Heart felt thanks for an amazing trip to Uganda, Kenya, and Mombasa
Can't say enough about the amazing team at Africa Adventure Vacations. They made our dream come true every step of the way. Robert was very responsive and accommodating with our planning. Every place we stayed and everything we did was wonderful! Our guides, Frank in Uganda and Felix in Kenya, have a special place in our hearts and made our safari so awesome, fun and full of adventure!
We loved everything, the gorilla and chimpanzee tracking, horseback riding safari, balloon ride over the Masai Mara, cultural tours and so many animals up close, and a couple days to relax at a beautiful beach resort. Most of all the people were so good and kind and we have such a respect for their culture. Hope we can return someday.!

Great Company catered in every way
We had a wonderful time with African Adventure Vacations and Stanley our driver and care taker. Every hotel we stayed at was wonderfully furnished and equipped. We were fed beyond what we could eat. There was never any confusions, hiccups, NOTHING WENT WRONG in the slightest. Stanley made sure to point out sites along our trip and explain things. Every place we visited, we were practically hand held to know where to go and what to do for the best experience possible. We saw Queen Elizabeth National Park, Chimpanzees, Gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi. I wish we were able to spend more time in Uganda. I hope no one hesitates to visit this beautiful country. It is safe and the people are so welcoming. We went for the Gorillas, but enjoyed so much of Uganda thanks to Stanley and the tour company. Thank you Stanley and African Adventure Vacations for making this a trip of a lifetime.

The company established to make your dreams come true ;)
What a holiday…!
We booked a 16-day safari trip to Rwanda and Uganda with Africa Adventure Vacations (AAV), and we were not disappointed. This trip was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and one thing is for sure: we will never forget it!
The program was professionally tailored by Robert, the AAV's trip advisor. He went above and beyond to ensure our safari would be comfortable and unforgettable. He even organised a surprise in one of the hotels on the day of our anniversary with a beautifully decorated room, a bottle of wine, and a romantic dinner. Thank you, Robert, you're a star!
Our driver guide, Caesar, was a walking "encyclopedia". His knowledge of African animals, birds, environment, people, and culture was extraordinary. We bombarded him daily with hundreds of questions, and he never got tired of answering them.
He was always on time, greeting us with a big smile every morning. There was no one in Uganda whom he didn't know. We felt privileged in every place we visited as the people there, such as hotel staff, rangers, and even road guardians, found out that we were with Caesar. We often felt like he even controlled the weather for us, as it was always good, contrary to the forecasts, allowing us to enjoy every attraction. However, this was never confirmed😉.
During our time with Caesar, we always felt safe on the road. He skillfully navigated through the traffic in Rwanda and Uganda, whether it was a rough 4x4 track on the outskirts of the country or the busy streets of Kampala (for those who were there, you know what I mean: "Hakuna matata!").
The fauna and flora also didn't disappoint. We saw the "Big 5" gorillas and many, many more animals, so I won't even bother listing them here. There was no rush, and we had much time to spend with animals until "saturation."
Thank you, Caesar and Africa Adventure Vacations. This was our best holiday ever.

Excellent company
A few days ago I returned from a tour of Uganda for which I hired Africa Adventure through Ashiraf who guided me and carefully put together the 4 days with the places of interest that I transmitted to him.
Gerald accompanied me at all times with his experience and great knowledge, who despite my basic English allowed me with his attitude to understand and take advantage of the magic of that place in the world.
Unmissable is the gorilla trekking as well as the river tour as well as the chimpanzees
Without a doubt I recommend them and if you have questions about how to organize the trip or have peace of mind about the seriousness of the company, do not hesitate to write to me

8 Day Uganda Wildlife and Primate Encounter Safari Tour
My partner and I did the 8 Day Uganda Wildlife and Primate Encounter Safari as a private tour in February 2024. I had contacted African Adventure Vacations who passed me on to Felix (Bashir) to organise the tour via email and WhatsApp. Felix went above and beyond to answer all of my many questions and to ensure we felt comfortable and safe which we really appreciated. We landed in Uganda after a 14 day safari in Kenya, we were tired and unsure what to expect but we were welcomed so warmly by Felix, Edison and the accountant (I forgot her name sorry!) and already our trip was off to a great start, we felt at home and part of the family. The next day we met our guide/driver for our trip Najib, and we had no idea that after 8 days we would become close friends and saying goodbye would be very emotional! On this tour, AAV packed it with so much to do so we really made the most of our money and time which we loved! We had the following experiences: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary walking experience, Murchison Falls National Park, Nile boat cruise, night game drive safari, chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest, Bigodi sanctuary swap walk and community tour, boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, Queen Elizabeth national park, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, boat tour on Lake Bunyonyi. I don’t have enough space to write about how incredible this tour was, but Najib went above and beyond and we saw all the animals we wanted to and more! The community experience was incredible and it was so hard to say goodbye, the food was out of this world, the guides, rangers and accomodation staff were all so friendly and warm. The gorilla trek exceeded our already high expectations. The conversations with Najib over the long drives, learning about Uganda, tasting fruits from the side of the road, waving to the children, playing cards and watching the sunset - these moments will be cherished forever. We wished we could have stayed much longer and we will be back in the future thanks to Felix and Najib, please give them both a raise because they deserve it!

