Good service and value of money. The guide was well prepared. An unforgettable Safari
Communication was really good as Leonard answered questions in a short time.
The schedule was well planned and water was provided at all times.
Also the guide was really informative and welcoming.

Friendly, knowledgeable, fun, and charming
My family and I booked a safari adventure through Camp Bastian, and our driver Sky Uisso picked us up in Dar es Salam and took us to the Camp in Mikumi, and then also shuttled us to Udzyngwa mountains, and back to Dar es Salam. We spent about a week in one another's company. Sky was friendly, humorous, and just all around a lovely person. We started out as strangers and he quickly became a family friend. He is a more than competent driver, and is also knowledgeable, funny, and a truly lovely soul. We would recommend him over and over again.
Thank you so much for all your help, information, and for being a part of our amazing Tanzanian adventure, Sky. We will cherish our memories and our time together, and you will always be in our hearts.

Superb
Was wonderful 3 days safary with great 2 nigth in Camp Bastian Mikumi.
Thank You all
Amazing experience!
Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed the 3-day mikumi national park tour with going green safari! Lenny (tour operator from going green safari) en ladislaus (guide in the national park) are both very kind, friendly and realiable men. Lenny has a lot of great connections and is willing to help you with anything. For example, he helped us with arranging a flight from Mikumi to Zanzibar just the night before we left, which was a great experience. Ladislaus knew a lot about the animals en where to find them. Very experienced and a great driver. All in all, would definitely recommand!

Highly Recommend
With so many companies to choose from for safari, it’s lucky we managed to find one so great.
All communications were easy with Leonard via WhatsApp to make sure things were clear for us.
We had planned to go to Selous national park, but when we landed Leonard got in touch to say that the recent heavy rainfall meant the roads were in terrible condition and he recommended we change the plans to go to a different national park.
We were a bit concerned as it was so close to the trip we didn’t really want to make last minute changes. That being said the new itinerary going to Mikumi National park actually worked out cheaper so proved to us he just wanted what was best and to make the trip a success.
It was a huge success! Despite the long journey, we really feel this was the right decision.
Our car was great and had a pop up roof so we could see as much as possible! Most of all it was safe and didn’t break down!
Alfonce was a perfect driver, he made us feel completely safe and knew his way around without any problems. He is a Genuinely caring person who stoped to help others having trouble in the park with their cars. He also did not come off the main roads of the park to chase animals or get too close. We still got all the perfect shots and managed to see everything, but didn’t leave feeling as though we had crossed any rules or made the animals scared (we know that others definitely did that and we wouldn’t have been comfortable with this).
Idris was a great host. He we knowledgeable about everything that we asked him and pointed out lots of interesting facts to keep us entertained! We felt very cared for by the two of them!
Sumay at the Masai village was also amazing, he made our trip really special and shared so much with us.
I would recommend to all who are looking for a budget safari and I would also let them lead you with their advice they really knew what was best and made it the perfect trip!

Amazing experience, totally worth it!
Me and my parents booked all inclusive 3 day tour and we couldn’t be more happy. They picked us up from the hotel, we had our own vehicle. Already on the first day we saw most of the animals just by passing through Mikumi national park! We went in the evening to masaai village. And next day it was game drive with amazing views and food. The accommodation was great as well! We loved it so much. Everything was great!

Pushing for customer satisfaction
Leonard was able to tailor us a 2-day safari with transportation from Dar and back. He even helped us get our delayed luggage which was superb service from him.
Camp Bastion was a nice and safe place to stay. Eventhough there wasn't AC in the room, we slept well because there was a fan in the roof, the temp in general is cooler than in Dar and of course nights are cooler. Room and washroom was very clean and sheets were changed daily. Wi-Fi is available only in the restaurant area and speed is enough for messaging. I wasn't able to send any videos, but that's not a big deal.
We had our first Lion contact already before the actual Safari. Just 10min after crossing into the Mikumi NP area we saw 8 lions on the side of the road and stopped to take some photos. In the Safari we saw everything we wished for except a Leopard. That's a reason to come back!
Our other option was to fly for the Safari from Zanzibar but I'm glad we didn't because we weren't in a rush at any point. If we wanted, we could watch e.g. baby elephants play around and on the second day we stayed until sunset.
If you are wondering what camera gear to bring, I had two DSLR bodies, one with 300mm f4 prime with FX-body and other with 85mm f1.8 prime on a DX-body. Maybe a 24-70mm would have been more useful, but I shot 90% of the photos with 300mm anyway. My wife used 70-300mm which also worked nicely. With longer reach heat might become an issue.
