We would recommend Chalo Africa for those looking for a unique and responsible wilderness experience
5/5

The game safari industry in Kenya caters basically to a western clientele. That's why it was a refreshing change to come across an Indian company like Chalo Africa that caters specifically to Indian needs. More importantly , what made us happy was that we were looking for a more specialized wilderness experience, keeping in mind that we make many visits to sanctuaries and national parks. We liked the fact that they were willing to experiment and help plan a holiday away from a cookie-cutter approach and keeping in mind our desire to get an offbeat wildlife experience. Sangeeta from their team, made several suggestions on what we could do to get off the tourist trail and get a more intimate wildlife experience.

I also like the fact that they tie up with counterparts in Africa who believe in the principle of 'responsible tourism' and take that very seriously. The bushcamp they suggested for us, had no walls constructed, (so we had wild animals coming to sniff our tents at night !) and use of resources like lights and water was restricted to the minimal. We would recommend Chalo Africa for anyone looking for a unique and responsible wilderness experience!

The trip was arranged very well. We received information before the trip which helped us pack, and plan the luggage contents. Everyplace the driver showed up on time and were courteous. Over all we had a great time. Price for the trip was higher than our expectations.

The proper African experience!
4/5

Challo Africa lived up to my expectations during our tour of the Masai Mara,Kenya.
They really ensured we were looked after and the accommodation they suggested in the African bush was exactly what I had in mind.
The lodge itself was beautiful,a cosy house set in the remote wilderness. The service we were given was one of the best I've ever had the opportunity to experience and the safaris were conducted by an extremely experienced, yet friendly guide.

This is the company to go with if you're looking for that genuine African experience.

unprofessional
2/5

Very poor service.
I had talked on the phone with their Delhi office.
This was an inquiry for a trip I was planning.
But they didn't bother to even reply to the email.

Dear Bijal,

We were very saddened to read your review on Safaribookings. It was never our intention to ignore your email, but it so happened that we received your enquiry on the very day that we welcomed Tanvi's new baby to the Chalo Africa family, and the enquiry seems to have fallen through the cracks in all the ensuing excitement.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the oversight, and should you still be looking for help with your trip to Kenya, we will do our best to make it up for you.

Best wishes,
Team Chalo Africa!
