Efficiency and good comms
Had a great gorilla trek starting in Kigali and dropped off at Lake Bunyonyi. Our contact Richard was very responsive in planning the arrangements and the trip itself was great. Our guide was amazing and full of great information about Rwanda and Uganda and nature as well as sharing his own experiences -:thanks Medard. And the gorilla trek was out of this world, obviously!
Unforgettable Safari and Trekking Experience
I recently went on a fantastic safari, combined with gorilla and golden monkey trekking, and it was truly an unforgettable adventure. The entire trip was expertly organized by Richard, who ensured everything from permits to accommodations was seamless and stress-free. His attention to detail and thorough planning allowed me to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about any logistics.
A special mention goes to Medard, whose passion and dedication made the trip even more memorable. Medard was not only incredibly reliable and professional but also brought a genuine enthusiasm that enhanced every part of our journey. His deep knowledge of the wildlife, along with his friendly personality, made the time on the road enjoyable and educational. He was always on time, well-prepared, and made sure I was comfortable and safe throughout the trip.

A Wonderful and Engaging Experience
My daughter and I undertook a three day safari starting and finishing in Kigali, Rwanda. The trip was administered efficiently through email and WhatsApp. Our driver, Medard added to our enjoyment with his knowledgeable narative and engaging laugh.
A brief tour of Kigali included the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial and the National Genocide Meemorial. A sobering reminder of mans inhumanity.
Our Gorilla Trek took place in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. Here we were hosted in a community camp and took time to visit the pygmy community and hear about their lifestyle. The gorilla trek was amazing and the National Park staff were professional and knowledgeable. Much to her delight a juvenile gorilla ran up to my daughter and slapped her leg. Magic.
Our final day was spent visiting with Golden Monkeys in Rwanda before being dropped off at our hotel.
I can thoroughly recommend the trip we did. The gorilla experience in Uganda is simple but you feel a part of the gorilla ecosystem. A mistake I made was not having enough cash for tips. These are paid to porters (if you chose to take them), the guides and the cultural groups who perform for you. It is best to have them prepared in advance.
Overall we loved this trip, it will surely be a lifelong memory.

Great experience at Lake Mburo
We had a wonderful and very long day at Lake Mburo. Everything was very well organised. Sam is a very good and informative guide, a safe and experienced driver and we really enjoyed talking to him about Uganda's wonderful nature and so much more. Outstanding guide, highly recommended
Excellent experience. Julius was my private guide and was an excellent host. Very accommodating and we had many laughs together. The gorilla's in Bwindi were an absolute highlight! And the Golden Monkeys were fantastic too. Julius always made sure I was well looked after, feeding me more than I could possibly ever eat, driving out of his way to get medication for me and helping me get access to cash after my credit card was stolen in another country. Communication was excellent the entire way. Highly recommend Katsam Adventures

Responsive and Good
I booked with Katsam for our gorilla trekking experience in July; five months ahead. Richard was VERY responsive with all my questions--of which I had many. I could hug him for all the patience he showed me. I know I repeatedly asked him some of the same questions and every time he was kind and treated me as if it were my first time asking. I was so pleased with how quickly Richard answered all my questions and made the payments seem effortless. The drivers: Julius and Medard, were wonderful. They were well informed and punctual. Additionally, they were great fun as they picked up on my sense of humor and played along. These men went out of their ways to take us to a particular type of store. Additionally, they are good drivers. Feeling safe is a priority and I never doubted their skills once. Great experience. I wish I could do it again. This trip was one of the greatest trips of my lifetime and I've been to 160 countries. This is in my top five!

Fantastic
We used Katsam adventures for a 3 day tour of Rwanda (golden monkeys) and Uganda (gorilla trekking). The trip was everything we had hoped for and more. Our guide Medard was fantastic throughout the entire trip, nothing was too much for him. He was extremely knowledgable and informative and was able to answer any questions we had in extremely good English. I would definitely recommend both the company and Medard.
