sooo great!!!
Five Japanese participated. I think Albert cared about us and gave us the best course and attendance. I think I could feel animals closer than other drivers. We all love Albert.

Amazing. Far exceeded our expectations!
I’m a grandmother who took her two 15 year old grandsons on a 4 day safari with Gundua African Safaris. It was perfect from start to finish. Communication with Paschal was thorough, timely and informative. The cost was very reasonable and included everything one would expect on a Safari. Our driver/guide was amazing. He and my grandsons really enjoyed one another. John is an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. We actually saw the the “Big Five” on our first day. We saw a cheetah take down an impala, a male lion eating the lunch he just caught, 6 female lions who just took down 3 wildebeest, hundred of hippos, giraffes, elephants, rhinoceros, and every animal one hopes to see on safari. Virtually all were within 10 feet of us. This is an experience the boys and I will treasure forever. We had terrific accommodations, blue skies, great food and an amazing time. I highly recommend Gundua!!!

A trip to see various creatures
This time we traveled from the north to the south of the country to see birds and mammals as well as chameleons. It was a long distance, but our guide drove us safely and made the tour comfortable.

Knowlegable
We are very happy with the safari that Gundua had put together for us. We feel very lucky that we saw all the Big 5 and more while on our trip. The tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and where to go to see what we wanted to see and the tour vehicle, Land Cruiser, was very reliable. We were able to decide our daily adventures with our tour guide as long as we kept in line with the broader agenda in terms of timing of camps stays, etc. The food was excellent and beyond our expectations. Each camp we stayed at was amazing. We definitely would recommend Gundua to anyone who wants to experience an excellent Africa adventure. They put together a trip for us that hit all the marks of what we wanted. Well done!

Excellent communication and service, and a knowledgeable guide
I had an excellent experience with Gundua, who were rapid to respond to my questions and were able to adapt their standard safari to offer something that fitted perfectly with my lack of flexibility in timing and specific requirements to offer a custom experience as a solo traveller. I undertook a three day Safari including walking into the Embakaai crater, a full day in the Ngorongoro crater, then return via Lake Manyara - an itinerary that provided dramatic landscapes and a wealth of wildlife. My guide was very knowledgeable and excellent at spotting and identifying wildlife, punctual and reliable. I was delighted with the overall experience which was very good value for money.

Gundua provided an excellent Safari experience and exceeded expectations .
Sending a lot of money from USA to Africa can, on the surface appear risky.
Gundua provided - and exceeded- in delivering the safari which it helped us plan. The Guide, Leonard Geophrey was fluent in Swahili. English and French. He was extremely knowledgeable and a delight to have as a travel companion.

Gundua works hard to optimize and customize the safari experience.
Communications were reliable to the point of being exceptional. Service, in our case of the Land Cruiser, was good, especially when you consider the remoteness of our locations. The services provided by our guide Leonard were exemplary. He had the eyes of a hawk in finding things, and was seriously knowledgeable about habitat, where to find the animals and their attributes and ways of living. Plus he was genuinely as nice a man as you'd ever want to meet. The value was really great because the lodging and food truly exceeded our expectations. The tour itself was super fun, very adventurous and enlightening. The trip was epic: the trip of a lifetime.

Patrick, our guide, was knowledgeable, experienced and a damned good driver.
Gundua organized excellent accommodation, some in permanent lodges, some tented. All were spotless, in tiptop condition, and safe. We viewed countless wildebeest crossing the Mara, travelled on a network of roads in the Serengeti and Ngorogoro, experienced a wonderful thunderstorm and ate delicious meals wherever we were. Gundua's vehicles are comfortable and well maintained. What abundance and variety of wildlife Tanzania offers. Well worth the visit,

A perfect trip: One of the best agencies we have travelled with in Africa
We have experience travelling in Africa and doing safaris (more than 12 in 8 different countries) and I have no doubt to say that Gundua is one of the best agencies we have travelled with. Very professional from the beggining: quick answers, a lot of details showing their knowledge of the country... It is nos easy to choose as there are more than 50 agencies in Arusha, a lot of them working with freelance drivers working for several of them. And travelling with a 7 years old little girl it is more important for us th make the right choice! Gundua can be new but it is clear that the owner has many years of experience and knows the right drivers and the right camps and hotels. Our first feeling was correct: fair price (for the same price we stayed in better camps than other agencies were proosing, perfect communication and organization, nice and efficient driver (thanks Saidi for this great time! Our little girl Aina will never forget) ... Do not hesitate to go with them, you will have a great time! I you want more feedback, you can write me

Incredible Family Journey
I found Pius and Gundua on Safaribookings.com as well as a few other companies and contacted them all with a rough outline of what we wanted from our trip which was a family trip for 2ad and 2ch (13/10) for my 50th.
I met with Pius on Zoom and then chose Gundua as our operator as he was efficient, provided good advice, responded quickly to enquiries and adjusted accommodation to accommodate our budget.
We started in Kenya, travelled to Masai Mara, across into Tanzania to experience Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. Our guides (1 in K and 1 in Tanz) were outstanding, made us feel comfortable and were able to provide invaluable information in response to our many questions on culture, politics and of course animals.
The accommodation Pius arranged was fantastic, I would recommend staying in the parks or just outside as we lost valuable time in the Crater by staying further away. The meals and packed lunches were really good quality and varied enough, without exception. I would have happily stayed longer everywhere, especially Serengeti and Lake Manyara, to enjoy the surroundings at a more leisurely pace.
The game viewing was completely nuts, I have done this before a few times in Southern Africa but K&Tanz were another level. I had warned my family not to expect any cats… Masai Mara offered up lioness, cheetahs galore, leopard but sadly no migration crossing as I think we were too waylaid en route to the river…so disappointing but I guess we have to have a reason to return one day. The shrieks of the children (& my husband!) as they first encountered giraffe, zebra and elephants were unforgettable and worth all the work for the trip in those moments! Serengeti was my birthday and the quality of up close and personal viewings that day were incredible, quite moving. Osinon Camp was just a beautiful place to wake up on a special day. Ngorongoro, a place I had learned about 25yrs ago, was worth waiting for, the geography of being in a caldera rather than the plains of the Serengeti, was unforgettable, and we were rewarded with male lion and a rhino! So lucky. Elephants galore in Tarangire and beautiful baobab trees, watering holes providing wonderful interaction between animals after a night on the shores of Lake Manyara with wildebeest and zebra accompanying us to breakfast at sunrise.
The trucks are comfortable and well maintained, given the super challenging terrain they cover, our guides were professional, well informed and did everything they could to help us see whatever was willing to be spotted that day! The roads are tracks and the timings not always accurate, so add 30-50% to have realistic drive times and allow for the fact that between parks they drive fast on tracks meaning a bone shattering experience! If you have more time, or are happy to just experience one park, that’s the way to reduce travel times.
It’s not a trip we could keep affording to do every year but if we could then I would book every time with Pius and Gundua. Excellent comms, excellent advice, excellent value all made a superb week. We then travelled on to Kili and Zanzibar independently but felt Pius would have been available had we encountered any issues whilst in Tanzania.
Thank you Gundua and Pius!
