More than brilliant and with the best safariguide Max!
The planning was a great pleasure from the beginning, our wishes were responded to quickly and very flexibly. We had the best safari guide there is and we can only recommend him to everyone!
Max Lee! His knowledge about the animals, nature, the Maasai people and his warm and open way of passing on his great knowledge made this, our first safari, something very special.
Julieth Wilfried and the whole team were always very flexible and responded quickly to our wishes, the result was a true dream safari!
All accommodations were fantastic.
The safari was simply fantastic, which we of course also owe to our absolutely great safari guide Max.

A safari unforgettable and fantastically beautiful
We were a small group of 5 people and booked a safari with Brilliant Tours in February 2023 and were so positively surprised at how wonderfully everything was organized. It was actually one of the most beautiful travel experiences we had on our Tanzania trip. especially since we had Max Lee with us. the best and nicest guide you can imagine for such an adventure. he has incredible knowledge of all animals and plants and was not only our professional guide but became our dearest friend and companion. Max is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also an exceptional storyteller who captivated us throughout adventure.
Our adventure took us through four of Tanzania's most renowned national parks, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara, where we were able to experience some of the most spectacular wildlife sightings imaginable. In Tarangire, we were overwhelmed by the large herds of elephants that seemed to be everywhere. The landscape dominated by mighty baobab trees enhanced the feeling of being in a truly wild and unique environment.
On the other hand, the Serengeti National Park offered us a completely different adventure. The vast expanse of seemingly endless savanna dotted with acacia trees, and every encounter with the diverse wildlife was a memory we will never forget. From cheetahs to hyenas to giraffes, every moment was extraordinary. The highlight of our trip was definitely the heart-wrenching moment when a lioness lay right next to our vehicle and looked directly into our eyes – it was an exhilarating and humbling experience we will never forget.
In the Ngorongoro Crater, we felt like we were in the Garden of Eden. We saw giraffes, flamingos, hippos, lions, monkeys, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, and many other animals, all coexisting beyond this world. It was an incredible feeling to be among all these wild animals and simply enjoy nature. We even got to observe one of the last free living rhinos from a distance.
Max's charm, attention to detail, and ability to take us to places where we could experience wildlife up close without disturbing it left us speechless. He impressed and inspired us with his expertise and passion for nature. His contagious enthusiasm for Tanzania's wildlife, birds, and ecosystems was palpable, and we learned more every day.
At Lake Manyara, during our final picnic, we watched an elephant peacefully eating from a tree. Simply wow!!!
Many thanks to the entire Brilliant team for this breathtaking experience that we will never forget. Before we had the safari, all our questions were answered immediately. If you are planning a safari in Tanzania, you should choose Max as your guide.

Professional, thoughtful and will always ensure you have a great experience
From our initial enquiry my wife and I felt extremely comfortable with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris which is why we ended up choosing them over other companies with more reviews online. We must admit this did worry us a little at the beginning but I cam assure you that Brilliant Adventures and Safaris really do live up to their name.
I booked our trip rather last minute but Jane was friendly, helpful, full of suggestions and advice. She was very patient with our many questions and happily answered them all. She even helped us save money on our trip. And it was a really sweet and unexpected touch for her to meet us at the airport on our arrival and again to wish us farewell when we left.
The service continued to be of top quality from our booking onwards; Jane prepared an planning pack with advice on what we would need to bring and do in advance, and continued to be quick with answers with all our questions. Once we arrived this service continued with our guide, Bonnie; a really happy and friendly guy who made us feel instantly relaxed and welcome and before long had us feeling like old friends. From then onwards everything was fantastic. The vehicle we had for our 6 days was clean, comfortable and perfect for long game drives. The accommodation was beyond our expectations, specifically the Into The Wild Serengeti Campsite. It is a truly wonderful place to stay on safari. Bonnie also made sure that each meal and lunch hamper accommodated my wife's vegetarianism, which made everything easy.
But the important part, the animal sights, we experienced so much more than we had dreamed of. And though the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater do seem to have a different animal behind every twist and turn of the roads, a lot of the specific sightings were down to Bonnie. On our initial drive from the airport he asked us what we had come to see, what we really would love to see and went over and above to ensure we had the best chance of seeing it. And in every one of our requested sightings he delivered 10 fold. He is also extremely knowledgeable, flexible and has a great sense of humour, which made it a pleasure to spend 6 days with him and heightened our whole experience. He taught us so much about the nature but also of Tanzanian life and culture in general our sightings felt all the more special and our trip all the more fulfilling.
So as I'm sure is evident at this point I would highly recommend Brilliant Adventures and Safaris, they have a great team and provide an excellent service, and we will most certainly be returning in the future

