successful at it. We saw some really amazing things! Including a heard of 20 lions relaxing together and 3 leopards! Quite the rare experience. He also know the Masai Mara by heart, and drove well there.
He is not the most talkative person, but if you ask him questions, he is knowledgeable and very friendly.
He also made every breakfast and lunch very memorable and peaceful! We ate out in the wilderness to beautiful views and surroundings.
Car: We had the Toyota landcruiser, and I really recommend you have that car. Driving off road (like you do in the Masai Mara) is quite the experience, and no car is better than the landcruiser for this type of driving!
The only issues were that not all the seat belts were working, and the windows were a bit difficult to open. It was ok though, as we were only two persons.

Trip of a lifetime!!
Mufasa put together a safari that far exceeded our expectations. Our guide Nelson is amazing and now considered a friend. Every day we were blown away with an experience that was unexpected, from walking with the giraffes at crescent island to the 5 star treatment at each and every camp. I recommend Mufasa tours and specifically Nelson as a guide. You won’t be disappointed! We will be back!

First Best Safari in Nairobi NP
I joined a private tour in Nairobi National Park. It was such a nice experience as I saw lots of wild animals, including eight lions, some of which were trying to hunt a buffalo, a black rhino, giraffes, a variety of antelope, and ostriches in just about three hours. The guide, Erick, did his best to search for the animals I wanted to see, and he had a very good knowledge of animals. I personally feel I was very lucky to have encountered such various types of animals, but I would recommend that you would go on a game drive very early in the morning, like the tour I attended, to see the active wild animals. The communication with the MUFASA, Polly, was so smooth and I had no issues or stress with her communication. She was always very responsive and answered my questions. Overall, I was very, very satisfied with the tour and rated it 5 stars.

Professional and reliable
We had a great experience in Kenya with Mufasa. The tour was very well organized, communication was smooth, Joel took all our requests into consideration to plan the perfect tour for us and he assisted us in case of any problems. Our guide during the safari, Tony, was amazing! Always smiling, professional, helpful, and willing to share his knowledge with us. The lodges were good: food was nice, people were welcoming, and the place was clean. Thank you mufasa!

Spirit of Africa in 10 days - great Tourguide (Collin) - Big Five - great countryside
It was a great experience. The organisation via email was uncomplicated and the Joseph the manager answered within one day. We visited 4 different Nationalparks and our Tour Guide Collin was very friendly, helpful and experienced. He was able to manage the Big Five. He had knowledge about history of Kenia and about the wildlife. Massive Mara is the most impressive what we ever have seen so far Nakuru and Amboseli were also very nice. Naivasha is to be honest not necessary but as a stop over ok.
Be aware that the travel from Amboseli to Diani Beach is really long so if we will book again we will scratch the last 2 days Diani Beach.

Dream Safari
The service, reliability, value for money was better than we ever expected. I travelled with my 77 year old grandmother and my 22 year old brother. We had the best time in a 4-day safari. The service was amazing since the beginning until the end. Johnson, our tour guide, is the best one out there, you should ask for him! In the car, in the camps, in the game drives and at all times we were looked after. We had the best time and we would definitely like to come back and will go with the same tour guide company!

Five Star Plus: Beyond Amazing Experience
After doing a ton of research on Safari companies, we were deciding between Mufasa and one other company and after reading the reviews we went with Mufasa and it was the BEST decision we made. Joel was extremely responsive from the moment of inquiry and consistently kept in touch to make sure we were all set. I bothered him for many options and he just always came back with options in a very short time. We booked the deluxe tent with the Sarova Mara and it was was just FANTASTIC. We typically stay at Fairmont hotels so didn't know what to expect and to be honest I was a little skeptical but the Sarova Mara camp was hands down the best experience we've ever had. From the tents to the amazing staff. From outside of our tent we could see elephants grazing. It was incredible. The staff there is truly top notch! And our driver Charles was so knowledgeable and just an absolute joy. Our kids were so sad to leave him after the 4 days together and we were too! If there were 6 stars to give that's what I would give to Mufasa. I can't sing enough praises for them. Awesome doesn't quite capture how beyond phenomenal our experience was with Mufasa. You honestly can't go wrong!
