A wonderful and unforgettable experience!
So glad that we chose Mufasa Tours and Travel for our Safari visiting Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and were not disappointed. Polly and Maryanne took care of our bookings and the admin side of things and everything was delivered as promised.
Our guide was COLIN who was with us for the whole trip and his expertise and professionalism made our experience unforgettable. He is truly a dedicated guide who is passionate and knowledgeable about his work. How Colin knew where all these animals were and where go so they will be just outside our Land Cruiser was amazing. We took some beautiful photos and Colin patently moved the Land Cruiser around so we can capture pictures at optimal angles.
Asante sana to Colin and the Mufasa Team!

Amazing Safari
We had an amazing experience.
Hosea was the best guide imaginable! He went the extra mile to give us the best views and was extremely friendly and commited.
Zebra Plains Rivercamp was an excellent accommodation.
Great services rendered by all members of the Mufasa staff and very smooth communication.
All in all our expectations were surpassed and we can highly recommend Mufasa!

Fantastic service from beginning to end!
Couldnt recommend Mufasa tour highly enough. We just had a fantastic time doing 5 days safari tour, and everything was exceeding expectation.
We booked quite far in advance for our honey moon and everything was communicated clearly throughout.
Our guide Joseph is very kind, knowledgable and go above and beyond to ensure we make most of our time in the safari. We manage to see all the big five and more so couldnt be happier.
The camp recommendation was great, my wife and I was over the moon with it. Will definitely use Musafa again should we visit more safari in the future

Seamless except our daughter did bookings for us and that caused confusion at some resorts.
Our driver Daniel Muntet for our Safari was the Best. Knowledgeable, courteous, personable. Really knew how to navigate the game reserve trails. Really can’t say enough about Daniel. Punctual, polite , wonderful person. Great sense of humour.
Strongly recommend Daniel as your tour guide to get the best adventure.

Absolutely incredible and would recommend
I booked with Mufasa tours and did a custom trip going to hells gate, Crescent Island and the Masai Mara.
I would absolutely recommend Mufasa tours for a few reasons. Their communication is next level and Caroline who is the main contact is exceptional. She is very responsive and will help in anyway she can, she is very accessible. She created a custom tour for me at a reasonable price. The lodges I stayed at were incredible ( I highly recommend Zebra plains if offered, it is stunning). The jeep was in excellent condition and there was plenty of water.
My guide Moses was excellent and did his best to spot animals. He was a joy to spend three days with.
This company is clearly well experienced, is reputable, has an actual office, is responsive and available and I felt safe travelling as a solo female.
My family is planning a Safari in 2025 and I will be recommending them to book with and plan a luxury tour.
No concerns and no negative comments

The best choice we made and never regreted!
The best tour ever! Could not believe that it is possible to travel 2 weeks in safari and see new things every single day: all the time new animals. we saw all of them!!!
Rangers sometimes helped as team members as well as other tour operators- they are all one team!
We got lovely presents to remind us of the journey!
We were laughing all the time with our driver! We demanded him to dine have lunch and breakfast with us as it was not possible to stay without him. We needed to talk and plan and listen to his stories.
Never in my life We thought it could be so entertaining!
our driver/ guide was wonderful!!! He surprised us everyday!
A lot of fun!!!

A review that could have been very different
Taking a safari with Mufasa Tours and Travels was, for the most part, a good experience. We are frequently safari goers and based on the ratings we'd seen, there were high expectations in our minds. The incredible wildlife, wonderful accommodations, and having a dedicated guide, Nelson, contributed to many memorable moments. However, our encounter with the company's refund policy left us with mixed feelings about our overall journey.
The Positives:
Our safari with Mufasa Tours and Travels initially promised an exclusive and flexible adventure, and in many aspects, it delivered. The personalized game drives facilitated by Nelson were informative and tailored to our preferences. The company's commitment to providing an exclusive vehicle and guide allowed us to immerse ourselves fully into bush therapy. Caroline, who coordinated our bookings, demonstrated prompt and professional communication when addressing our concerns, and made the entire booking a pleasant experience. Nelson was a good guide and ensured we had the best sightings based on what he heard over the radio.
The Disappointment:
We had opted for a 4x4 Land Cruiser instead of a Minivan for more comfort. However, the vehicle we received was probably one of the older ones if not the oldest. It was quite different from what is advertised on their YouTube video. The vehicle was rickety, glass windows used to vibrate vigorously during the drives and the pop-up roof had rust and loose metal shreds which can be a big risk. When we reached the Mara from Nairobi, the backdoor got jammed and it took hours to retrieve our bags and other luggage (which included baby food!!). For a company of good reputation, it is imperative that vehicles are kept spic and span and regularly maintained.
From the reviews we read online, we had requested for Nelson to be our good. While he was good in several aspects such as stopping when we ask or changing the angle when photographing, one thing we did not appreciate was that he used to be on the phone all the time. Instead of giving us some insights about the animals we see (simple things such as what pride of lions is this, how big it is, etc.), it felt more like a race from one sighting to the other. Even though we are bird lovers, most of them we had to ask him to stop otherwise he would just drive past without even looking.
Additionally ... our journey regrettably took an unexpected turn when our baby fell ill, forcing us to cut our safari short. Upon inquiring about a partial refund due to the unforeseen circumstances, we encountered a rigid adherence to the company's no-refund policy for last-minute changes. While we understand and respect the importance of policy adherence, we had hoped for more flexibility and understanding given the exceptional nature of our situation.
Conclusion:
Our overall experience with Mufasa Tours and Travels was a tale of two halves. The wildlife and photographic opportunities made the safari portion truly memorable. However, the disappointment stemming from the company's inflexible refund policy has left us contemplating our future travel choices. While the company provides an undoubtedly unique and exclusive safari experience, potential travelers should be mindful of the company's strict policies, especially in unforeseen circumstances. As we reflect on our safari with mixed emotions, we may consider alternative options for our future adventures, seeking a balance between policy adherence and customer understanding.

Hosea Kamau
Organising the tour prior was very easy. Carol was happy to answer all of our questions and she put together an amazing extended tour for our time in Kenya.
Our tour guide, Hosea, was highly knowledgeable about all of the amazing animals that we saw, very intuitive and accommodating to our needs as tourists. His extensive experience as a guide meant that he was ahead of the game and we were able to witness some incredible moments watching animals in their natural habitat. We would highly recommend their services.

Very well organized
We have spent a wonderful 2 days in Masai Mara Keekorok Lodge, where we used Mufasa as organizer
Our guide Nelson gave us a perfect game ride during these 2 days where we explored plenty of different animals