A great tour operator
Brilliant Safaris organized a perfect 6-day safari for us. It started with the booking, where Julieth was so reactive and helpful and spent several days going through various changes for us. We were given a great level of information to help us with the choice of lodges and trip schedule. Then, from the moment we arrived to Kilimandjaro, we were taken in charge by our amazing guide, Joshua. He really made our safari perfect. Joshua is so nice, extremely knowledgeable, a great driver, knows everyone in Serengeti and was always able to find the best wild life scenes for us. The tour was organized for 2 people, and we were in a super comfortable jeep, with much more leg space than in the other jeeps we were seeing during the game drives. Value for money was super competitive. We will absolutely go with Brilliant Safaris again if we ever go back to Tanzania.

Reliable travel agent who perfectly organized our successful three week tour.
Brilliant Safaris professionally arranged a private three week tour visiting Selous (Nyerere), Mikumi, Serengeti (migration), Ngorongoro and Tarangire. We are two serious amateur photographers and experienced travellers. The trip was perfectly organized. Our very friendly driver guides (one for the South, Hassan, another for the North, Gabriel) perfectly understood our specific needs. They were patient, flexible and very knowledgeable about the terrain and wildlife. They always knew where to find what we were looking for. The person responsible at Brilliant (Jane) was reachable each time when needed and responsive, in daily contact with the driver guides. The lodges and camps (mid-range, according to our request) were well chosen, nice and comfortable and the car was well adapted for photography. The price of the trip was reasonable considering the benefits, reliability and service. We will certainly choose Brilliant Safaris again when we return to Tanzania. I can only recommend.

Amazing!
Brilliant adventures and Safaris gave us an incredible experience. Julieth was very professional and accomodating and provided us a seamless itinerary based on our requests. My sister and I booked a 6 day safari and we couldn't be happier with chosing this company. From the lovely accomodations, airport pick-up and drop-off, and our guide it was truly well-planned. Osbert, our safari guide, was amazing! He went above and beyond with everything and had a wealth of knowledge. You could tell he has a passion for wildlife. Unforgettable safari
From the first email with Jane, Brilliant Adventures and Safaris could not have been more helpful. Jane was very responsive and helped us to plan a holiday exactly to our needs, being incredibly flexible to our changing flight times and ensuring that we would get the most out of our time on safari. Jane was also able to help with booking flights, accommodation, transfers and tours on Zanzibar which was an added bonus. Our safari itself was amazing, our guide Bony was very exprienced and knowledgable as well as being great company, he was very flexible and adapted to our preferences as well as making many recommendations to ensure we had the best time and saw as many animals as possible. The safari vehicle was fabulous with a roof which could be removed for better viewing and a fridge with cold drinks and snacks. The accommodation was all very comfortable and the food was delicious, including our lunches each day on safari. We had a truly unforgettable time and would love to return one day. I cannot thank Jane and Bony enough for everything they did for us and would highly recommend Brilliant Adventures and Safaris to anyone considering a holiday in Tanzania

Very friendly and professional company
We used Brilliant for our family safari trip and they were excellent from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for Jane and the team. My husband and I went on safari to Tanzania in February 2023 for our honeymoon. We booked directly with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris. We were a little nervous booking directly and not booking through a travel agent, however, we were delighted with their service, and would highly recommend them.
