Magical Experience with Gorilla Tours
5/5

While every tour will take you to the jungle to see gorillas, I believe Gorilla Tours did exceptional in the following areas:
1.) Driver was really nice and friendly! This is so important as you will spend hours in the vehicle and its nice to be feel comfortable with the driver from the first second. He made us feel safe on the entire drive and was easy to make candid conversation with.
2) Lodging was incredible. We really enjoyed the dinning room which felt like a family house. You sit at table in a large living room and are served delicious food. The ambiance was just perfect and simple.

Great trip with Gorilla Tours
5/5

My son and I had a great trip with Gorilla tours. In 10 days we saw all the highlights of Uganda including the gorilla's. We did the trip with just the two of us, and all worked out great.

Gorillas in the Impenetrable forest.
5/5

From my first prompt response from Violet, to being dropped off at my hotel at the end of the trip, the Gorilla Tours staff were at the top of their game - helpful, solicitous and passionate about their country & what it has to offer the visitor. The hour we spent with the gorillas was probably my top wildlife experience ever (beating the Red deer rut in Scotland and polar bears in the Arctic) and I have unforgetable memories of the Silverback 'laughing' at the antics of the youngsters crashing down through the trees and the babies beating their chests at us in true TV Tarzan fashion and........ Go and see for yourselves.

An outstanding tour of Southwest Uganda
5/5

The whole booking process from the outset was friendly, relaxed and helpful. All the accommodation was of a high standard. You can tailor-make changes to the itinerary or accommodation (we did for a few nights but the places offered by Gorilla Tours were really good). Gorilla trekking was the highlight but there is so much else too - chimps and plenty of elephants, warthogs, hippos. And so many birds. Even if you don't know anything about birds it is really worth bringing good binoculars (we brought rubbish ones - mistake) and a decent bird book. You will be amazed and may go home an expert.
Our guide/driver/ornithologist was Charles. He was the nicest guy and always calm, courteous and kind. He drove carefully and always pulled over if he needed to use his phone. And he knew everything about birds and could spot them with his bare eyes even when we struggled with binoculars. I think we were very lucky as everyone we encountered seemed to know and respect him. And a lot of the drivers with other tours were simply that - drivers. My only regret is that we (Charles that is) spotted a really rare bird but it simply did not come out clearly on camera.
Unforgettable trip and terrific guide. We will be back!

unforgettable experience, over the top our driver/guide Ronald
5/5

we spent 16 days visiting Murchinson, Kibale, Queen Elisabeth, Lake Bunyonyi, Ruhija for gorilla trekking, Kisoro and Lake Mburo. Our guide, Ronald, was always ready to satisfy every single request we had : from coffee plantation, tea factory, cacoa fruits, not ot mention pineapple or any kind of food we wanted. Fantastic !!
Gorilla trekking was breathtaking, with two silverbacks just in front of us. Trakker and rangers in Bwindi are proud of their job and transfer this passion to people visiting gorillas. Gorilla tours is a very reliable company , where taking care of their customers is a must.

Life changing experience
5/5

I was apprehensive about traveling alone but Gorilla Tours were always there to answer any questions I had they organised all my ground transport, the accommodation was fabulous and I always felt safe. The drive to the Bwindi National Park was long but my driver was accommodating stopping so I could take photos and meet the locals. This is an amazing life experience that I will forever be grateful for, I would recommend it to anyone and really hope to go again one day. I would totally recommend Gorilla Tours.

Marvelous experience
5/5

Though we spent only an hour with the gorilla family, it was a perfect experience. Our family was the "good family," with two silver backs, a couple "teens," mom and a sister, and a baby not quite a year old. It took only an hour of trekking for us to reach our family in the dense forest. And the Gorilla Valley Lodge with its' magnificent views made "gorillas in the midst" come alive. I also stayed at the lodge where the author of "Gorillas in the Midst" did her note taking and relaxing. Another perfect setting, with a lodge that had a bar, a fire place, and a lodge dog that was very friendly. Took the Batwa Trail, and loved the sights. And, finally, the folks at the Travelers' Lodge near the airport were more than accommodating, with an evening dinner on the lawn in the courtyard. The guide/driver was charming and I loved driving through Uganda and taking photos of these charming people. All this at an affordable price.

Impossible to have been any better!
5/5

Gorilla Tours was exceptional in its communication, friendliness, and quality. The tour was tailored exactly to our needs and requests. The lodge was among the best places I have ever stayed. The jeep was clean and in perfect condition. When my wife casually mentioned she would like to see baby gorillas, our guide, Ronald, made sure to get us into a group that had had recent births. Though we expected to hike a little to see the gorillas, we were face to face with them within about 10 minutes. Our proximity to them and the photo opportunities were beyond anything we could have imagined... literally a few meters from us. We spent the rest of the day exploring the countryside and meeting the local farmers and villagers in the valley which was wonderful. I give the highest recommendation to Gorilla Tours.
