Amazing Selous and Mikumi Trip
We couldn't possibly recommend Wild Gaze Safaris enough for the wonderful memories we carried with us on the 8 days Selous and Mikumi National Park bespoke itinerary. Ernest made booking pretty smooth and straightforward. The trip was a great adventure as we saw a huge number of birds and animals, enjoyed the pristine parks in seclusion. I cannot fault anything on this well organized trip that was above what we anticipated.
We hope to return in the near future.

Ruaha and Selous Safari
We did 3 days in Selous followed by 3 days in Ruaha and without going into much detail it was an amazing experience. We took the camping option for a more intimate and authentic safari experience in the secluded parks away from the big crowds we have seen in the northern circuit. I am truly indebted to Ernest who did an amazing job of planning our trip. Nurdin our guide was the best, he made us feel special and took care of all our needs on the trip. Always had time to answer our questions and the best guy in spotting wildlife.
Food and accommodations were all better than we expected. The tents were clean and comfortable.
In short we had an outstanding holiday thanks to Wild Gaze Safaris

African safari of our lives
The visit to Tanzanie with 5 of my closest friends to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire which are some of the most beautiful natural places on the planet exceeded all my expectations. Ernest our host and guide took take care of planning and guiding our trip that we had no issues. Staying in tented camps gave us the real safari feeling that beat all the other trips we have done as a goup hands down. Ernest gave us the best value and he will remain on my quick contact list for future trips.

Absolutely Excellent
My friends and I had an absolutely fantastic trip to Tanzania with Wild Gaze Safaris. Edwin proved good driver and even a better guide. He showed us the best of Tanzania at Tarangire National park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National park. The crater descent was the highlight of the whole trip seeing myriad animal specials including the rare back rhino, a first for me. I have no reservations in recommending WILD GAZE SAFARIS!

We are still in remembrance of the great safari.
Ernest- owner Wild Gaze adventures, our host in Tanzania and also our guide in Tanzania was amazing all through from the time he picked us at the airport to our last goodbyes. He was exceptional in showing round his bountifully endowed country in flora and fauna. He taught us so much about wildlife conservation and habits of elephants, wildebeest, lions, cheetahs, baboons, warthogs, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes and different birds species that we saw. Ngorongoro was abslotely breathtaking from the view point and spectacular when we descended to the floor.
We loved the accommodations, they were perfect for us and our teenage boys.
We are still in remembrance of the great safari.

Camping with a historical twist
I always wanted to return to my birth place in Iringa Tanzania and this happened last summer with my dear wife of 27 years. Wild gaze Safaris organized our three day visit to Ruaha Park which also included a visit to Mgola Farm in Iringa where I grew up.
The whole experience was well planned and executed perfectly by guide Nolasco.
My wife was seeing lions, zebras, hyenas, elephants, buffalo herds in their natural habitat for the first time while bringing nostalgic memories of my formative years.
I can only say thank you to Wild Gaze for organizing a very special trip

Camping Safari in Tanzania
Last year my friends and I had an amazing camping tour of Ruaha and Mikumi National Parks with Wild Gaze Safaris. This company was pointed out by our friends and impressed us with their professionalism, top class service and quality camping equipment. Ernest the director was our guide and he has been involved in guiding safaris for more than 10 years. His experience around Mikumi and Ruaha was invaluable in selecting the scenic routes that had plenty of animals. We were luck to watch a pride of lions putting down a zebra right before our eyes. We learned a lot about Tanzania culture including spending time with the family of the late great Chief Mkwawa in their ancestral home in Kalinga.
Both campsites had very few campers giving open access to the facilities, it was much fun to sit around as Alex prepared our meals cooling off with lots of Kilimanjaro and Serengeti beers and later retire to very comfortable and clean tents.
I highly recommend Wild Haze Safaris for the complete safari and camping experience.

What a beautiful country and wonderful people
I should have written this review back in December when the details were still fresh however let me take this unexpected break to offer our (wife & I) appreciation for an intense week of amazing safari in Tanzania!
The itinerary to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater was perfect; we did not want to leave after the safari, we wish we did two weeks instead of one week in the exquisite lodges that you hooked us up with.
Game drives with Nolasco were action packed with amazing wildlife experiences. He is also a birding enthusiast and treated us to great descriptions of the more than 200 species of birds. We took so many amazing photos on tour and we’ve shared some on this post.
We hope to be back soon to Tanzania.

Best Camping Safari in Africa
From our initial email while planning our trip to the last minute as we said our good byes Ernest the director-Wild Gaze Safaris has been close to our side and ready to attend to our needs. He was very helpful in putting together an impeccable camping itinerary in Selous Game Reserve. We were overjoyed to find him waiting for us at Dar-es-Salaam and to learn that he would be our guide too. His experience of guiding in Selous was evident; he knew where to go in the unmarked wild trails to get wild animals. It’s like he had a sixth sense of tracking and spotting them. We saw huge elephants and buffalo herds, hyenas, lions, different birds, giraffes and others. In addition to the many game drives we also did a bit of fishing and boat safaris on Rufiji River.
This camping trip has been one of our best experiences in Africa.

A Holiday of wilderness and amazing gazing
In the spring last year I contacted a number of safari companies and Wild Gaze replied swiftly and comprehensively. Because we were flying to Arusha Norbert was our main interlocutor during that preparation period and over the next few months we communicated on a weekly basis. Apart from the safari there were other specific things that I wanted us to do and planning our itinerary wasn’t easy but Wild Gaze Safaris were extremely helpful and accommodating. They organised accommodation as well as our bus and taxi journeys and they looked after us as if we were royalty! In Arusha Norbert and Fred, the taxi driver, were attentive to our every need. We started our safari in Iringa where Ernest, the master mind behind Wild Gaze, and Nalasco, our driver and guide for the next four days looked after us beautifully. Nalasco was there when we stepped off the bus and Ernest welcomed us at The Sunset Hotel. A very well chosen venue with lovely food and friendly staff. Over the next four days everything was beautifully laid out and we discovered Ruaha. Nalasco is a very kind and knowledgeable guide who helped us understand the landscapes and its mighty inhabitants. The national park of Ruaha is wonderful and we saw some amazing animals. Nolasco could see everything miles ahead. He was also an excellent driver and the drive was not an easy drive! No doubt the top gear team would award him a medal. On the last day of our safari he drove us across valleys and mountains to take us to Mikumi, and on our way we stopped in Iringa where Ernest, because we were pressed for time, handed us some delicious chicken and chips through the window. A great team work. After a few wonderful days in Zanzibar we returned to Arusha where once again Norbert took us under his wing. Thank you Wild Gaze team for an amazing adventure!!!!
