The journey of a lifetime
5/5

We found some “advantageous” airline tickets and decided to buy them, somewhat blindly. We still did not know what Uganda would have in store for us, nor that welcoming us would be the best guide of all, Matsiko Confidence, head of “Confidence Africa Tours.”
Already several months before, we had several meetings by video call to resolve any doubts and better understand the itinerary, which little by little was outlined right along with him, following his advice but above all noticing that all our proposals were being taken into consideration, so as to offer us the best possible experience.

We toured about 3000 km in 15 days (from December 23rd 2024 to January 6th 2025), starting from Entebbe and ending our trip exactly there, always guided by Matsiko and his Land Cruiser Extended (8 seats total) passing through: Sipi Falls, Kidepo National Park, Murchison Falls, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale and Bwindi. There was no shortage of experiences: from the beauty of Sipi Falls, to the power of Murchison Falls, and a myriad of animals: in addition to the classic “Big 5,” which were seen thanks to the different safaris, there was the opportunity to see chimpanzees (Kibale Forest), but especially the Gorillas, the highlight of the whole trip (Bwindi impenetrable forest).

Our company of 6 people was certainly not the easiest: some with binoculars, some with a camera, some with a drone, and some with a 360° camera, so the requests made to Matsiko were the most varied so that we could try to capture the beauty of Uganda from all possible angles; the guide was always helpful, giving us the opportunity to collect incredible photos and videos, and letting us immerse ourselves in unforgettable experiences.

There was also no shortage of encounters with local communities (in particular, a coffee-producing community in the Sipi Falls area), as well as stops in the middle of town, where there is a chance to breathe in the teeming rural Ugandan life.

If you are thinking of taking a trip to Uganda and have no idea how to do it, or where to start, the best choice you could make is to contact Confidence Africa Tours, which will certainly make for an unforgettable trip.
