Superb
Had one of the best experience in Maun with the team. Always checking up on us and on time, enjoyed all our activities ie boat cruise, Mokoro and Moremi Game Reserve day trip. Please don't hesitate to book them will definitely refer our friends and family to book them in future. Thank you Shipungo Safaris for our wonderful family vacation.

This is one Local Safari Tour that I tried them first time by then and they did not disappoint me.
Like I said I was using them for the first time and and was a bit skeptical about them even though I was referred to them by a friend.
1. Communication wise very impressive
2. Service wise- very patient and not like these other companies who are quick to say deposit upfront to secure your booking, got my confirmation booking over a telephone and paid when I got to Maun.
3. Expectations: 100% what u want or ask for you will get.
4. Safari Tour : Cant wait to do it again, very brave and patient
5. Boat Cruise: Fun and adventures especially doing it in the Delta.

Amazing experience with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide.
My family and I got in touch with Mark to plan the trip to Moremi Game Reserve in advance. Once in Maun we called him and confirmed our trip. He told us he'll come to pick us up from the hotel at 6am and there he was at 6am sharp.
It was cold in the morning sitting in the convertible land Cruiser but he provided us with blankets. I wish he provided us with dust masks. That's the only complaint because we spent in the truck 3 hours to get to Moremi and another 4+ hours driving in the reserve and it gets really dusty... So I would recommend offering the dust masks to avoid discomfort breathing.
Our Guide Titi was amazing. He offered us breakfast and lunch. He knew a lot about the wild life and had books related to all the animals and birds we saw. He was able to answer all our questions.
We highly recommend this safari company and Titi as a guide.

We have for an Unforgetable experience in Moremi Game Reserve
It was rainning ao much. But they are very patient and try to find every single animal. We were very happy to see their passion and kindness. Finnally we ended up seeing lions that are hunting. It was perfect. I really had a lot of fun.

Beautiful Mokoro Tour to the Okavango Delta
We had a very beautiful mokoro tour to the Okavango Delta with Shipungo this November! Communication was friendly and professional, and so were our guides (Sanny and Top Gun)!
We were picked up on time at our hotel, transferred to the mokoro station near Maun by car and had a quite long mokoro tour (including a game walk on an island). Lunch and drinks were provided and delicious, and we got to see and learn about a lot of typical animals in the area - so nothing to complain about :)

Mokoro Tour - Amazing experience
In October 2019 my wife and I did a 3 day (2 nights) Mokoro tour with Shipungo Safari & Tours in the Okavango Delta.
Starting with the excellent organization, our experienced poler and guide with whom we had amazing experiences on our tours and the camp staff who i.a. prepared great food for us, we were very satisfied.
We were also lucky not to have to share the camp with any other fellow travellers (in contrast to other tour operators who do such tours with 20 people).
We would book again via Shipungo at any time and can highly recommend the company.

Excellent tour
What an absolutely great tour experience from the start. the guide was on time to pick up, had to wait a couple of minutes for us, as we were running late. he made us very comfortable before we left the hotel for our excursion.
Upon getting to the Delta, there was a team of people waiting for us, we were taken on the Delta with a canoe. what an experience. they are so professional and the guide Matthew was the best ever. we received lunch, water, cooldrink and snacks as part of the package.
We got to see some really cool animals up close and personal, like elephants, buffalo's, hippo's, giraffe's etc.
We can highly recommend Shipungo Safari Tours, as they are an excellent team.
Regards
Clarissa

Very informative and caring. We had a wonderful day trip :)
Mark is super helpful. We arranged with him a last minute day trip to the Okavango delta. He was available even in late evening and made it happen. The trip itself was great, we took a ride with the makoro boat and did a walking safari, both of them accompanied with detailed explanations. His driver even took us in the end of the day to the bus station and when we found out the bus we had planned to take isn't actually coming he help us to find alternative transportation.
Also he helped us plan other activities in and outside of Maun.
Bottom line: contact Mark and Shipungo if you are in Maun.

Great operator, but much of the experience hinges on local guides, not the tour company.
Very responsive operator...we texted and figured out details over the weekend just before the safari. The pickup service was prompt and friendly, and the vehicle was comfortable. Meals were as expected for the price—basic but tasty. The tent was also as expected.
One thing to be aware of is that the “polers” and guide are part of the village community and they are assigned from a rotating list. Thus, as I understood, the boat operators and tour guides (who also help with camp requirements) can be hit-or-miss. Ours were very friendly and knew what they were doing (good empirical / local knowledge) but not stellar on technical knowledge and customer experience. The Shipungo staff was great, though. Overall it was an amazing experience.
