What a fantastic family trip to Tanzania! Really affordable and superb game viewing.
A friend recommended Zilla Expeditions and from the moment I got in contact with Albert I knew I was in safe hands. He was always available online to discuss options, with really prompt responses to my queries. He was always polite and supportive about every tiny detail of our trip and was super flexible about all the tweaks, changes and amendments we made along the way. Al met us at the airport personally to escort us to our hotel in Arusha and then Severin, our guide, took over for the safari - an absolute gem! Such a fun person to spend time with and so attentive to all of our needs. Clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. I was worried about the "adventure" level of the trip, but the price was right and all of the accommodations Al chose for us, simple, boutique lodges and mobile camps in the bush, completely exceeded our expectations of style and comfort. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Al, Severin and Zilla Expeditions to other travellers wanting to plan their Africa dream trip of a lifetime, without breaking the bank.

Being based in Zanzibar and owning a travel company in Zanzibar. I have personally arranged safari trips to the northern parks of Tanzania with Albert and his team for a while now. Mainly to Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater and I have never been disappointed.
Albert is always flexible, his safari prices are great and he takes note of the small details that make every safari feel special and customised to meet individual personal interests. Authentic local experience in Arusha, Tanzania.
I did a cultural tour in Sanawari Village, close to Arusha town and everything ran smoothly - it was a last minute booking that I made just to keep my afternoon busy.
My guide during the trip was Hoi Hoi, a masai from the village, and he was amazing - very polite and knowledgeable and from the look of things quite a popular guy in the area. I visited a local home, a primary school and a coffee plantation. The trip gave me a brief but intriguing insight into the daily lives of the local community. I also got to visit a local restaurant with Albert, where I met many of his friends, had some great conversations and the food was really fabulous.

Fabulous tour - highly recommend!
I had a fabulous tour experience with Albert in the Arusha and Moshi area. He was super friendly, helpful and knowledgable - very relaxed and really easy to spend a couple of days with. He was easy to get hold of and provided a great service from start to finish. The tour itself was super informative and definitely exceeded my expectations. I'd highly recommend it and I'll definitely use Zilla again next time I'm in the area!

The circle of life (in reality)
Albert helped us very well by planning a trip with the things we asked for. There were also very nice suggestions that surprised us.
We had about 8 days of safaris, in different national parks. The thing is, that no one ever could give certainty about the things or in this case, animals you will or you won't see.
We had a very warmhearted guide with good knowledge of wildlife and birds. We hoped off course to see rare animals, but this trip treated us so well that it was more than we could ever wish for. We saw a lot of animals and we took time to stay and observe their behavior. We saw mating Lions, we saw a leopard with a cub playing and fooling around, we saw cheetahs eating their prey and I could go on like this. We had a very patient guide, but also creative. Somebody who takes the time to hear what you expect, even at last moments. This gave us very unique experiences, also in local and cultural life.
We would definitely recommend Albert and Severin!

Amazing safari
Most of the communication was done by email. We were impressed by the quick response and professionalism from Albert. The best part of the trip was our guide, Bakari. He was very understanding, knowledgeble and funny. With a kin eye, we managed to see the BigFive. We did 4 days lodge safari Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and were amazed by the beauty of the country and the abundance of wildlife. The people were fantastic! An adventurous day-trip to Tarangire
I and 5 other colleagues just completed a wonderful day-trip to Tarangire National Park, we wish the trip could have been longer. Our trip started with a pick up at 7:00am and in 2 hours we were at the park entrance. While on the safari, our guide Severine was amazing, alert and on the lookout for the herds of wildlife. It can be difficult to impress a group of adults in one car but he carefully answered our questions and made sure we were all satisfied with the outcome of our safari. There was an abundance of elephants and the park was strikingly beautiful. We will definitely do a much longer trip to include Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Zilla Expeditions. Thank you, Albert and Severin, for giving us a memorable safari.

We looked forward to our trip to Tanzania in Dec 2019. We contacted Albert and he took us through the process of travel and where we would sleep and made for us a schedule that we would follow while in Zanzibzr and Arusha, Tanzania.
