Gorilla trekking is an amazing experience which I recommend for anyone going to East Africa.
We had an unforgettable experience gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We did a three day trek and we enjoyed every minute of it. Safari 2 Gorilla Tours was flawless and I really enjoyed working with them. Aaron made all the arrangements for us and he was a pleasure to work with. I would email him at all hours of the day and he responded promptly and pleasantly. He answered all of my questions and he went out of his way to help us make our gorilla trek a memorable experience. Martin was our guide and driver and he was a lot of fun to be with. His driving was perfect, he was flexible with our schedule and he too went out of his way to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see. Truly amazing experience!
Aron communicated to use via whatsapp which made it so much easier - he was very efficient with his responses and happy to answer the countless questions we had before we even booked the trip! After booking, he laid out a clear itinerary and followed up to ensure we were aware of the process etc and also put us in touch with our driver, Martin beforehand.
Martin was very prompt with picking us up from our hotel. He drove us from Kigali to Bwindi National Park, helping with the border crossing. He was great company and knowledgeable about Kigali, Rwanda, Uganda etc and happy to share his wisdom.
The tour itself is once in a lifetime experience - we trekked for about 2 hours before finding the gorillas. The guide & porters, again, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Two-Day Akagera Game Drive
We had a wonderful time on our two-day Akagera trip we booked with Safari2GorilllaTours!! We were picked up promptly the first morning, at our accommodations in Kigali, by our guide Martin. Upon arrival at Akagera, we stopped for lunch at the Akagera Game Lodge, and checked in to our rooms. We then left for an afternoon boat tour of Lake Ihema, where we saw many hippos, crocodiles, birds, and elephants! We then went on a short game drive around the southern end of the park, where we saw more elephants, hippos, warthogs, many many zebras and other animals. We returned to the lodge for our buffet dinner (delicious grilled meats!), pre-ordered our sack lunches for the next day's drive, and settled in to our very comfortable air-conditioned rooms, with wonderful amenities and views of Lake Ihema.
The next morning, we had breakfast from the very large buffet offered, picked up our lunches, and were off by 6:30 a.m. We toured most of the day, seeing large groups of animals, including zebras, waterbucks, impalas,cape bufffalos, elephants (including a very large group coming to the water to drink!), giraffes, warthogs, iguanas, and many varieties of birds. We didn't expect to see the rhinos or lions, as they are very shy and that was okay, just knowing they were out there somewhere was thrilling!
We so enjoyed this tour, even the "African Massage" of the rough roads in the park. We were returned to Kigali in plenty of time for dinner out.

Amazing
We highly recommend travelling with Safari 2 Gorilla Tours. Our tour guide Aron made our trip to Queen Elizabeth Nationalpark unforgettable. He was always pleasant, attentive and reliable. Thanks to him we got to see so many animals, even a leopard (very rare !) and some lions. He organized even a chimpanzee trekking for us. It was a fantastic experience ! Thanks again Aron !
