Dishonest, manipulative, careless and impolite
We selected Silas based on 20 reviewed from Tripadvisor. That was a big mistake. Silas made us believe that our agreement would be honoured. Unfortunately, we spent most of the tour begging him to provide us what we agreed on. It never happened. Some of the planned activities were delayed until it was impossible to do. We paid for these activities but never received them. We almost missed the gorilla tracking activity.
Horrible experience with Silas. I will certainly report his unprofessional and dishonest activities to the authorities.
Beware of the tour operator. He will put you in positions to force you to pay twice for accommodations and activities . He will try to borrow money from you and you will hear about his banks blocking his accounts. Don’t trust or believe him. Silas does not represent Uganda tourism industry. He is a bad apply that should be removed from the box and thrown away.
Uganda is highly recommended as a destination but beware of the likes of Silas.

Posted on Mar 29, 2025We apologize for all inconvenience caused but with sadness, I wish to inform all reading our reviews that in as much as Ihab complains of bad service he was given all his activities as per the itinerary without any delays, I have all pictures for all particular activities. Ihab and the friend only missed out on rhino tracking which was meant to be done on their day of arrival however it wasn't my fault for they were delayed on the flight due to flight delays for over an hour and half. Then their came rain as we proceeded to the rhino area remember time is also kicking by now it was 5pm when i communicated to the authorities they sais we couldn't track thr Rhinos due to rain and time of which i still have the message from them too. During the trip after i never manipulated the itinerary they were all suggestions with inquiry from both parties before i could do anything, i recall when we adjusted the itinerary together both Ihab and Maya agreed we go to Kidepo and take off Lake bunyonyi since she was more interested in the animals even the hotel management was listening to the story when we adjusted everything and i advised both parties on the consequences and how best we could manage time if we went t kidepo which they agreed to. So reading the above review and without any remorse to appreciate what i did and kept you safe for 13 days and all am getting is blames yet we agreed to each and everything together is quite disturbing. Just to clarify Ihab broke my car window and didn't even say sorry but just said that maybe the window was too tired which was a complete disappointment to me no matter how much one is my client i think being remorseful after a bad act is fair or may be come up with a plan to fix my window would make sense to me, which never came through. Just to clarify i had to replace the window and its frame costing me over $370. Also to be clear, i didn't ferry any people around with my clients as Ihab alleges without their consent for it happened twice and this was hotel management sometimes asking to be dropped off from the park but i always asked for permission before anyone sat in the car. There's no single activity they did while on pressure all activities were done on time. If am liable to any refunds it should be only $400 for all the other things were covered. But to be fair i balanced it off with my window repair since i didn't hear any word from Ihab in regard to repairing my car window. The car we used was completely safe and the small hitches we got were fixed and never caused any unsafe or untimely miss out on an activity. I just completed another trip for 12 days around Uganda with a canadian family and they were fully satisfied. I think if i was a thief and unrelaible as you say i wouldn't hhave gathered the previous reviews and business i haave done am very sad that this is my only and first bad review i have gotten of which whatever happened because of my making. I have witnessed guides who run away from clients after using their money and not giving them any service first of all being appreciative for the services provided would have been great then you could mention what you didn't do rather hypothetical and critizing only the bad and not talking about the good you did or saw, you need to balance your review Ihab otherwise i will say the same thing i told you before i am not bad all it takes is amicable negotiation to find a solution rather than being a critic and not even appreciating the nice moments you had. i have refunded clients before much much more than the $400 i should have refunded then and clients always happy and write good about my services for i know what am doing in this industry and am determined to grow every day. in regard to hotels you guys only missed out on 2 lodges of which i also warned you guys about this but you two insisted and said everything was fine by you though i also made sure i found you relevant and safe lodges to stay. I will conclude by saying am sorry for the bad moments that happened however am so grateful for the 13 days i spent with you guys and making sure i went through tireless moments to make sure you returned to the airport safely without me ditching on you for that's not my way of handling challenges i don't run but instead find amicable ways to solve them.
That's why even the police asked if indeed I was a bad person's as you said then how come I returned you safely to the airport.
Lastly I will advise you to always listen to your guide rather than having a hypothetical way of doing things because you think you know more than us who live here.

Horrible tour operator silas be aware
BE AWARE!!!!! Horrible experience with this agency Silas. in SUMMARY
1. He took more than $1000 extra from us than what we agreed upon arrival.
2. He downgraded our hotels
3. Continued lying about many things including rturning our money
4. Car broke down more than 3 times when we were there and we had to wait in the heat. Also window broke and we suffered throughout with a black cover and cant open it.
5. He pretends to be someone he is NOT. decieving and lies and shows a different side that is charming and funny BE CAREFUL
6. played a whole trick on us to change one item in the itenary inorder to cancel and downgrade hotels and pocket the money.
Dont let him decieve you with his answers. We filed a POLICE reporton him upon our departure.
This person should be stripped from his license and not be able to do tours anymore due to his deception to tourists. USE A DIFFERENT AGENcy THAN SILAS.
Uganda is a beautiful place if it wasnt for people like him.
