Amazing
Having experience Bush Travellers Safaris, I strongly advise you to go on safari with these guys. The food was incredibly tasty thanks to barney great cooking. The game drives where fantastic and we never got bored. Sage knew a lot of animals and we where lucky to see most of the animals in the area. The camps are great and set up fabulous and the showers where a luxury. The whole experience of the Bush Travellers Safaris was absolutely wonderful especially the company of Sage, Toullah and Barney.

This was by far our best African safari experience!
Four of us booked a safari with Bush Travellers Safaris (BTS) in October 2013. We were a little hesitant because we could not pay by credit card but had to transfer the fee directly to the company. But the price was very reasonable, compared to other companies, so we took the chance. This was the right decision. From the first greeting to the last goodbye, our experience was far more than we could have hoped for. We did not sign up for a luxury safari, as we wanted to help with cooking and camping activities. Besides, our previous week in Kenya was on the more luxurious side. BTS answered all our questions, in advance of our departure as well as throughout the safari. Our guide was knowledgeable, kind, and very skilled, with excellent English and a good sense of humor. Our cook was incredible, making everything from mac and cheese to pizza and a birthday cake over an open log fire. The assistant driver/guide did much of the hard work with good humor and no complaints. We felt our team enjoyed the trip as much as we did. We saw every kind of animal: lions, leopards, elephants, including those that walked through our campsite and ate our vegetables, hippos, birds of many kinds and colors. The tents were comfortable, bedding was supplied, and plenty of water was available for washing and drinking. The BTS team went out of their way to solve even the smallest problem. They quickly replenished the vegetables, for example, although we were far from any town. The landrover was comfortable and well equipped (unlike the one in Kenya). But above all, the BTS team became like family: we worked together, laughed together, and experienced together the wonderful country of Botswana. We felt perfectly safe at all times. We would recommend this company without a single reservation and would be willing to share more of our experiences and photos if BTS requests it.

A great moment!
We spent 11 days with Sage and Kabi from Maun to Kasane. The perfect thing was that we were just two of us! That was an amazing experience in term of wildlife and landscapes. Botswana is definitely beautiful.
Sage is a really nice guy and an experienced guide. Both of them are from the area and have a deep knowledge of the animals and the culture (even the paths, which is really important to catch lions, leopards...).
The campsite was really well organized and the food was great.
My wife and I had a really really good time there and we are starting to organize with friends of us a trip in Kalahari.
Tips: with you can, ask for "a private trip" or with few people. The car was made for ten people and I guess that could be less interesting with a crowd!

Excellent and unique
knowing Bushtravellers and the owner Buxton from prevoius safari we decided once more to do a complete safari of two weeks again with them, starting in centrla Kalahari/ Deception Valley, endingup in Chobe National Park. This time safari (we decided on routing on our own, based on several previous visits to Botswana) was even better. Personal service, knowledge of son Sage as guide, quality of overall service was outstanding! The company is small enough to provide flexible service, tents are spacious and equipped with stretchers and sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, light and even a personal bathroom and shower!!!!! We were a group of six and enjoyed the service of a team of six, including chef Bani, who every evening prepared an excellent three-course tasty dinner. Vehicles, tents and equipment are in perfect condition. All campsites used were BOGA-sites and we always had place for our own, not being disturbed by others! Sage as guide and driver proved to be excellent.
We have visited Okavango area prior to this safari with other operators and can therefore judge and compare. If you think our rating sounds exagerating, simply test Bushtravellers yourself. Value for money is more than you can expect.

Highly recommended!
For anyone interested in a genuine safari experience look no further. We (a Swedish family of four) left Botswana with fantastic memories thanks to Sage, Tula, Moses and Lee. Super-nice guys to be around. Prior expectations were high but they were all met 100%. Everything perfectly organised from start to finish. We were treated to a well thought-out programme during our five days in the bush. The tents very comfortable and the superb food a far cry from what we manage when tenting on our own here in Sweden. Liked the way BT had planned the trip. It involved a crescendo of experiences. After the long plane journey we started off with a slow and serene mokoro-trip and ended up 5 days later in the game-filled and scenic part of the delta called Khwai. Game-drives with Sage constantly rewarding due to his deep knowledge, respectful attitude towards the animals, patience in answering our questions and friendly demeneour. Add to that a good sense of humour and an eyesight that dumbfounded us time and time again. So let me end where I started: Highly recommended!

One of the best Safaris in my life!
For me it was the 4th time I did a tented Safari withs Bushtravellers. Each time it was a great adventure. We saw almost all animals you can see in the Okavango delta, at Savuti, at the Chobe river or in the Nxai pan.
This kind of Safari is the best way to explore nature. You don't have other people with you at the camping places and you can hear at night all the noises of the bush. In one word:
BRILLIANT!!!!!
(and by the way: it is the cheapest way to do a safari in Botswana!)

A Dream Come True
This was our third trip with the bush travellers and it was amazing as always. After an exciting week filled with many animals, fantastic food from the cook and improved tents (with separate "bathrooms") it was hard to say goodbye to everyone because we became such close friends. But we are looking forward to seeing everyone again! This won't be our last time.

Excellent Botswana experience!
We spent two days with B-Man visiting Moremi and the Delta and could not have been happier with the whole experience! From the initial contact with Shuffle in setting up arrangements, through to B-Man's good humour and excellent knowledge of the environment, our first-time trip to Botswana was greatly enhanced! All arrangements went according to plan and it was made very clear that the whole programme was to be geared around our personal requirements. Our next trip to Botswana will definitely incorporate another Bush Travellers experience!

Experience of a lifetime
If you want to see the real Botswana and have a sense of adventure then Bush Travellers are the safari people to go with. We had first class treatment and food.
Your first contact is with Shuffle who will answer your every query promptly.
Sage is incredibly knowledgable about the wildlife and his eyesight is binocular. Fortunately his knowledge extends to the birds as well as we are keen birders.
Thank you to the rest of the team who looked after us we had fun and laughs we will miss you, hope to be back.

An unforgettable experience
Having experienced a Botswana safari with bushtravelers I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone. Being slightly anxious, I was quickly reassured by their team that I was perfectly safe. Their knowledge about reading animals was amazing. Our two families of five experienced hippos, lions and elephants within our camping vicinity at night and countless sightings during the day. Our tents were robust, clean and comfortable as was our outdoor bush shower and toilets. Barney's cooking was sensational, and Tula's unwavering help around the campsite very appreciated. Sage's knowledge about the area and its animals was outstanding, not to mention his great sense of humour made us feel almost like part of his family. So much so that there was a few tears when we left the team to come home. An experience I will never forget, a must do!
