Fantastic Experience in Kenya
---Short version---
We did a nine-day private safari in Kenya and a one-day Nairobi tour organized by Monkey Adventures. We enjoyed every second of it and we are as satisfied as we can be. We totally recommend Monkey Adventures for their kind and professional staff, their flexibility, their punctuality, and their good prices.
---Long Version---
Planning Phase:
After sending the first inquiry, we received a reply very quickly from Arvind. He was a tour consultant at Monkey Adventures who helped us to plan the tour. The whole process took place via emails. The response time was low and some days we exchanged several emails. The planning was exactly as I wanted to be. The itinerary was flexible and up to us and Arvind provided us with the necessary recommendations regarding the order, the number of nights at each national park, etc. For choosing the accommodations, they provided us with several options. We were also free to choose any other camps, lodges, and hotels that we wanted. Generally, it was a smooth process and I was very satisfied with the resulting plan.
After finalizing the itinerary, we were communicating with Nyani. We paid the initial 30% and were about to pay the rest one month before the tour starts. Our tour was half in Kenya and half in Tanzania but unfortunately, our Tanzanian visa got rejected due to a new rule which we were not aware of. Monkey Adventures provided us with invitation letters and also tried to help us with our visa application from their Tanzanian office. Nothing worked out. Less than a week before our tour starts we had to cancel the Tanzanian part of our tour. Again Monkey Adventures helped us to extend our Kenyan part with three more days.
Safari Phase:
We met Fauziah from Monkey Adventures office and Richard our safari guide on the morning of the first day of our tour at the hotel we were staying in Nairobi. After finalizing the payment and having a short briefing session we hit the road with Richard. Richard was very experienced. He was very cool and patient and easy to communicate with and passionate about what he was doing and knowledgable about the wildlife of Kenya. We enjoyed the entire nine days that we were with Richard going to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, Tsavo east and Tsavo west.
Beach Phase:
Richard dropped us at our hotel in Mombasa on the last day of safari. We planned the beach phase ourself without Monkey Adventures but if I would do that again I would ask them to plan this part too. We only asked Fauziah to plan our trip from Mombasa to Nairobi. She and also Richard recommended us to take the train. We accepted and we are happy with this decision. Fauziah arranged a ride from our hotel to the train station in Mombasa. She bought us the train tickets and arranged a ride from the train station in Nairobi to our hotel. Everything went as planned. The cars were nice and the train was as comfortable as they already told us. Fauziah was so caring that she called the drivers to check if everything was fine.
Nairobi day-tour:
The next day Sami (sorry if the spelling is not correct!) from Monkey Adventures came to our hotel and picked us up for the Nairobi day tour. He was a very calm and nice guy. He helped us to plan the day based on our limited time. We enjoyed the day and he dropped us at the airport in the end. Fauziah called us to get a feedback of the whole experience. We flew back home with lots of awesome memories of Kenya, friendly and kind Kenyan people, and their amazing wildlife.
Thank you Arvind, Nyani, Fauziah, Richard, Sami and the rest of the Monkey Adventures team that made this possible!

Great Experience!
I got to know about Monkey Adventures while I was searching for options for my Tanzania safari on the internet. We reached out to many providers and Monkey were the fastest to respond to all our queries. We did some research about them before we proceeded with them. They are a fairly young company and their packages are among the lowest priced when compared to other operators. But since we found a lot of good reviews about them on TripAdvisor we decided to proceed with them.
Arvind was the one who communicated with us from the start, and he was very helpful in answering all our questions. He gave us useful information about which parks would be the best to visit and the right places to stay. We had various options under different price ranges that we could choose from. We ended up going to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire for 6 days safari.
Our guide for the safari was Reggie Junior. He had great driving skills and showed us a lot of animals. He shared a lot of information about the national parks and wildlife and the history of the region. He is a young guide, but had a lot of experience, as seen from his skill. He communicated very well, shared jokes and made us feel at home at all times. The accommodations suggested by Nyani were Tukaone camps at Central Serengeti, Tortilis at Ngorongoro and Angata camp at Tarangire. All of them were great in their own way. At Tukaone we heard the sounds of lions and hyenas throughout the night and it was thrilling. Food was excellent at Tortilis. Angata camps had very good tents and great location in the middle of Tarangire.
About the parks, we really loved Serengeti and Tarangire. They were both very big parks with lot of wildlife diversity and numbers. While Ngorongoro had amazing concentration of animals, there were too many tourists and it’s a very small park.
We would highly recommend Monkey Adventures and will use their services again next time when we hopefully return back to East Africa for Gorilla tracking!

Saw more animals than I could imagine!!
Monkey Adventures was a great company to travel with. From the start of the research process for our Tanzania safari, Monkey Adventures consultants were prompt, detailed & very helpful with their responses. They were also patient while waiting for our responses and didn’t push us to make a quick decision like some of the other operators we were communicating with.
Our safari driver, Reggie, picked us up on scheduled time at 8:00 a.m. after our briefing by a representative of Monkey Adventures. We stopped by a nice grocery shop on our way out of Arusha so that we could get snacks and beverages. Reggie was patient in answering our hundreds of questions and stopped wherever we wanted to observe the animals and take pics. He has a sharp eye and could spot animals from great distances. We saw 4 of the Big Five in first 2 days and saw some pretty amazing scenes like a lion stalking a herd of Zebras, Migrating wildebeest herds, Cheetah with its cubs, elephants, giraffes, hippos and several other sightings...Reggie became a friend and I don't think we could have had a better guide.
Tukaone Camp in Serengeti and Sopa Lodge on Ngorongoro Crater rim were both superb places to stay on our safari. Monkey Adventures did a good job in choosing them for us. We were sorry to only have only 2 nights in Serengeti and one night at crater rim. We could have easily stayed for 2 more nights at Serengeti and one more night at crater rim.
Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this company and our guide, Reggie. After months of research on various companies, I chose Monkey Adventures based on their quick responses and their thorough explanation of everything we asked about. I was slightly worried at one point because they were also the cheapest priced but they exceeded all our expectations.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Great experience
We had a 7 days safari in Tanzania in Aug 24. From the very beginning I really enjoyed Monkey Adventures: the booking process was easy and clear and we received several options to choose from. We received all the information we needed (emails and guidelines were completed and crystal clear).
The day we arrived in Tanzania we had a 30min briefing to be prepared for the safari. Accommodations were all very good; I must say that they all overcome my expectations as we opted for what we thought were budget solutions but they resulted to be very nice, very clean and comfortable. Tasty meals (side note: I'm allergic to diary and I had never troubles to get proper meals). The guide we had was very experienced and we saw a lot of animals. We really enjoyed the experience. Really pleasant also the trip to Materuni Falls and coffee plantation on the last day.
Great value for money.
We definetly will be contacting Monkey_adventures_africa again if we have the opportunity to travel in the countries they operate.
Efficient, responsive, pleasant.
We had an amazing safari. We had some questions to clear mid Safari and they were extremely responsive and ensured for a very pleasant few days. They chose a good tour guide for us to work with and organised everything excellently at very short notice. Highly recommend!
