The trip in Uganda and Kenya with Yaneta Safari was a terrible bad experience.
The trip in Uganda and Kenya with Yaneta Safari was a terrible bad experience.
The only positive aspect was our driver in Uganda; Moses was a perfect guide, he always did all the best to meet our desires and expectations.
We did with Yaneta a 5 five day tour in Uganda and 7 days in Kenya where Yaneta involved Big Time Safaris as a partner. We booked the trip in february 2023 and we have paid everything as stipulated in the contract with Yaneta.
The trip had already some issues in Uganda, but it became a terrible nightmare in Kenya.
1) the first night in Uganda two out of four rooms did not have a private bathroom instead in the contract it was specified that a private bathroom would always be guaranteed; we did not receive any refund for this.
2) They booked our flight to Kenya probably at the last moment so we had to fly at 3am, as a result we didn't sleep in any hotel, but we didn't get any refund
3) when we arrived in Kenya the Kenyan agency told us that Yaneta had not paid for our trip; we immediately wrote to Yaneta who replied that Big Time Safaris had increased costs at the last moment, Yaneta however did not want to give them more money and therefore had decided not to pay this difference.
4) Big Time Safaris blackmailed us: pay cash now the difference or we take you to Nairobi and we stop the tour
5) Yaneta asked us to pay because they were economically in difficulty in that moment and asked us to trust them that we will have receive a refund in short time; we had no choice
6) We had to pay to finish the tour, but in the meantime we missed a safari in the Masai Park and did not receive any refund for that either; the cost was $80 per person.
We found ourselves in a terrible situation, forced to pay and treated very arrogantly.
Yaneta wrote me in October to be patient that they would have sent us a refund, but now a new year is arrived and we have not receive any pay back.
We have also thought that the two agencies had organized a scam to extort us further money.
A terrible nightmare !!!

Good, serious company, we had no problem and had a lovely time traveling with them.
"Our trip through Uganda with Yaneta Safaris was filled with exciting experiences. Communication with the agency was smooth via WhatsApp and they generally did their best to accommodate our needs and fulfill our prior arrangements. There was a bit of rush right before the trip, but everything turned out fine. We were especially impressed with our guide/driver, Erik. He was a great conversationalist, knowledgeable, and always ensured we felt comfortable. He truly cared about our accommodations, food, and overall well-being. Thanks to him, our trip was outstanding. Overall, choosing Yaneta Safaris was a great decision and we will definitely hire them again for our next African adventure."

Uganda/Tanzania safari
Our safari in Uganda was a great experience thanks to our guide Nathan. He was very knowledgeable and considerate. We learned a lot from him while on our drives and even were able to try some of the local food. The cabins we stayed in were closer to being budget lodging I would say but it was nice meeting other tourists and backpackers. The gorilla trekking was an incredible experience.
We didn't get to experience much of the culture in Tanzania on the second leg of the trip given we were mainly in the national parks every day. I would recommend adding a couple days that include hiking or trekking because spending 4-5 days mainly sitting inside a car is way too much.
At the end of the trip we were taken to a large outdoor/indoor souvenir market that was literally 3x the cost of all subsequent souvenir shops we visited. Make sure not to waste your time in there.
The best part of the Tanzania trip was tracking the wildebeest migration and seeing the ngorongoro crater. Don't miss those.

Yaneta Safaris is a reliable tour operator in Africa & has good customer service.
I booked a 21-day Uganda Safari with Yaneta before Covid. Since everything stopped due to Covid lockdowns, my trip was moved to July 2021. Uganda was still on lockdown but tourism was open. Yaneta had all the Gorilla & Chimpanzee trekking permits ready. Two weeks prior to my departure, Uganda required a visa prior to departure instead of visa on arrival. I had to hurriedly apply for a visa from the Uganda Embassy. Yaneta closely followed my application. My visa was approved day before my departure.
I had a wonderful time. The driver/guide was very knowledgeable. This was a private safari. We started in the north & worked our way down to the south. One time our vehicle had a mechanical problem. A replacement came at night so the trip went smoothly.
Yaneta is very reliable & has good customer service. They made sure that I was happy & comfortable.

my adventurous and charming trip down to Uganda
Me and my husband planned our festive holidays down to Uganda last December, at the airport we were welcomed by the yaneta crew Bracius and William who were so glad to receive us. They expressed themselves in excellent English and tried to translate the native languages to us which made communication more fun.
They booked us into the best lodges and travelled, guided us with no hesitation or bias. According to the way they guided us you could tell that they loved what they were doing. Having the yaneta safaris staff with us made the trip a success and really enjoyable.
Fabulous safari!
We took a three day safari to Murchison Falls and it was fantastic. It was so well-organized and our guide, Eric, was the best! He was friendly and so knowledgeable! We saw more animals than I ever imagined we would, largely because Eric was so good at his job!
I highly recommend this tour!

