Amazing Experience with Almighty Kilimanjaro
I had contacted several other tour operators who either didn't reply or couldn't offer what I wanted, and so luckily the manager of my hotel recommended Almighty Kilimanjaro at the last minute.
When I met my guide I knew it would be a great 6 days.
I had not thought about having a private tour before, mostly as I assumed it would be too expensive for a solo traveller, but it turned out to be similarly priced and the best choice I could have made.
I spent 3 nights at the Octagon Lodge in Karatu, and 2 nights at Green Hills in Serengeti, travelling to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
The accommodations weren't luxurious, but had good food and lovely staff and were fitting for a Safari adventure. The lunch boxes each day had enough food to keep me satisfied and Frank helped me to locate my favourite drink to accompany it.
Even though I chose a pretty standard itinerary which we stuck to, Frank made it feel like a special tour created just for me.
We saw all the birds, animals and locations I'd wanted to see and Frank remembered the things I liked and took me to them or pointed them out for me.
Frank knowledge, interest and caring made a great tour fantastic and I am going to go back for a different one next month.

Incredible experience with a very friendly and a well equipped company
We flew-in on Arusha, without much planning ahead, like always, we trust things will be fine once you meet the right local people. In our case Saidy. And it was indeed sorted within 30 minutes, right at the hotel. We could jump in a Landcruiser the following morning! We were lucky, we had a private safari (not in a group) which can be fun too, but with just a driver and cook and the 2 of us, you're just more flexible. We were accompanied by a Stanley (driver and guide) a great friendly giant, funny and knowledgeable about all animals around us, always happy to make that extra mile for a better shot. But he was also a mechanic - which gave us a comfortable feeling when we had to change a tire. And a cook (Vale) who cooked us 3 meals a day, early morning, late at night, always fresh and tasty! First to Tarangire, right at the start we already met a group of elephants, giraffes, monkeys, gnoes and other wildlife. Slept on a beautiful spot (!) on top of a valley, the sunrize was epic. Next day a long drive all the way up north-west to Serengeti where literally stumbled over all wildlife you can image. For 2 days we sept in a simple - but perfect tent at a (primitive) campsite. All you need is there, but you are in the bush, so no fancy stuff. Early bed, lost of animals and unfamiliar sounds around you, loved it. Early days, breakfast and started the game drives at 7:30/8. After the 2 day game drive with the (open rooftop land cruiser) back south to Ngorongoro crater, where we also spend a night. We've seen all wildlife we hoped to see, some very close (lions and cheetah next to the care) hippos in a pool and even rhinos from a distance. Special thanks to Stanley and Vale who made the trip a life time experience! Thanks Saidy for arranging everything, end to end to our satisfaction!

An unforgettable feat with an amazing team
Almighty Kilimanjaro took very good care of us from the airport pickup to the top of Kilimanjaro and back. We did the 7-day machame climb. Our guides Patric and Tom were fun and professional. They went over and above to always made sure that we were comfortable and kept a steady pace during the trek. Our waiter Swalehe was attentive and accommodated our every request.
The tents were of good quality and we had a small seating area with a table inside filled with condiments. We thought we'd be sleeping on a thin camping mat so were surprised to be sleeping on a clean and comfortable mattress every night.
The food was great and plentiful we could never finish it. Expect lots of porridge, french toast and omelette for breakfast, local stews, spaghetti bolognese, and chicken, fries and salads. Our chef Dastan would always check in every night to see how we were feeling and alter the menu slightly to suit our stomachs. If you have any dietary requirements be specific about them from the start. Don't be surprised by the number of porters... for 2 pax you'll typically get; 2 guides, a waiter, a chef and around 7 porters.
The hotel before and after the trek was comfortable and has a great restaurant and pool area with a supermarket to buy snacks a 2 minute walk away.
All in all doing the trek with Almighty Kilimanjaro was a great experience and we would highly recommend this company to get you to the roof of Africa.

