Amazing Experience climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and going on Safari
Wild Ways did a great job communicating our entire trip. The experience in destination was great. Wild Ways paired us up with guides that successfully took us through the 7 day journey all the way to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro! It was an incredible experience and we had great hospitality all the way through.
After the hike, accommodations were very nice, we loved The Farmhouse! On our Safari we saw tons of different species. Our guide was great on communicating with other operators to get us to the most desirable animals to see in the park.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend Wild Ways!

A truly wonderful family holiday that exceeded our great expectations.
I contacted eight travel companies to plan our adventure to Tanzania, and then studied in detail our favourite three offerings. It was clear that WildWays offered a very knowledgeable local experience, and this was shown throughout the tour, with incredible knowledge of wildlife, culture and history. Keeping two families, with children from 10 to 19 engaged was not a problem, and they kept the pace absolutely perfect every day. We wanted a packed adventure, as we were limited by time, and we also wished to travel by land to get a real sense of space and country. The vehicles were perfect for the occasional rugged terrain, and well stocked with snacks, cold drinks and USB chargers....although surprise surprise the kids only needed them for photos and videos. If we return for another trip to Tanzania, Wild Ways will be the only stop. Thanks for a great family trip.

Fantastic First Safari Experience. Very Confident in Wild Ways.
My husband and I just returned from our 6 day/5 night safari with Wild Ways (April 2019).This was our first safari so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but everything was exactly as we hoped. Wild Ways is currently a two person team: Alpha-the organizer/office manager and first point of contact and Mariki, the driver and guide.
Before the safari-- What immediately stuck out to me was how communicative Alpha is. He is very timely, usually responded within an hour or two and was happy to answer my questions and make adjustments. We went back and forth for a while to create a perfect itinerary with the type of accommodation that we wanted, within our budget. What I liked is that they listened to what we wanted, even specific accommodation requests like Migombani Camp & Ngorongoro Farmhouse. Our itinerary included Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire Parks as well as a half-day cultural tour of Mto Wa Mbu village which included a local lunch.
During the safari--Pick up from our hostel was on time, we stopped at a grocery store in Arusha to pick up some personal items and got a latte for the road at Kahawa Cafe. Then we ventured to Lake Manyara. Mariki really knows about animal behaviors, habitats, what to look for and where to find them. You can ask him pretty much anything. He is familiar with photography and will consider the placement of the vehicle and lighting to help get good photos. He also has a stockpile of reference books in the vehicle so we could look up birds. It’s evident he knows every road and even trees within the parks, he drove safely and navigated the bumps and dips in the roads with ease. We even came across an accident with two overturned vehicles and Mariki was prepared with a towing chain and leapt into action to help pull the vehicles out of the road. Out of the other 8 safari vehicles, no one else had the tools to help. His preparedness and experience really shone in that moment. On our last night, Mariki planned a nice dinner with a private chef, George, who stayed at our campsite and served us, it was a really thoughtful touch and made our trip really special. On the conclusion of our trip Alpha met us in Arusha and drove us directly to the Kilimanjaro airport (with a coffee stop) for our flight.
I would definitely recommend Wild Ways! My advice is to be communicative about what you want or don’t want and your expectations. I feel that they will do their best to create the experience that considers your interests, budget, and lifestyle. I think they get a feel for what their guests are like and try to read each individual situation. Personally, we are go-with-the-flow, like some independence, camping and being closer to nature, later mornings and have an interest in birds and landscape photography (in addition to all the awesome animals). If you have questions, be sure to ask them. I think during the safari, a little more communication about logistics (like distance between parks, what happens when we arrive at camp, etc... ) would have been helpful, but we learned to ask about these things. Everything was at our pace and we didn’t feel pressured to adhere to any preset things. Though, we went in low season so this may be different in the high seasons depending on the camps and the park. Thank you Mariki & Alpha at Wild Ways for helping us create a trip of a lifetime.

