Excellent safari
Excellent communications, Mufasa Tours and Travels was very responsive in answering all my questions and addressing my requests. The safari itself was wonderful and my guide Mahmud worked hard to make sure that we saw a large variety of animals.

Wonderful experience, skilled driver, beautiful nature and animal adventure!
Joseph was very accommodating with our ever changing schedule. My driver/guide, Ohdis, was very knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. He has hawk eyes to find animals and afford you the time you want to enjoy yourself. To watch elephants, giraffes, zebras, etc. cross just feet in front of you was breathtaking. The wildebeest migration was a sight to see. You have to see it to believe it. And the big cats, ... go see for yourself! Wow! Also, Ohdis followed covid protection guidelines, without hindering the experience. The accommodations were part of the experience and were unique and comfortable. I enjoyed the tent experience, and lodges where wild life was visible from the room. Food was also very good! I highly recommend Mufasa and would book them again! Thanks for an u forgettable experience.

We had Kevin Gichuki as our driver and he is just the most patient, kindest and good hearted person.
I think the response was quick and very polite. I always appreciate kind responses.. I will travel with them again and request Kevin Gichuki again.

Great experience
We spent a 7-day safari with Mufasa including Maasaï Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Tsavo West. The safari itself was great and we could see many species of animals, as well as a wide variety of landscapes as expected. The communication with Mufasa before arrival was okay and our contact Lewis gave all the needed information and answers.
Our guide Joe has shown very good driving skills and a valuable knowledge about wild life. We could benefit a lot from his experience during the whole journey.
We recommend Mufasa which is a Professional and reliable company to organize a safari in Kenya.
Unfortunately we had booked a 8-day safari and were forced by the ambassy to come back home one day earlier due to COVID-19 . As a consequence, we had to spend one night in Nairobi instead of Tsavo East. We really want to thank Joe who kindly provided assistance to book a room near the airport and to find maks and gloves before our departure. 4-star overall rating since we would have appreciated this night to be supported by Mufasa as we had booked for 8 days and that anyway the last day would be lost...
Despite this unfortunate timing, we were glad to do this safari and would like to point out here the quality of the service at a very competitive price.

Excellent experience and customer service
We had a wonderful time on our safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Lewis was wonderful and so accommodating during the planning stages. He put together a personalized itinerary that fit my party's needs perfectly, despite my request for several last-minute changes. The safari itself was great. Nelson, our driver, was so kind and accommodating. He worked hard to locate all of the animals in the park--we ended up seeing all of the Big 5! The lodging was as expected. I would highly recommend Mufasa Tours to others.

Couldn't recommend more!
We booked a 9-day safari with Mufasa Tours and I would highly recommend. Very reasonably priced with no compromise in quality. The guides (especially Tony) were so great to spend the week with and the overall customer service was amazing. We loved the places we stayed and were very happy we were able to customize our trip to exactly how we wanted it.

An unforgettable safari experience
The two of us had a private 5 day safari with Mufasa in early February: 1 day in Nakuru, 1 day in Naivasha, 3 days in Masai Mara. Everything was great from start to finish and we'd definitely recommend booking your safari with Mufasa (feel free to email me for any questions). Given the number of scams out there, we were extremely careful/sceptical when we were choosing our tour operator, but reading this many good reviews and chatting with Lewis on whatsapp before the trip convinced us Mufasa is a good option. Lewis was responsive and answered all of our questions quickly. More importantly, our guide James was very friendly and overall amazing throughout the trip. He was always open to adjustments to the plan, happy to answer questions, and taught us a lot about nature, animals, the job of a guide and Kenya. He also helped us in various situations outside of just guiding and driving, and we felt like we had a friend along the way. In Mara we were a bit unlucky (heavy rains a few days before closed off many good roads in the park) so we didn't get to officially see "the big 5" (missed the leopard), but that's overrated anyways. We still saw many beautiful animals and a lot of beautiful nature, and the whole experience of "hunting" the animals around the parks was mind blowing. Sometimes there were hours with no major sightings (partly because of the rains, partly the nature of safari) but we always felt like James tried his best to find interesting things. All accommodation was good and matched the itinerary (Eagle Palace, Panorama Park, Enkorok). Some random tips: buy and bring large binoculars - it's definitely worth it, do Nakuru->Naivasha->Mara as it just gets better (and the other way around will be underwhelming), think about investing in a private safari as the group ones we saw felt very uncomfortable and crowded (and you are in that vehicle all day every day). Overall, we find Mufasa to be one of the cheapest budget options that still has everything you need to feel comfortable and have a good time, and we'll definitely book with them again the next time.

Great Tour with Charlie
I booked a 6 day Safari Solo with Mufasa and my guide was Charlie.
Lewis, was the one who contacted me first after I inquired about the Safari. Easy to deal with and always ready to answer queries.
I did a lot of research when choosing which tour should I go to. I am thankful and did not regret booking with them.
Charlie was my guide. He was amazing. His knowledge about the places and animal were admirable. He know how to spot animals. And also his amazing driving skills.
The tour was beyond my expectations from food and accommodation. I was really impress with the lodge and the food. Can’t complain about that.
The only bad part I experienced was visiting the Maasai Community. It is optional since I love to learn about the culture I said yes.
First was the fee. It says $20/person. But when I got there they asked me for $40 since I am alone. I think you need to put that on your quotation next time. Then after the Maasai warrior dance they told me about their way of life, history , practices etc. Second, which really irked me off is that after they let me in to one of their house the Leader Sam told me to give gift to the family. Huh? I thought the $40 I gave covers everything already. So I gave money 500 KES . Then Sam told me it should be 1000 KES. Now I am upset. Then they offered me stuff to buy and let the women of Maasai sing I said no need. And politely said I have to go. That was not I was expecting. I don’t blame the Mustafa or my guide on this. I think something must be done in here or else they would slowly lose people visiting their village. Just skipped this if I were you. I read almost same experience with other travelers
Overall , The Safari Experience is amazing. Cheers and High Five to Charlie!

A day to remember
Unfortunately the night before the one day safari it rained cats and dogs. But that did not stop us from going and our guide Nelson made this a day to remember. A part from being the different animals the muddy condition of the road became a spectacle on its own. 4 wheel drives getting stuck in the mud, sliding and slipping ... what a joyride.
Nelson tried everything to show us the lions and in spite he knew where they were, we could not reach the spot ... but Nelson made up with his great humor, friendliness and spirit.
I will most certainly contact them again for future safaris