Incredible tour company - best experience
Absolutely exceptional - from the booking and organisation to the day-to-day experiences, lodges, food and beautiful scenery.
Africa Adventure Vacations were brilliant. The customer service was out of this world. Robert organised everything for us, and we paid directly from an Australian bank account to the Ugandan bank. It was smooth and easy to coordinate. The cost was significantly cheaper booking directly allowing us to take advantage of the incredible lodges and accommodation booked.
It was a dream trip - we saw and experienced everything we wanted to - from lions hunting at night, to hippos wading through the lakes, elephants crossing roads and baboons jumping on the truck. It was just a great adventure from start to finish.
We cannot recommend AAV enough. Our guide Abdul met us at the airport and then he ensured we had everything we needed from that point on. A dream come true.
Don't hesitate and book today!

Excellent trip: 16 days to Burundi, DRC, Rwanda and Uganda
We toured with two couples, 16 days to Burundi, DRC, Rwanda and Uganda. Caesar was an awesome guide and Robert handled everything competently from the office side. As is often the case with Africa, adjustments needed to be made along the way during the trip and they were handled well. We saw gorillas twice, chimpanzees twice plus all of the Big 5 and more. An outstanding vacation. Highly recommended!

Organized, comprehensive and tailored the trip to what we wanted to see
I also did a more in depth review on trip advisors, so please review. Were a family of 4 (2 kids ages 22 and 16). Goal was gorillas but Uganda is so much more and incredibly under rated. First, I contacted 9 safari companies out of uganda and Robert of Africa Adventure Vacations, Ltd called me immediately on whatsapp. He addressed every question I had, made wonderful suggestions and had competitive pricing. I knew for the most part what we were interested in seeing and tge parks we wanted to explore but Robert organized it and made it happen. For a little more, we opted for luxury accommodations and wow it did not disappoint. The lodges were exceptional. We got upgraded, we were close to where the animals were known to be. It was top notch. Robert arranged everything so upon arrival we were guests and didn't have to think. We could just enjoy. All meals were included. We had ample water and felt safe
Our guide who met us at the airport upon arrival with Robert was this kind hearted 25 year old local. His pride for his country was evident in everything he did. He was a wealth of information about the animals, local culture and people, cuisine...just everything. We conversed from breakfast until 9pm at night. We had many long drives to talk and get to know him, and he know us. He individualized our vacation to concentrate on what interested us. We are physicians and without us inquiring about it, he took us to an island hospital where we got a tour from the local doctor. It was an amazing opportunity that Herbert arranged. He went above and beyond day after day. We would laugh with him, kids had inside jokes they all enjoyed. He made this trip for us!!! He was an excellent driver. He would stop when we asked and was so organized, making sure we accomplished all we were set out to do that day. By the end, we all she'd tears at the airport as we departed ways from our new friend.
We toured Murchison Falls and queen Elizabeth National parks, ziwa rhino sanctuary, ishasha unsuccessful in searching for tree lions and chimp and gorilla trekking. We did a lot in 8 full days ...probably too much and didn't have much down time to really enjoy the luxury lodges. I would recommend another day or 2 to have a bit more time at the pool etc or cut out a few activities if you're trying to do it all in 8 days. If we had to cut out items I guess I'd not do the swamp tour and salt mining. It was interesting but could have been some time for relaxing. The ishasha sector is a long long bumpy dusty drive. We enjoyed it but would be another almost day of enjoying other activities. I would also say that I would not do the 4 hour chimp habituation. It was costly and way too many people. It was terrific early in the morning when it was just our group but then several people congregated and it was way too populated and the habituation group that paid extra was shoved out of the way for over an hour so the 1 hour trekkers had their time with chimps and we just stood around.
Lake bunyanyi birdsnest resort was a great way to end the trip. I would definitely recommend a porter with gorillas treks. For 4 of us we hired one, who held my hand on the difficult terrain. It was $20 plus tip. The walking sticks were free to use. We toured a batwa Pygmy communityband that should not be missed. Had I known, I would have brought clothing and food to donate.
Bring lots of small shillings to tip. It's not expected but is greatly appreciated. The food was wonderful and no one got sick. Robert provided us with a packing list and it is Essential to follow this. He is spot on with what to pack. We brought sunscreen, DEET, and just a carryon. Don't bring a huge suitcase. We sprayed our clothes with premethrin prior to travel. Bring lightweight raincoat & have good hiking boots. Robert arranged trekking permission and gave links to the visa so I knew it was legit. You don't want to get scammed
I can't recommend and endorse Africa adventure vacations, Ltd enough. There was so much that could go wrong on such a huge trip but they made sure it didn't. I would personally request Herbert as a guide especially if you have teens. He's relatable to us inour 50s but got along so well with our children too. Only thing I would avoid is Rwandair if you can

Amazing experience
This 3 day safari was an amazing experience, we enjoyed it a lot! The communication ahead of our trip with the organiser Robert was easy and smooth. On the accommodation, Pumba Cottages provided an authentic experience, it was great to be so close to nature, and all the staff was helpful and kind. Queen Elizabeth park and Kalinzu forest were beautiful and provided a full-on safari and chimp trekking experience, we were able to see a huge variety of animals. This is of course thanks to Muzafulu, our guide who was swiftly communicating with other drivers, and knowing when and where to go. "M" was a very knowledgeable guide, always happy to answer all our questions on animals, on Ugandan lifestyle or on the next activities in the agenda. He was kind and polite, always inquiring how we are and making sure that we have everything we need. In contrast to Kenya, where we had a group tour, we really appreciated that this tour was private, yet it was very nice to be able to talk with M on a variety of subjects. He is a cheerful and easy-going guide, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him as a guide and the whole of this tour to everyone. So thanks a lot for this tour and special thanks to M!!