Wonderful Experience!
We recently returned from a 5 day safari with Wildways visiting tarangire, lake Manyara, ngororogoro crater and the Serengeti.
Where do I start?! From the very beginning, alpha was a pleasure to deal with, always responding quickly to my emails and providing amazing tailor made itineraries based on what we were looking for. When we arrived, everything was so seamless and professional. Our safari was magical. Marikis knowledge of the animals is incredible, we had front row seats to everything and not only saw the wildlife but saw their behaviours in the wild. The truck was clean, tidy and stocked full of water and anything you would need.
Mariki and Alpha are so passionate about what they do and will do everything to make sure you have the best experience. I have worked in travel for 8 years and have used many tour companies all over the world and can confirm that Wildways are one of the best. I will recommend them to everyone and anyone thinking of doing a safari in Tanzania - look no further, the adventure truly never stops!

Excellent Safari Company
We did a 5-day safari with Wildways, visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. This was the highlight of our honeymoon!
Wildways is a small company providing customized tours and 100% personalized attention, with good cost-benefit. Alpha and Mariki are in the business for more than 15yrs.
Before traveling, Alpha was very quick in responding and always suggested different options until we found the best in terms of price and accommodations.
During the safari, Mariki, the tour guide & driver, took us to all the premium spots for animal watching. He is an excellent and safe driver. He was also very flexible with the times and itinerary, always finding the best option for us.
The car was always clean and offered us great comfort even in the long distances we travelled.
Ask Mariki about animals and wildlife! He is very knowledgeable and will share his knowledge about birds, animals and their habits.
After the tour was over, we asked Alpha for help to get transportation and tour info in Zanzibar. Even though his services had ended he offered help and saved us a lot of headache in Zanzibar. This is great service!!!
Thank you Alpha and Mariki!

Incredible Safari experience
Recenlty came back from a 5 day safari with Wildways. Firstly the booking experience was incredibly easy and professional and Alpha was always prompt with his replies. He helped us to create our safari route based around the lodges we wanted to stay at, and offered advice on where to go. Even after our Safari ended and we had trouble with our connecting flight to Zanzibar, Alpha liaised with the next hotel to ensure we were sorted - great service!
The safari itself was incredible. We went to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorogoro crater and the Serengheti. Mariki our driver and tour guide was so knowledgable of the animals and their habitat and we always seemed to be right in the thick of the action. He seems to read the animals behaviour and movements and we always ended up with front row seats to the most amazing experiences. His passion for his job and the animals was incredible, and it was a genuine pleasure having him as our tour guide. I dont think our safari experience would have been the same without him. The truck was clean, tidy and always fully stocked with cold drinks and even had wifi for us to send our pictures back home! All in all a fantastic experience. If anyone is ever thinking of doing a safari, i would recommend Wildways time and time again

Friendly, professional, educational, and high-quality safari experience through northern Tanzania
I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Wildways. I did a 9 day safari through Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and the southern and northern Serengeti. Mariki was an amazing guide with extensive knowledge about the wildlife, the culture, and the climate patterns. He did an excellent job getting us the best views of all of the various wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, lions, leopards, monkeys, hyenas, birds, hippos, and we were even able to watch the wildabeests crossing the Mara River during their Great Migration. It is definitely clear that Mariki is very experienced and passionate about what he does. He is very flexible with accommodating the trip to be exactly how YOU want it but also gives his input as to what times and activities would provide for the best experiences, which is very much appreciated.
If you are able, I would definitely recommend doing the "Culture Walk" through one of the villages near Arusha. This was a 1-2 hour walking tour through a village that began with a delicious authentic meal prepared by a group of local women. We were also able to see a banana farm, rice paddies, a wood-carving workshop, a painting workshop, and a marketplace. We were able to interact with many of the local residents and get to experience and learn about how life is like for them.
Overall my experience with Wildways was phenomenal and I would recommend it for anyone who is wanting to experience the beautiful country of Tanzania.

Excellent company and wonderful service!
On the recommendation of a friend, I met WildWays and it was great to have Safari with them. Everyone we had contact with was super attentive and helpful, always available. We did 3 nights and visited Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Our guide, Beaver, made no effort to see as many animals as possible. The lodges were great and according to what we had hired. All excellent staffs! An amazing experience I want to repeat! Att, @cabenorote

Amazing experience!
Amazing experience during 3 days of gamedrives. We could not have chosen a better company! Alpha, the owner of the company, always very attentive and solicitous. He made a point of aligning the entire Safari path in person and made sure we were fine all the time. Beaver, our driver, very attentive and friendly. With his wisdom he taught us a lot every day. In addition, I always looked for the best ways so we could have the best times. If I were to do Safari again I would do with the same company for sure and I indicate a lot!
