Excellent company from start to finish
This company was just outstanding from beginning to end. Joseph was quick to respond and accommodating to our requests. He gave excellent ideas why we have taken.
The accommodations this company arranged was absolutely outstanding.
Our guide/ driver Moses was exceptional in every way. He is knowledgeable of the parks we visited, very flexible on what we do and has a great understanding of the wildlife and their behaviour. Moses really made our trip and gave us so many great memories.
Thank you for an unforgettable experience, keep on the good work!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
If I had to summarize this trip in two words it would be ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
Every aspect was absolutely amazing. The game reservation Maasai Mara, the lodge, the staff, the organization and quick responses of Polly and of course our awesome guide/driver Daniel.
Finding a fitting Safari was not easy. We were a group of 6. Four Adults and two 11-year-old boys. One of the adults is a nature photographer, so we needed to find a good combination that gave the photographer plenty of time get all of her perfect shots without the rest of us getting bored. We nailed it.
There are so many different Safari Operators to choose from. We decided to go with Mufasa Tours because for one the reviews were great and because Polly was so great in helping us plan our trip. She suggested the Tipilikwana Mara Camp which was a perfect match for us. It was pure luxury. We got so spoiled. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating and the food was delicious. We were told to watch what we eat when we left home “Boil it, peal it or leave it”. After being careful the first day, we were convinced that everything is carefully prepared and ate everything even the salad. Nobody in our group had any problems.
Our guide/driver Daniel was the bomb! He picked us up in Nairobi with a comfortable 4x4 Landcruiser with a pop-up roof and drove us to the Camp. A six-hour drive with a few stops to stretch. Daniel is extremely knowledgeable and funny. He explained so much on the way to the camp and answered all of our question, which were plenty

Best tour operator! (:
We (2) booked a tour through Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
We were incredibly happy with both guides. They were very knowledgeable about the animals and areas but also beyond that it was very insightful to talk to them. Also, both were splendid drivers and it's obvious that they have a lot of experience. But most importantly, both were very forthcoming, kind and fun to spend time with. I would 100% recommend them both to anyone!
Furthermore, the lodges were amazing and we had a great time in each of them. Very polite staff, clean rooms, good food, ...
Also a big thank you to Joseph for the great organization, communication and coordination during the planning process! Highly appreciated.
Would always choose Mufasa again (:

Amazing Safari
We had multiple safari's booked with Mufasa. Polly was very quick to respond and answered all of our many questions. She even arranged to meet us for final payment once we arrived in Nairobi. Our driver Joseph was amazing, he had such vast knowledge of the parks and animal's we saw. He spoke great english and was always early, cleaning the windows and making sure the vehicle was ready for us. He always ,made sure we had plenty of water to drink as well. I will absolutely be using Mufasa tours in the future.

Big Five in 5 Days - Tsavo E. + W. and Amboseli with Collin
Mufasa Tours organised a 5 day safari for us in a 4x4 minivan through Amboseli and Tsavo West and East. From the first contact with Pauline until the end everything worked very well and the hotels we chose surprised us positively.
If you do a tour with Mufasa, ask for Collin as your guide. What we experienced with him was simply incredible. Thanks to him we were able to see the Big 5, two kills in one day and several big tusked elephants in a short time.
You can tell that he has a lot of experience, which we benefited from during the safaris. He always positioned the car perfectly so that we could see and photograph the animals optimally and anticipated how the animals behaved.
Added to this is his immense knowledge of flora and fauna as well as the history and culture of Kenya.
With his positive manner, reliability and connection to nature, he made our safari an unforgettable experience and exceeded our expectations by far.
Thank you Collin, thank you Mufasa Tours, we would definitely recommend you.

They greated us at the airport and made sure we were settled at our hotel for the 1st night before setting off on safari the next day.
Nelson our driver was out-of this world and always went that extra mile for us. He not only was our tour guide but also became a very special friend.
Fun, full of beans and always putting the brightest smile