Discovery of the Pearl of Africa with the best and reliable tour operator
Choose Yaneta Safaris if you want a reliable tour operator that offers adventurous safaris to the best price. I have booked a 6-days safari with Yaneta not knowing what to expect. The booking itself went smoothly. Bracius was the first to respond to my request here on safari bookings and was also very fast in communicating and responding to my wishes. He adapted the itinerary accordingly. The safari itself was incredible. My guide made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole trip. Thanks to his knowledge and networking with other guides I got to see lions, lepards, hyenas. Besides I could also observe buffalos, giraffes, elephants, zebras etc. As a bird lover I was very much fascinated by the variety of beautiful birds that habitated in Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo National park. All in all I would choose Yaneta again for my next safari trip and can highly recommend Yaneta Safaris.

What an incredible solo female trip around Uganda it was!
I had the most amazing week with Musa while exploring Uganda! From the initial conversations of trip planning to my actual time in Uganda, the process could not have been better without the help of Yaneta safaris. Musa as a local guide has many connections and first-hand experience that creates a once in a lifetime safari experience. He's incredibly knowledgeable about local wildlife which helped me view all the wild animals in the parks. I fell in love with each accommodation i stayed in with a great experience, and I was very impressed with the quality of the "mid-range" selections. They were all beautiful, safe, and welcoming. If your planning a tour in East Africa, I highly recommend the chimpanzee and gorilla treks- they were highlights of my trip! Ultimately, I was so happy with my decision to plan my trip with Bracius a tour consultant from Yaneta safaris.
Thanks again for the life-long memorie

8 Days of exciting magical Kenya safari
We spent our 8 days on a magical safari in Kenya’s national parks. While planning our trip, Bracius was great at communication. He responded to WhatsApp messages within a few minutes. Our driver and guide was Hudson. First day was in Samburu national park at the wonderful Samburu Sopa lodge. The place was beautiful. We saw a lioness stalking giraffes and a mama cheetah with 4 babies. Hudson was a great driver and had lots of patience and experience. He was good at spotting animals even at a distance. We went to Lake Naivasha and Hells Gate. We went on a beautiful hike in Hells Gate and learned a lot about Masai culture from the local guide.Masai Mara was unforgettable as we saw so many animals. Saw one female leopard up close and then one male leopard stalking and hunting a topi,. The vast expanse of plains was mind blowing. Next place was Lake Nakuru where we saw many white rhinos and flamingos. Then Amboseli we witnessed families of elephants feeding and bathing. Next was Tsavo - maneaters lodge next to the river was amazing. There was an elephant walking through the lodge grounds and we heard him eating near our tent in the night. Everything ran smoothly. The hotels and lodges were comfortable with delicious food, especially the Sopa lodges and Lake Nakuru Lodge. All was well organized. It was an amazing and unforgettable trip. Felt truly like we had come back home - there is an indescribable energy in the air. Kenya is working hard to preserve these wild places and really appreciate the people for taking care of the places. We are already planning to come back to Kenya with our two kids. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

We recommend a safari in Uganda with Yaneta safaris
We’ve just finished our safari trip in Uganda with Yaneta safaris and guide Musa. It was 8 days best of great adventures, beautiful views, and a lot of birds and animals in the pearl of Africa, I highly recommend this trip to everyone who wants to go to the safari in Uganda. This trip has got a lot more adventure than just a safari. Chimpanzee tracking and visiting gorillas in their natural habitat is absolutely amazing and really anyone can do it. Uganda is a very beautiful country and very safe one. Food is very good, main roads are also great. We had never before eaten sweet fruits like banana, passsion fruit, avocado pineapple. Our tour guide became our good friend from the very beginning of our trip and made it unforgetable with his smile, his care, his great knowledge. He knows everything about the animals, birds, plants, the history of Uganda and much more! He has always provided the best for us, the best seats, the best views, even animals we spotted at safaris were always incredibly close to us.
We are very grateful for everything and we hope to come back and see this beautiful country again, of course again with Musa and Yaneta safaris.
