Excellent 3 Day Mount Meru Trek
our three day Trek to Mount Meru with African Wanderlust was a memorable experience.
Everyone was very accommodating, friendly and assisted us through the entire trip. The meals were excellent and the trip wonderfully organised. The hike up to the summit is definitely not one of the easiest ones however the guides are very professional, taking good care of you and support you where they can. My husband faced some challenges during the summit night due to health problems, but the team assigned someone to ensure he safely reached the summit.
During briefing we noted to have missed some of the hiking gears but Robert rented to us for a friendly costs.
The service you get for the price is excellent and definitely worth the money. We are very grateful to have met you and to have shared lots of funny stories. Special thanks to the entire Trekking team.

A lifetime Tanzania trip with Robert and African Wanderlust Adventures team
If you’re thinking of booking a safari and Trek with African Wanderlust adventure, don’t hesitate, just do it! We were a group of 7 made up of 2 families with ages ranging from 18 to 50s. Our 14-day trip in Tanzania started with 7 day Kilimanjaro Trek and took us to the summit of Kilimanjaro following machame route. Then a 5-day Tented Lodge safaris – we really packed it in! The experience was exceptional from start to finish and reading other reviews it’s obvious that Robert works hard to maintain a consistency of excellence. As a Tour operator, Robert is so impressive, always responding to our need in favor of our interests. The Guide, Daniel as our leader during Kilimanjaro did an amazing job, motivating, supporting and always ensured we were all fit and ready for the next day, not to mention the cheerful compassionate crew and the cook.
During safaris we had another amazing safari guide Joseph. He has an innate love of wildlife and the bush. He has many years of knowledge and experience in tracking animals and is persistent, yet always very respectful of the animals. We always felt in safe hands with Joseph and we always felt that having him as our guide meant we saw the most game!
We booked the Authentic option, in luxury accommodations with real beds. The service from the places we spent our night was exceptional, with welcoming and caring staffs.
It’s hard to pick highlights as every day brought something new. But I will always remember the leopards mating in Serengeti, millions of Wildebeest scattered in the Ndutu plains and watching a lioness hunting to catch its prey in the afternoon game drive in Ngorongoro Crater.
Top tips would be to invest in a good pair of binoculars, and remember your bug spray, warm clothes, Imodium and of course a camera.

Great hiking experience with a devoted and extremely reliable organisation
We spent four days hiking with Robert Dimbo and his guides. The first day was a 4 hour hike to the Meru falls, going back to Arusha at night. The next three days we went up Mount Meru.
Both trips were perfectly organised, with Robert and the guide coming to the hotel the evening before in order to discuss the hike planned for the next day. Especially for the Mount Mery hike this was necessary, because we didn't have the right clothes. We had set off with the European long distance hikes in mind, but on the top of Mount Meru it is freezing and often windy, so one really needs more to be dressed in the style of a Himalaya trekking. But no worries, Robert and the guide checked all our clothes and the next day they took us to a place where we could rent the missing equipment before setting off.
For this kind of trips, a lot more people are involved than what one is used to in Europe, but it is also necessary. For our family of 4, we had 8 porters, 2 guides, a cook and the first two days an ranger from the park. Thanks to this crew, we had great meals during the trip. All these people did everything possible to make it a great experience. Bear in mind to bring enough cash for all the tips, but they are definitely worth it.
Robert himself is a good organisator and a very reliable man, and I was especially pleased to see how he treats all his people with respect. This was a far more authentic experience than watching Masai dancing for tourists in their village.
For the hike itself, make sure you are fit. With my 55 years and average condition, I only made it to the second hut. I stayed there while the rest of the family made the steep night walk to the top. Nevertheless, it is a memorable experience.

Amazing and worth the money!
Robert and his team did a fantastic job in organising our 3-day safari. It was so well organised that we had zero waiting time and really got the maximum out of the money spent. Further, the safari guide was so welcoming, open for detailed talks & questions about the wildlife and was highly motivated to show us all of the animals in the Serengeti & Ngorongoro which in the end was the reason why we could see all of the Big 5.
Also, our Tour to the Materuni Waterfalls with Robert & the driver (Elvis) after the Safari was fantastic. Meeting the local people and making coffee with them was a unique experience! And of course the waterfall and the hike to it were really amazing. I’ve already seen some waterfalls in the world but this one was really special and so untouched. Highly recommended!
We highly recommend the team and are surely going to book again with Robert when we are heading for the summit of the Kilimanjaro :)

unforgettable experience
The tour was perfectly organized. Our guide was awesome -- takes his time to explain, answers questions and helped us take a number of memorable pictures. The meals also was great. I really recommend anyone to take this tour, really an unforgettable experience.

Good budget tour
It was a good trip. I really enjoyed climbing Mt Kilimanjaro. I felt nervous booking this trip because they are a small newer company but fortunately I didn't have to worry about anything. Communication was good, and even though I didn't have all the gear, my guide was able to work with me on getting what I need, and not try and upsell me on stuff I didn't. Over all it was a great trip, and I would recommend them for anybody who wants to climb Mt Kilimanjaro.

well worth the money - saw tons of animals on 3 day safari!
Robert was super accommodating and very helpful in giving me all the relevant details for the trip.. he wanted to make sure everything ran smoothly and even went out of his way to meet me before and after the trip to make sure everything went accordingly. He was interested in how to improve.
The safari was well worth the money considering the costs involved in organising park access, food, accommodation and transportation. I did the 3 day safari to Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara and saw tons of beautiful scenery and animals! It was in January so everything was lush and green. I had a great stay at Panorama campsite at Lake Manyara and met lots of other solo travellers there too! Would definitely recommend Robert and his team!

Good prices, pleasant experience
We went for a day trip to tarangire park during our visit in Arusha. This company is fairly priced and we really appreciated the way Robert interacted with us.
He responded quickly and respectfully to our questions during the inquiry process, unlike some big names.
He was able to accommodate us very last minute and came pick us up the very next morning without any problem.
In the park, we were able to see lots of animals, elephant of course, zebras and even lions, which is a rare occurrence in tarangire park from what we were told back at our hotel.
Our guide communicate with other guides through the whole trip, ensuring we saw as much animals as possible. The lunch box provided was fine, nothing too fancy but does the job.
Overall we really enjoyed this short trip and recommend this company without hesitation.

Fair price, great fun - amazing experience!
Communication with Robert by whatsapp was easy. Pickups were all on time. The whole crew were friendly, fun and great at their jobs!
Food was tasty and varied thanks to Mositi and there was always plenty. Jonas our guide made sure we saw everything and more somehow, thanks mate!
I'd definitely reccommend and go again!