A choice you need to make for unforgettable kilimanjaro
Had hard time deciding which company to choose to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, finally opted for Almighty Kilimanjaro for our 8-day/7night Kilimanjaro hike up the Lemosho route. Price was acceptable - midrange- and e-mail communication with Rasheedy(owner) clear and professional. After actual arrival to Tanzania, everything they promised they delivered, from pick up at the airport, through accommodation, to the actual climb. Each team of people was very friendly, very nice, very reliable, very professional and VERY experienced.
I cannot say enough good things about our Kili guides Joseph, Petro, Tomas and Daniel they were brilliant. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were incredibly caring about our wellbeing and very quick to jump in and help with any problems that we had. They also never complained about the number of toilet stops a group of 8 women needed....especially when some of us were on diamox! The entire team was incredibly well organized and we couldn't have hoped for a better group of people to help us make it up the mountain. Our cooks were great and fed us incredible food the entire way - doing a fantastic job of dealing with a number of food allergies along the way. Our servers could not have been better and we will all be forever grateful for the daily bed tea and warm washing water. Our water boy Swalehe did a fantastic job keeping us all hydrated and we all loved seeing his incredible smile every meal time.
With the majority of our group being Russian, we spent a lot of time talking to our fellow trekkers. In doing this we managed to talk to other trekkers about their teams and we quickly learnt that the Almighty Kilimanjaro was far better than many of the other companies. The fact that a mess tent was set up for virtually every meal and a hot meal provided was a real bonus - especially as we watched our fellow travelers eat cold toasted sandwiches perched on a rock in icy conditions. The fact that the guides kept our group together, walking at a slow but consistent pace with one guide at the front and another at the rear also helped us achieve our goal....whilst we watched other groups walk along with no guides in sight (these same groups unsurprisingly failed to summit). On a daily basis our porters would come and greet us, take our day packs from us and lead us to our tents....these simple things meant a lot to the tired and sore trekkers. To summarize, Almighty Kilimanjaro had exceeded our expectations in every respect.
Absolutely, loved our holiday...thanks again Almighty Kilimanjaro.

Absolutely perfect
We climbed Kilimanjaro with Almighty Kilimanjaro (and reached Uhuru Peak at 6:40am on 10/11/2019!)
We were initially apprehensive booking with Almighty Kilimanjaro as they seemed to be a relatively new company with little information or reviews online. We chose the Lemosho 8 day route which was very reasonably priced and included a night in a hotel before and after the trip.
The night before the start the team met us at our hotel to go through the trip and answer any questions we had, as well as check that we had all the necessary equipment. Any nerves we had were immediately dissipated as they were friendly, helpful and obviously had a lot of experience in climbing Kili. We all immediately felt safe and confident that we would be well looked after. We didn't have all of the items that we needed but we were easily able to hire anything we needed from their office.
We took Diamox during the whole 8 day trip which is very cheap and readily available in all the pharmacies in Moshi.
For the trip we had 14 porters and a cook (which seemed excessive for 4 of us, but believe me you'll be thankful for each and every one of them by the end of the trip!). We also had two guides, Innocent and Emanuel, who were such great fun and true friends by the end of the trip. They were experts on the mountain and we never felt unsafe with them.
I can't begin to explain the standard of service we received from every porter. Every morning we would wake to warm water to wash with and then sit down to a fully laid table overlooking the mountain complete with tablecloth, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, toast, porridge, eggs, sausages, ketchup, chilli sauce .... even toothpicks! Whilst we were eating our water bottles were filled with boiled drinking water.
The Lemosho route is very short for the first 4 days and so we would reach the next camp in time for lunch. When we arrived our tents were already pitched with our bags inside and there would be hot drinks, popcorn and biscuits waiting for us. Lunch would be soup to start, with a main (usually rice/pasta with a sauce) plus fruit or something similar for dessert. One of the group is coeliac (so gluten free) and we never had a problem with any of the food - there was without fail always a gluten free option. We all love spicy food and so as a joke we asked if there was any fresh chilli available - 10 minutes later a bowl of freshly made delicious chilli appeared! To reiterate how high the standards were, I saw the team wiping down all the coffee pots, cutlery and glasses before laying the table to make sure it was spotless!
Summit night was very hard, being cold, dark, relentless and altitude sickness kicking in! But thanks to our guides we made it right to the top and have memories that we will never forget.
All the porters were so friendly, they would take us for walks around the camps in the afternoons and help us in whatever way they could. We were truly sad to say goodbye to them all at the end of the trip.
We could not recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro any higher. They are fun, friendly, accommodating and most importantly safe. We've come away with memories and stories to last a lifetime. Thank you Almighty Kilimanjaro

Excellent Kilimanjaro climb
Almighty Kilimanjaro has exceeded my expectations. Beginning with Rasheedy whom i have been communicating and attended to my several requests. We had the most amazing experience with them starting with our two knowledgeable and caring guides, Mushi and Juma. Mushi came prior to the trip to brief and check our gears to ensure we have proper equipments. First day we were greeted by a bunch of enthusiastic team. Mushi kept checking if we were okay daily and constantly offered to help me and checking on our conditions. He gave us valuable advise for this successful and memorable hike. Meals are delicious, nutritious and comforting for those tiring and cold chilly nights. The soups made by Chef Adam is delicious!!! The rest of the dedicated porters were caring, friendly, efficient and hardworking bunch. This experienced is unforgettable and with dedication and assistance from Almighty Kilimanjaro Kilimanjaro, we have made it to Africa's highest peak. I would highly recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro and Chief guide Mushi if you want a successful and enjoyable hike
Once in a lifetime experience
Our Safari tour in the Serengeti was one of the most amazing experiences we have had in our life. It would not have happened without Almighty Kilimanjaro. They organized most memorable trip for us which surpassed all our expectations.
Our tour guide Bernad was absolutely wonderful, he is a very experienced, professional, and reliable person. He is someone you can trust, great driver with an excellent eye for spotting and finding animals in the wild.
We got to see breathtaking wildlife scenes and animals - lioness with three cubs eating their pray, elephants protecting their young ones from lions, wildebeest crossing Mara river, pride of six lions moving past our car early morning on their way to hunt...We also saw rhinos, massive crocodiles and hippos.
Thanks again Bernad for perfect trip!
I would definitely recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro to everyone planning to do Safari in Tanzania and we will for sure use them again in the future
Thank you Rasheedy for your professionalism, great responsiveness and organization of our tailor made tour from Zanzibar

