Incredible 5 day safari experience!
5/5

We had the most incredible experience on our 5 day safari with Serengeti wakanda. Bartho was very helpful and quick to reply to all of my emails beforehand. When our flight landed over an hour early we called to let him know and he immediately came to pick us up and then was nice enough to drive us to dinner that night as well. Maliaki (not sure on the spelling) was our safari guide and we were very impressed with his knowledge, he seemed to know everything about the animals we saw. He was also very patient with us, as this was our first safari and we constantly wanted to stop to take pictures, and he went out of his way to find great animal sightings for us. Dullah was our chef and cooked us amazing meals each day, I was so impressed with the quality of his food. After our safari, Bartho was nice enough to take us out to dinner again and to print out our Kenya evisas for us. I cannot recommend this company enough, not only was the quality of the safari excellent but everyone who worked for Serengeti wakanda was so kind to us and really seemed to care about giving us the best experience possible! Our 5 day safari was the start to a month long trip through East Africa for me and was easily one of the highlights!

Wakanda Tours organized the perfect 5-day Safari for us
5/5

We went on a 5 day safari (Tarangire, Serengeti (2 days), Ngorongoro) with Serengeti Wakanda Tours and had the best trip we could have asked for. Communication, organization, service, and the team itself were excellent.

Bharti (one of the co-founders) handled all the communication previous to our travels. Bharti speaks excellent English and is a genuinely nice and honest person that helps you with all kind of questions before, during and after the trip. The organization of the transportation and safari were seamless and always on time.

If you book with Wakanda, ask for Andrew as your guide and Suleiman as your chef. Andrew speaks good English (he's also fluent in French) and knows everything about the parks and their inhabitants. Furthermore, he's an excellent driver (a skill that one shouldnt underestimate) and has eagle-eyes, which helped us spotting the following animals: Three groups of Lions, incl. cubs from less than 2 meters, leopards, cheetahs, servals, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, elephants, wilder beasts, monkeys etc.

Suleyman is equally cheerful and somehow manages to cook excellent food despite cooking on rather poorly equipped campsites on a nightly basis. As an extra he's also knows many things about the parks and animals and is happy to share his knowledge with you.

All in all, I can strongly recommend you to book with Wakanda. Other than many other providers, Barthi is not pushy and gives you all the time you need to make your decision. Wakanda also doesnt sell its customers to other operators in cases they do not manage to get a full group of six people.

Bucket list trip
5/5

Really could not have asked for a better trip to serengeti and ngoro ngoro crater. Our guide was super knowledgeable at explaining everything we saw and ensuring we got to see everything, the food was amazing and we had a great time sharing beers and laughs with the other people on our tour. My first experience camping but it was comfortable with good facilities! We had an unforgettable experience in such an amazing part of the world, really recommend this tour :)

From the begging Bartho was really helpful and always available. He also picked us up from the airport and gave us all the information what we needed. The 4 days safari was just amaizing. Our guide Ernest and our safe Chilli was helping us in any cases, any time. Our safari experience was something what we could not even imagine. That was our first safari but definitely not the last! Thank you for everything again! Wakanda forever!

Great value and hassle-free experience
5/5

I’ve been dreaming of going on a safari forever and this trip exceeded my expectations! Went on a 5 day safari to 4 parks, so was able to see all that the region has to offer. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and their whereabouts so we saw the big 5 and others in abundance. We had a cook with us who was very talented and the fresh meals were very large and much more appealing than the box lunches other groups had. Relaxing with a few beers around the campfire after a long day in the car was also very fun and unique to this tour. Bartho was very responsive and accommodating, which made this last minute trip for me possible. Being picked up from the airport and having lodging included before and after the trip was very convenient. Overall this trip was fantastic and I’m very glad I booked with Serengeti Wakanda!

Amazing experience
5/5

This was an amazing experience. Our guide and driver Andrew was the Best!!! He was so knowledgeable about all the birds and animals. In addition to his great driving skills he had eagle eyes and saw animals that we had no idea were there. We saw the Big 5 and so many other animals and birds. We saw the Rhino in the Ngarongaro crater Less than an hour before we had to leave. He would not give up until we found him. He would stop and maneuver to the best spot to take the best pictures. Our chef Soliman made the best meals you could ask for. Even fresh baked rolls for breakfast. This safari exceeded all my expectations and will never forget this experience.

A trip I won't forget.

After booking my tour with Wakanda, Bartho contacted me and answered all my questions regarding transfers from Kilamanjaro Airport, recommendations on where to stay in Arusha town pre and post safari, details of the safari, what to bring etc. He was very professional and timely. Our safari guide was amazing, knowledgeable and patient. We saw the Big 5 and so much more. Our chef made excellent food. The lodging and camping equipment were more than satisfactory. Bartho made sure all transfers were set up and on time. A quality and unforgettable experience all around. Thanks Bartho!