Incredible experience with a 5* tour operator!
A wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience, organised and led by a very professional, reliable and well-run team - Mufasa Travels! We are so pleased with how everything went with Mufasa and couldn't recommend it highly enough. I'll try to outline some of our experience in the hope it helps others.
Communication with Joseph:
We started planning our safari dream holiday 9 months before flying out. We emailed around 10 different suppliers and eventually decided upon Mufasa for several different reasons.
Most of it came down to the communication we had with Joseph via email. From the very first email, he was prompt, polite and extremely helpful with his responses, information and suggestions. Some other operators were also good in this regard, but it felt as though Joseph always went out of his was to make us feel comfortable and gave us personal suggestions on how to make our trip the honeymoon of a lifetime. Very importantly, it never felt like he was trying to over-sell us anything - it was all very much about me and my wife and what we wanted - he was happy to just assist! He was also very patient, as I think I ended up sending him about 100+ emails over the course of 6 months! Each one replied to with an articulate and thorough response.
Joseph really is a credit to Mufasa team and he is the reason we ended up choosing Mufasa and planning what ended up being such a wonderful safari together.
We went for a private tour which we highly recommend if your budget permits. You can take your time, are never rushed, can decide what animals to focus on, can decide how long to stay at any given spot etc etc. It just gives you so much flexibility. We also went for a luxury option with all three of our camps being top quality accommodation. At two of them we even had our own butler!
Masai Mara:
What a wonderful Park this is. Being our first safari, our objective was to see the Big 5. We ended up seeing that and much much more! Our guide Julius was excellent. He is extremely experienced and has being around the Masai Mara (and other parks) for most of his life - even his father was a guide! He was attentive, funny and knowledgeable and we recommend him highly! Everything went smoothly and it felt like he was always one step ahead in the planning.
The only thing we would note is that on the last day we had a bit of a hiccup and weren't provided with the required packed lunch from Masai Mara, when handed over to the Tanzania side - so we went a bit hungry! Other than that, everything was perfect!
We also decided on a hot air balloon ride over the savannah for sunrise on one day, followed by a breakfast out in the open plains. We highly recommend this if it is in your budget - one of the best things we've ever done! Also a special shout out to out driver for this (Pesi) who during the game drive back to our lodge managed to show us a Leopard for the first time!
Serengeti and Ngorongoro:
As we had seen the Big 5 in Kenya, we wanted to match that in Tanzania but also wanted to focus on big cats as well. Therefore, our guide (named Saidi), had a big task ahead of him! In short, Saidi delivered everything and more! He was amazing! We saw the Big 5 but also our request to focus on the big cats led to us seeing dozens of lions (hunting, courting, in trees, sleeping etc), 7 Cheetahs (3 different sightings, one of which they were hunting), and several Leopards. We also saw some smaller rarer cats like the Caracal and a Serval twice! It couldn't have gone better.
Saidi was deeply knowledgeable and was able to immediately answer all of our questions with ease. On top of that he made sure to point out everything he could and taught us so much about the endless plains of the Serengeti. What we loved most about him was that he used his radio so effectively. Communicating with other guides to find specifically what we were looking for every time, it was great! If you go to the Serengeti/Ngorongoro - be sure to ask for Saidi!
Accommodation:
In Masai Mara we stayed at Neptune Mara and it was incredible. The lodge overlooks a river where we saw giraffes, hippos, gazelle, crocodiles, zebras and baboons - all while having breakfast!
In Serengeti we stayed at Kubukubu Lodge which was great. There is an amazing view over the savannah and an awesome outdoor hot shower!
In Ngorongoro we stayed at Acacia Farm Lodge. This place is wonderful and very sustainable as it makes use of the farmland to produce its own foods! The staff also organised a wonderful surprise romantic dinner with a bonfire for us!
Overall:
Long review (sorry!), but to sum it up, it was the experience of a lifetime and we could not have had that without Mufasa Travels, Joseph, Julius and Saidi. Communication was very prompt and thorough throughout all of our planning, we were given countless ideas and suggestions, there was also a lot of flexibility to do exactly what we wanted, and the delivery from the guides was pretty much flawless!
We highly recommend Mufasa Travels, Joseph, Julius and Saidi!

Excellent service from all including Polly Makena to the perfect treatment from Guide Collin Semple
My tour of 3 nights/4 days to Amboseli Nat'l Park was enjoyable considering the extremely dry conditions due to no rains for almost one year in that region. The guide who picked me up in Nairobi, Collin Sempele was excellent in every way. I have been visiting Africa for 8 years as a professional wildlife photographer and was impressed with Collin's guiding and in particular his understanding that I have a spinal condition that cannot tolerate the typical pounding of bad roads. He went out of his way to avoid bad sections of roads!
Polly Makena was the perfect customer service person! She responded to every question I had via emails or text messages without fail.
I will return to Kenya in the future and certainly use Mufasa Tours as needed.

IT FELT LIKE HOME!
My safari experience with Mufasa Tours and Travel was my best travel experience to date. I have been to 30 countries and nothing can compare to being home in The Motherland. Polly did an amazing job with my safari planning and ensured that everything logistically went well. She has far exceeded my expectations.
I did the 2 Day Masai Mara Safari with this company and managed to see all of the animals that I desired to see. Hosea was my tour guide and he was the absolute best! His personality, knowledge, awareness, and sense of humor made my experience fun and safe.
I stayed at the Zebra Plains Boutique Tented Camp and it was nothing short of amazing from the time I checked in to my departure.
I am forever grateful for Mufasa Tours and looking forward to planning future safari experiences with them.

Excellent experience in Kenya!
We spent 6 days and 5 nights with our guide Peter travelling between Samburu, Nakuru and Masai Mara and it was an incredible experience!
First of all, communication with Joel was very easy and he replied to all our doubts very quickly. We had to change some accomodation due to some issues but the ones finally selected met our expectations by far, great places into the nature. Big rooms, swimming pools, super friendly staff and being able to see animals in the wild from our terrace.
The planning was good and we would not change it, we think it was appropriate for a first experience in a safari.
Peter was an excellent guide, he tried his best everyday so as we could see as many animals as possible and we did see them indeed, big five and much more! He was flexible with timetables, we saw sunsets, sunrises, masai village and many many animals.
Definitely a great option, Mufasa Tours and Travels won't disappoint you!