Amazing adventure to the roof of Africa
We are a group of 'trekkie friends' from Germany and Canada. Our age range from 46 to 71. This is my 2nd trekking trip with Almighty Kilimanjaro. It is the 1st trip for my 12 friends.
We did a customized trek pkg of the above routes for our group of 'not young' trekkers hoping to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and each with dreams to fulfill.
We are all very pleased with the services from Almighty Kilimanjaro - from the way Rasheedy handles our many requests, fears etc to the care and love we received from the team of 1 chief guide, 5 assistant guides, 2 cooks, 2 servers and 46 porters. It was an unforgettable trip and all of us (& other trekkie friends) are still talking about the trip. Some of us are thinking of doing another climb of Mt Kilimanjaro in 3 years' time.
Augustino, our chief guide, is 2nd to none, in our opinion. I have been trekking for 16 years in many countries including high altitude mountains, and I am now 64 years old. I have not found a more caring guide, who not only went the 3rd & 4th mile to look out for all of us & make our dreams come true, but who also showed care to his team and I can see they respected him. I called him 'my friend'.
Juma - a very experienced guide, who has all the knowledge and know exactly what to do, and one we feel we can trust. One of our friends call him 'kaka'.
Saidy - solid and steady young man/guide, who knows how to encourage and pace us during the trek. We feel very safe and assured with him.
Sembe - ever ready and willing to help ... even trying to help my friend & I (holding each one of us with his 2 hands) down the crater slope in the night. Most guides will just lead one, but he tries harder when he knows there are not enough helpers. Together with one of our friends, they both kept us singing and playing along the treks and gave us many happy moments.
Musa - an experienced guide, who took very good care of one of our friends when she had to descend the mountain on summit night. He went the extra mile to ensure she is taken care of when she is alone in Moshi, waiting for us to return.
Pendael - another young guide who took excellent care of 2 of our friends when they had to descend the mountain mid way through summit night. He ensured their safety etc and get them to hotel in Moshi where they met our other friend.
Joshua - a very enthusiastic & helpful young porter, who in our opinion can be a good guide too, with the appropriate training. We noticed he would run to us after he offloaded his stuff at camp, to help guide us and carry our backpacks. Even on the night when we had to descend to crater camp after summiting Uhuru Peak, we see him running up the loose slope to help one of our friends all the way down to crater camp. Very impressed with him.
Excellent cooks in Damian and Mushi too. Imagine eating 'Germany fried rice sticks/beehoon and rice porridge' during the treks? They were willing to learn from one of our friends to prepare these for us! We were also very pleasantly surprised with the many variety of food they cooked up for us. Banquet on the trek! How fortunate for us.
There are many unsung heroes in the team that helped made our trip easier, safe and unforgettable. We are forever grateful to the team. We had so much fun during the trek, and bonded so well with the team, it is very sad to leave. We will treasure them in our hearts, and pray God will protect and bless them always.
Until we meet again in 3 years time.....

I could not have asked for a better team
4 of us assisted by 14 member team from Almighty Kilimanjaro climbed Mt. Killi using 7 day Machame route. Our guides Innocent and Saidy assisted by chef Muniri and porters Sam, John, others went over and beyond to keep us comfortable, calm and educated all through the hike. They took care of us from the time we landed to the end of the trip, paying close attention to every detail. Adam the driver and Saidy the administrator were so awesome. The whole team of Almighty Kilimanjaro are top class and they show they really care of their clients. Love their team and highly recommend them.

6 Days migration safari
A huge thank you to Almighty Kilimanjaro for the incredible and unforgettable safari experience in Serengeti and Ngorongoro for our anniversary. Simon our guide and new found friend made this trip special filled with great memories. He is well versed with anything and everything we asked about Tanzania or the animals. His careful driving kept us going trough muddy tracks deep to Ndutu where an incredible spectacle was happening. We were in the middle of thousands of wildebeest calving! I recommend the the complete package of safari and accommodations because enjoyed the same high standard on our trip all through.