There is something kind but something to be desired
3/5

I searched several companies for a four-day safari. I communicated with some of them, and chose Sereneti Wakanda because it had the fastest feedback and the best reviews. The young president tried to help us in every aspect, including hotel reservations other than safari. As everyone knows, safari tours are expensive. The payment is based on a contract with the company to establish a trust relationship. But we had a different tour from the contract from the first day. I had to go to Tarrengirre on the first day of the contract, but they took me manyara lake saying that the lake was better. In fact, I was a little embarrassed because I chose to exclude some of the companies that didn't go to Tarengirle. They said there were more animals in Lake Manyara, but even if it was true, I wanted to go to Tarengyre, so I was sorry about that. The guide(Simba) was not very kind to us who could not speak English. The problem occurred on the third day. Apparently, the contract said that on the third morning we were going to a game drive to watch the sunrise. But our group was divided into two lodgings, so the guide came to pick us up only after the sun had already risen. On the way, I asked why I didn't go to see the sunrise, but the guide said, "Sunrise? The sun is already out.' I was Angry, I emailed boss to complain about this. the guide who spoke to the boss didn't apologize to me but rather got angry. " Instead of telling him, I told the president right away," he said. He also said that it would have been difficult to see the sunrise anyway because of the bad weather today. Even if it was true, it had to be carried out in accordance with the contract. Satisfaction is a matter for me to judge. Personally, I expected the sunrise the most during the safari tour. And if he couldn't drive a sunrise game, he had to explain to me in advance that he didn't do it for some reason before I complain. Before I left the tour, I was told from boss that our group's accommodations were divided into two. When I heard the story, I was worried that the guide could waste a lot of time picking us up from two places. So I asked how far the two accommodations are from each other. The president said they were close. However, the guide said, "It was hard for me to come and go because it was an hour away from two lodgings." What the hell is true? Of course, we watched all of the Big Five. However, it was quite regrettable that I did not go to sunrise or Tarengirre, which I expected. And I am not quite satisfied that I did not follow the contract and did not seek any concessions from me in advance. But our chef Suleimani was quite friendly and kind. The nature of Serengeti was so wonderful and beautiful, but some of them left something to be desired.

Hello Hyeonsu,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on your recent experience with Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris. Whilst i am most pleased that you enjoyed your overall experience , i am saddened that there were some areas of concern for you, especially with the unkindness atmosphere that you felt from our guide and missing the sunrise on day 3. Please accept our deepest apologies for letting you down and rest assured, disciplinary proceedings have been taken to the responsible guide which includes writting an apology letter to you.

However, i would also like to clarify on the change of itinerary from Tarangire to Lake Manyara on day 1. One of the core values of our company is customer satisfaction, that is why i had to brief you on the changes the day before your safari, as the majority of the animals had been migrating from Tarangire to Lake Manyara during the wet season. Moreover, on day 2, we added a game drive to Ndutu so as you could witness the migration (we had to pay for Ndutu park fees on our expense and we never asked for extra payments from you or the rest of the group). This was all done with the good intention of giving you a phenomenal experience with maximum satisfaction.

With all that being said, please accept our 20% discount price for any future bookings from you or any person that will be recommended by you.

Thank you and goodluck!
With kind regards,
Bartho

Wonderful
5/5

I had a wonderful time on this 4 day safari. There are so many safari companies in Arusha so it can be overwhelming to decide which one but if you're looking for a well run trip on a budget, look no further. Great organisation beforehand with Bartho, Malisa was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and Dula was a fabulous cook. December turned out to be a perfect month for safari - the late rains meant that everything was lush and it also brought out many animals but they stopped to give us plenty of blue skies and sunshine.
The only tip I would make for future travellers is to bring your own snacks if you are someone who gets hungry - while the meals were huge and delicious there were often big gaps between meal times.

Incredible Experience!
5/5

My husband and I went on a 4 day 3 night safari to Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP, and Ngorongoro Crater. The trip was amazing! Seeing all of the animals up close was truly an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend going on a tour with Serengeti Wakanda Tours. Bartho was very professional and he responded to my questions quickly when booking the tour. Our safari driver and guide was Malisa. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, very good at spotting the animals and just enjoyable to be around and talk to. Our chef was Dula. He prepared amazing homemade food for us such has pizza, quiche, dinner rolls, breads, tartes, soups, curries, and so much more. We were totally spoiled on this budget safari!
