George exceeds expectations with his knowledge, warmth, professionalism & passion for his country.
5/5

Visiting Tanzania from Western Canada was a huge adventure for our family (6 adults, 2 children), none of whom had visited Africa before. Very soon after George met us at the airport, we knew we were in very caring and experienced hands. Although the overall sites we were to visit over the next 10 days were predetermined, George was very keen to customize within that framework to meet the interests of the group. He knew when and where we were most likely to view the animals we wanted to see. Everyone was given as much time as desired to take photos. We always felt safe and comfortable as we visited each location, thinking that particular day had been the best, only to be topped by the next day's sites and experiences. George's extensive knowledge of wildlife behaviour, along with his passion for the history and culture of his homeland took this adventure to a level that far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend George Munge and Northland African Adventures to anyone who wants to visit this beautiful and amazing country.

George Munge has proven to be a dedicated, detail oriented, passionate voice for Tanzania.
5/5

My experience is not with Northland Africa Adventures...but with George Munge, our safari leader. In 2014, our entire family gathered in Tanzania for a life changing experience. Our safari guide and leader was George Munge...who, happily for us, has since launched his own company, Northland Africa Adventures Ltd. Our experience with George was the following:
- outstanding attention to detail
- has a complete knowledge of not only the area (where he actually grew up), but of the customs and personality of his people
- the ability to easily engage with and generate complete trust in his abilities by everyone who travels with him
- has the drive to provide the best experience for his "flock" and ensures that local vendors do as they are supposed to do
- is a family oriented man who cares deeply for his family and has the work ethic to provide leadership for them
- a person who is looking to the future and creating the best company he possibly can.
Our family has NO DOUBT that George will be an outstanding success. He knows the landscape and the vibe of Tanzania. He provides a safe and wonderful atmosphere to learn and his drive to provide the best experience will prevail. Africa is a wild and wonderful and for first-timers... a daunting place. George Munge alleviates any fears one might have and I would highly recommend him not only for the Northland company that he operates...but in any situation when you need someone in your corner. This company, though young, is in extremely good hands and we can't say enough good things about George.

Best Safari Experience Ever (Have ben on 25+ Safaris over 30 years)
5/5

Honestly, of the 30 or more Safari trips I've taken in Kenya, South Africa & Tz, Northland Africa Adventures truly excelled. During our planning, this company worked closely with me, offering a great selection of lodging, working with our limited budget, and keeping me abreast of any changes. We were hosting a 1st time visitor to Africa, and they made two suggestions (An excellent Village Bike ride through Mto w Mbu rice fields & banana plantations, and a lovely lunch at one of the lodges) that made this trip special.

Northland African Adventures staff are On TIME. Their vehicles are clean, well-equipped vehicles (charging stations, small fridge, plenty of binoculars, very good animal, bird and insect reference books).

Our tour guide George went above the call of duty to help us with check-in at lodging and with extra requests. George is an absolute top notch tour guide - probably the best guide we've had over the past 30 years. He loves the animals & the earth, is extremely knowledgable, and can converse on geology & ecology as well as animal and bird life. He has a 6th sense for finding animals in action, which allowed us to see a cheetah mother & adolescent cubs take down a Grant's gazelle (previous safari) and a monitor lizard battle some plovers over their eggs (this trip). George related well with our two teenage boys; our entire family was delighted with the trip.

George's strong desire to reach out to Tanzanian kids and teach them about wildlife and instill a love and respect for nature is also admirable - he visits local schools and gives wildlife talks during his (very few) spare moments.

I would highly recommend Northland Africa Safaris. We will be booking them for future safaris. Give them a try - you will NOT be disappointed.

We had a great, exciting and safe excursion into the Serengeti with George as our guide.
5/5

The safari tour exceeded expectations. We saw a multitude of animals on their great migration including many newborn wildebeests with their umbilical cords still attached! George was very knowledgeable and taught us interesting facts about the plants and animals. He was open to all questions about the Serengeti and the Tanzanian culture.

Nature in hand's reach
5/5

Spent a week with George visiting Tarangiri, Serengety and Ngorongoro in the end of November, 2020. It was an amazing experience. George organized everything very well:
- meeting us at Kenia border
- all accommodations and activities
- game drive in different locations

During the whole week Geroge helped us to solve issues we had and tried to make our experience as enjoyable as possible.

Game drive part was packed with emotions: we saw the Big 5 and had many other interestings spots. George's eyes are designed to notice almost invisible things around.

The car for safari was in a very good shape, almost new. Sometimes we spent hours on the road and George turned out to be an interesting companion, he has interesting stories to tell.

Overall I rate the experience as 10/10 and would definitely recommend George and his company if you want unforgettable experience with African nature.
