Great 2 day Chimpanzee trekking tour!
5/5

We had an amazing 2 days with Emmanuel. The 2 day Chimpanzee trekking tour allows you to get a little of everything Rwanda has to offer from history, culture, business, and nature. Emmanuel took care of everything and was very knowledgeable and a safe driver. Highly recommend this tour and thus company.

A well organized, serious operator
5/5

Communications:
Initial response via SB was quick. Subsequent exchanges also quick.

Service:
Agreed times respected

Value for money:
These things cost, regardless of operator, what is for me a lot of money. That said when I considered the time and cost and aggravation of organizing and conducting such a tour independently, it seemed that I was paying a fairly reasonable premium for having everything taken care of for me. Having a driver who is familiar with the territory and the driving culture was much more efficient, and probably safer than me driving myself.

Tour:
My two days in Nyungwe were fantastic, I got to hike several trails and see the highlights. However, I must point out the value brought by my NH guide, Emanuel: He really took care of everything: Driving, finding good places to eat, knowing where to take good photos even spotting wildlife along the way. He was consistent and reliable throughout. Beyond that, he is an educated and thoughtful individual who was able to answer my many questions, without fail. He really made the trip for me.

10/10 experience, hospitality, knowledge
5/5

My brother and I visited Rwanda and went to Volcanoes National Park to see the mountain gorillas, spend a day in Kigali and do a day safari trip to Akagera National Park. New Horizon Africa Safaris did an incredible job being our drivers + tour guides for our entire 4 day trip.
The mountain gorillas were obviously incredible. A total bucket list item that everyone should experience once in their life! But our guides took our experience in Rwanda to the next level.
They were extremely kind and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our entire Rwanda experience even better than expected. From taking us to the best restaurants to try the local cuisine, to finding a fun banana beer making experience to showing us little hidden shops with well priced souvenirs, there isn't anything they couldn't do. Their hospitality and warmth is unmatched and they created such a memorable trip for us!
If you're thinking of visiting Rwanda, definitely reach out to new horizon. You will not be disappointed. I've been raving about Rwanda and this company nonstop to anyone who will listen <3
Thank you so much for an amazing trip :D

Amazing and very well organised trip
5/5

We took time out from our business trip to Kigali from UK to visit the gorillas.
The experience of booking the trek with New Horizons was made so easy with timely email replies from Emmanuel to answer all of our questions.
Emmanuel was a great guide arriving to collect us exactly when he said. We had interesting conversations about Rwanda and he answered lots of questions. We felt very safe travelling with him in spite of some demanding terrain to get to our trek starting point. The trek to the gorillas was amazing. A trip we will remember forever.
Thank you New Horizons.

Well informed and passionate tour guide of Rwanda
5/5

Great experience for a two-day tour around Volcanoes National Park (golden monkey trekking), Lake Kivu and Nyungwe National Park. Emmanuel was very organised which allowed the tour to go smoothly throughout. He was very knowledgeable about the country and provided ongoing explanations on the culture, history and geography of the country. It was good value for money given the amount of attractions we got to see across the whole country. I would recommend the tour provider to anyone visiting Rwanda!

The tour operators were very professional, friendly and organised and overcame every problem.
5/5

The operators were very responsive and the tour was very well organised with a very punctual pick-up at the hotel. My guide Werther was amazing. He overcame every obstacle that came up including a busted tire and a cancelled boat ride due to rain in Akagera National Park. He quickly found solutions and alternatives and I saw an elephant, a rhinoceros, lions and many more animals. I lost my voice at the beginning of the tour and my guide found a pharmacy and worked wonderfully around my inability to speak. I would definitely book with this company again.

End to end comprehensive trip
5/5

We did a 1 day trip to watch gorillas. Left in the night from kigali and stayed in a lodge near the base camp.

Next morning went for gorillas watching trip and returned back in the evening.

Thanks to our guide and tour operator and our brother emmanuel it was an amazing experience.

I have been to many safaris before in Kenya and South Africa but the detailed yet personalised trip was simply amazing.

We saw the gorillas from just a few feet distance and the trackers who were deployed for us were very comforting. Imagine watching a 200Kg+ gorilla in the wild from a few feet is once in a lifetime experience.

I would highly recommend our tour operator and specially Emmanuel

Local tour operator you can trust
5/5

Booked my trip to Uganda with New Horizons. Did Gorilla treks at Mgahinga Gorilla Park and Chimpanzee trekking at Kibale with intoduction to Rwanda through touring the city of Kigali . From initial communications with Emmanuel i was able to customize my trip with my preferences and budget and my guide Jack did a great job to drive me through the rough African Massage roads. I truly appreciate thraveling with local companies and guides and New Horizon were amazing. Cant recommend enough!

Unforgettable East African Tour Rwanda, Uganda , DRC and Burundi with the best ! New Horizon Africa
5/5

Unforgettable East African Tour
Rwanda, Uganda , DRC and Burundi

Rwanda
Our tour started in genocide museum which I thought “ this is gonna be an interesting tour “ depressing but needs to be brought up to avoid another genocide . Nicely done , it followed the inshuti Arts museum where they showcase local artist , interesting Kadt museum in which if the guide is not there it will be boring but he made it better it even includes reptiles seen locally , went to Nyamirambo Women Center where local women mostly single parent exhibit their talents of making baskets , hat, and a lot of handicraft. Milk bar store could be interesting but they don’t have a very friendly reception in that area, also visited Kimironko Market which is interesting and end the day I ask my guide if we can eat real Rwandan food not in the hotel and we end up going to this local street food area with music and people are dancing and having a good time . This is safe place to be .

Bunyoyi lake: boat ride to see birds and the boat guide told us about life of locals in the islands especially the punishment island . Interesting

Golden monkey Trekking : another bonus of coming to this countries are seeing the very cute , playful golden monkey eating bamboo , fern , plants and potatoes . Again trekkers and rangers are very helpful . I have to hire a personal porter to help me on hard surfaces up and down the mountain.

Gorilla Guardian Village for cultural experience was very beautiful which made me feel like I am part of the history and culture . We even did marriage reenactment which made my heart so full and gave me boost of energy after the hard trek. Ellen DeGeneres Campus of Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund is very enducational I wish I have more time to spend here . I have learn to do 5 sounds that Dianne Fosey mimicked the gorilla.

Uganda
Cofee experience from organic planting , drying, roasting to tasting . I even tried to do some of it
