Safari - Once in a lifetime worth doing it!
We were a group of 7 people from Romania and have searched a lot for choosing a safari company and we made the right choice. Khalanga Safaris has done a great job, Shoes was a great guide and company, cooking and sharing with us all we needed to know about the safari. It was very important for us that Shoes was local and he knew all the insights, we wanted to experience the original safari, sleeping in the camp and Johanna and Shoes explained it all beforehand. We booked everything before flying to South Africa so we were a bit nervous as we did not know what to expect, but Johanna took great care of us and she was writing WhatsApp messages even at 22 at night to make sure everything is well planned.
Great experience and value for money and we would certainly choose them again if we were to do it again. Thanks a lot Khalanga Safaris! We will not forget our first safari experience with you!

Expert and fun
Starting in the central Kruger we travelled all the way to the north and experienced the baobabs and forested areas, then travelled all the way to the south and experienced the mountains of the South. Over the ten days in the park Shoes managed to find everything and more we could have hoped for. we stayed in a different camp every night with Berg en Dal being a great way to end the trip. Cant wait to go back

Khalanga is full of excellent knowledge of the bush.
We have used Khalanga for our overseas clients for many years, when they are going on Game drives in Kruger. They always come back to our lodge full of wonderful experiences after the drives.
Mr. Shoes is full of knowledge. He can tell you everything you want to know. That is knowledge about a tiny ant, plants, trees, birds and of course all the game.

Shoe is great person, dedicated to what he is doing.
It was a perfect day exploring the Kruger National Park with Shoes from Khalanga Safari,
who was born inside the Kruger and raised in the same Kindergarden where all animals have their kids.
He speeks their language, knows the best places and with all his knowledge about the enviornment,
he made this experience to an unforgatbale meet and greet with the "big boys and girls" :) his family and friends.
Thank you Shoes for all your time.
Very Respectfully, Aron
Extremely charismatic and passionate about his job
It was such a great experience, Best game drive tour so far, Mr.Shoes is extremely passionate about his job,
He explains very well everything you need to know about the animals and likes to respect their habitat, he is very patient with his customers and is willing to help you find the best places to take pictures of the wildlife.
Definetly worth the value for the money. I highly recommend.

Round transfer from Hoedspruit to Polokwane and back. Enjoyable, safe, good conversation and prompt
The communication was excellent and interesting and informative. John was born in the Timbavati and his knowledge of the Tsonga culture was interesting. Our conversation made the trip go all too quickly. The service was excellent; the vehicle was clean and he was sensitive to our personal needs along the way. The transfer surpassed our expectations and we will use Khalanga again. Also we look forward to taking a trip with him in the Kruger as soon as this is possible for us.

Best Safari ever!
We had amazing two days with Shoes. He picked us up early in the morning and we spent two whole days with him. The first day was very hot (over 42 degrees) but he still managed to show us lots of animals.
It was incredible to see all the wild animals so close. It very interesting to listen to Shoes as he knows everything about the park and the animals. He was able to answer all the questions we had. He's really good in spotting all the animals. We were really happy to see all the different kinds of animals (also the small ones like birds, lizards, dassis,...).
We made breaks for breakfast and lunch and he always made sure to show us the best. Because of him we tried a local speciality called PAP and we loved it.
Also the booking was very easy and Johanna informed us about everything. Thanks to Shoes & Johanna for the great time we spent in Kruger National Park.

Relaxed tour through infinite Kruger
Our Guide Shoes met us on time at 06:00 in our lodge. After "imigration" formalities at Kruger Gate, Shoes let us participate of his enormous knowledge of all what has to do with Kruger: plants, animals, enviroment. We booked a "private tour" (three persons) and enjoyed every minute on this 200 km trip through pure nature. Khalanga Safaris with his owner Shoes is probably the best address for a breathtaking tour.

Khangeli Safaris was so much better than expected
A thrilling three night adventure to a secluded location in Hwange National Park. Mike Scott and crew provided a wonderful personalized experience for the two of us overlooking a river filled with Hippos and close to the territories of two adult male lions. Khangela safaris is highly recommended. Our chemistry with Mike Scott, Heather, and Barnard was top notch and we enjoyed sitting around the fire after dinner laughing and sharing as much as we enjoyed travelling around just a small part of this huge park. We saw alot! There were some mixed emotions as there was one of the worst droughts of the century and sad to see several dead elephants but this too is part of nature and yet it was balanced with seeing several lions, huge herds of zebra and cape buffalos, the yawning of hippos in the river, and the beginning of rains filling in empty river beds. Almost immediately after the first rains, the leaves began to appear on the mopane trees. Lots of birds, and rare sitings of a tortoise and rock hyrexes. We were truly the visitors within a pristine campground and everything is environmentally sustainable leaving no footprint that we were ever there. The safari was the highlight of our trip to Victoria Falls environs and then to Ethiopia... We did also spent a day at Chobe National Park in Botswana that allowed us and tens of others to see many elephants both on land and from the water. But, we will always cherish our special days of just the two of us with Khangela Safaris that have left us with many memories and fantastic photographs. It was exhilirating, it was fun, it was so so much better than we could ever expect. Kudos to Khangela for making our visit top notch.

Fantastic guide, stunning wildlife, trip of a lifetime!
My wife and I booked a 7-day safari in Kruger with Khalanga, after reviewing options with a number of tour operators. While others had fixed itineraries which they were not willing to modify at all, Khalanga tailored everything to suit our schedule, including pick-up and drop-off points at the start and end of our tour. Being our first trip to Africa, we asked lots of questions before we booked. No problem. Support from their office was friendly, fast, and very thorough. After describing our fuzzy concept of an ideal trip, they proposed a detailed daily itinerary that went beyond our expectations. Every detail was presented, from where we would stay each night, where we would have meals (including many prepared by our guide, Shoes), to how long we would be on the road each day, to an astoundingly accurate list of what we would likely see. Like everyone, we certainly wanted to see the "big animals." But we are also birdwatchers, and wanted to spend time slowly appreciating and photographing the bird life. Shoes was the perfect guide for both. He got us close to breathtaking wildlife, but we always felt safe in his care. He was always patient with us, and he is friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about what we were seeing. We also appreciated that he is an excellent expert on the bird life, showing us well over 100 species. I've taken guided tours on every continent except Antarctica. Shoes was far and above THE BEST guide I have ever had anywhere. It sounds cliche, but we had the trip of a lifetime! And the price was extremely reasonable, particularly considering our desire for "something different" from the normal safari. I have recommended Khalanga to many friends since our return, and if we ever get back to South Africa they will be the first folks we contact. Thank you, Shoes and Khalanga!
