So smart, so safe, so fun!
Jason is so smart, so safe, and so fun that we can’t imagine booking Rwanda or Uganda travel with anyone else. in just ten days we learned more about local culture and nature than we would have thought possible.
The most professional and organized drivers!
Jason and his team are so remarkable. I’ve been going to East Africa for many years and their service has always made our trips so smooth. They are responsible and so organized. I trust them every time! Always recommend this company.

The Mountain gorillas of Uganda
Last Jan when I was in Kigali, Rwanda got an invite to join a group of 8 for a very last minute visit to the Mountain Gorilla's in Uganda which is a 2,5 hour trip from Kigali. The trip started 2am the next morning (that hurts) to drive to the Rwanda/Uganda border. You can only cross the border at particular times so, had to wake up early. Our drive and Guide Jason was relaxed and very helpful with information and the acting as a liaison with the Gorilla guides. What really was amazing was coming back to the border and realizing that not everybody in our group had the required $50 cash to get back into Rwanda. Fear we were stuck at the border and that some of us would miss their flight later that day, Jason got it all resolved in meer minutes and we were on our way. Anybody can drive a car and share information but, only a view can solve issues when they arrive a good as Jason did. That is why this trip stands out. In other words, highest recommendation!

genuine, value for money, safe
I travelled with my guests from United States with Techsavvannah. We had a great time with touring at the Meru National park and Amboseli. Driver Jacob is safe and experienced and mechanically sound tour vehicles. All enquiries promptly answered and attended to. I will for sure use their services again

Great tour with Safari Vacations
Safari Vacations organized a great tour for us. We had a few days in which we needed to get from Kigali, Rwanda to Mbarara, Uganda and wanted to see mountain gorillas and safari animals in the process. Safari Vacations organized everything for us. They picked us up in Kigali, organized gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest, safari drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a river cruise, and drop off in Mbarara. Our guides were Alex and Benson and they were great. We had some car trouble, but they worked tirelessly to arrange other transport to get us to where we needed to go when we needed to be there. We saw gorillas, elephants, hippos, lions, cape buffalo, bush buck, and many more animals. It was great, easy, and I highly recommend.

It is a trustworthy and friendly service
Knowing about the Safari Vacations & Travel Services and Jason from a colleague, I reached out in a very short notice (only 2 days in advance!) to ask Jason to set up a gorilla tracking trip. I was a little doubt that he might not be able to make it as I was advised that it may take time to book for the permit. Jason came back with "yes, we do"; "no problem"; "no worries" which made me even more nervous if it can be true, honestly.
It turned out to be a great trip to Uganda with very punctual guide -- Adams who drove safely through a long winding road to get to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in time for the cultural performance and a debriefing before the tracking trip.
It worths your money and leaves the rest to Jason!
Thank you Jason and your team! Good luck with more trips and more clients to Uganda!

Professional, knowledgeable, and adaptable
While visiting Uganda for business, we had 2 extra days and were hoping to see as much as we possibly could. We wanted to get picked up in Kigali, Rwanda, go to Bwindi to see gorillas, go to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and then end up in Mbarara. I reached out to several tour operators, and most said that was not one of their offerings so they could not help, but Safari Vacations was immediately amenable to customizing our trip exactly as we wanted. They also recommended lodging outside of Queen Elizabeth NP and arranged for a river boat cruise/tour which was delightful.
I worked with Jason via email throughout the booking process. He was prompt and responsive. I had all of the details of our trip ahead of time, so I knew where we were going, how long it would take, etc. The final price we were quoted was very reasonable for the activities we had included, especially given how far we were being transported.
There were 3 particular instances that stood out in my mind which put Safari Vacations at the 5-star level:
1. After leaving Kigali at 3am, our driver, Alex, noticed something amiss with the car. He was on the phone immediately making arrangements to swap cars at the border. When it turns out that the car wasn't going to make it to the border, he arranged a car to pick us up at get us there. Car trouble happens to us all, but I was very impressed at how proactive Alex was about making other arrangements so this was barely a small hiccup and not a major disruption.
2. Safari Vacations arranged for us to track one of the gorilla families that was more accessible from the road given our tight schedule. Some people walk for hours to see gorillas, but we found them within 10 minutes of starting out. This extra effort ensured that we were able to spend our full hour with the gorillas and still make it to our next destination on time.
3. Alex was eager to help with anything we requested, be it a lunch break while driving, finding an ATM, helping me with a challenging border situation with my luggage, or calling our lodging in Mbarara to ensure door-to-door service.
