Perfect organized 8 day trip in Uganda
5/5

I did book an 8-day-Safari Tour with Frena Adventures. I did it end march when rainy season started and when there were not so many tourists. I started with Rhino Sanctuary, saw Murchison Falls and Queen Elisabeth National Park. The programm was including game drives and boat cruises as well as chimp and gorilla trackings. All of it was worth money doing it. From the beginning and during the planning everything was very good organized. Fred did answer to my questions very quickly and adjusted the program to my wishes. I did book the budget variant and was very happy with the lodges which have been chosen. I did sleep well everywhere and the food was good, too. As I was traveling alone it was important for me to have a nice and friendly guide. And so was Ronnie. He was driving very good and carefully, I always felt safe. He could also adjust the timing of the program on the way so that it was comfortable. And he was always answering all my thousands of questions about the animals but also about life in Uganda very patiently all the time during the eight days he was my driver and guide. He showed me the beauty if his country and its friendly people. I felt very welcome wherever I was. I am very happy to have made this journey and can absolutely recommend it!

Frena Adventures made this the holiday of a lifetime!
5/5

An amazing experience from start to finish! From the gorillas in Bwindi to the elephants in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Akagera. I went for 5 days as a solo traveller and Fred was very helpful with preparing the itinerary and answering my questions. I selected the mid-range option as it was not much more expensive than the budget option. The accommodation in all locations was simply stunning with breath-taking views and full of character. I was met by my guide Apollo at Kigali Airport and immediately felt more at ease. He was extremely knowledgeable about Rwanda, Uganda and the wildlife that we saw. He was also very kind and made sure I had enough water and got to the locations with time to spare (if he offers you Ugandan coffee take it as it is the best I’ve tasted!).
Everything went very smoothly from start to finish and I was very sorry when I went home. If you’re thinking about visiting Africa then I whole-heartedly recommend visiting Uganda as it is a wildlife lover’s dream and the people of Uganda and Rwanda were all so friendly and welcoming. The gorilla trek in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest was the greatest thing I have ever done (I recommend hiring a porter as the hike is tough going and you’ll also be contributing to the local community).
My sincere thanks again to Fred and Apollo for making this holiday something I will remember fondly for the rest of my life.

Budget gorilla trekking safari
5/5

Great value for money - we had great communication through from the team at Frena leading up to the safari and were quick to respond to any questions

They were very flexible to change the itinerary short notice when we wanted to fly instead of drive and our Tour guide Andrew was waiting for us at the airport. We had the delight of having a Toyota Land Cruiser as our tour vehicle which was extremely comfortable through the long drives.it was also equipped with a pop up roof for wildlife viewing and plenty of water was available.

Andrew was a great tour guide , friendly and very knowledgable about all wildlife. We went for the budget gorilla safari of 3 nights with mid range accommodation. The tour was well organised and all the accommodations offered amazing views as-well as great food and a packed lunch for the following day.

The only complaint is we wished we had more time to fully enjoy Uganda as a whole. Despite the tour being jam packed it didn’t fell rushed and offered great Value for money. Don’t hesitate to book !

Fantastic beauty of East Africa.
5/5

We selected Frena Adventures for Rwanda and Uganda trip. We communicate with several companies but decided to stay with Frena and was very happy about this. It was all good experience from making program of our trip, customizing and optimizing. Our guide/driver was always in time and showed very good knowledge of area and Uganda in particular. He was really good in helping to select best spot for photos. All of these factors helped to open fantastic beauty of East Africa.

Gorilla Trekking
5/5

The entire trip was great. From the accommodation at Akagera National Park to the safari in the same National Park and of course to the gorilla trekking, the experience was fantastic. Our guide, Gerald, was knowledgeable, organised and friendly and was accommodating to all of our needs. Also, the personal safari advisor, Fred, was also very flexible and helpful. Overall an awesome experience and affordable.

U can trust Frena & Fred: Highly Recommended
5/5

We had a cross-border tour covering both Rwanda and Uganda.
Day 1: The golden monkey trekking tour in Volcanoes NP, Rwanda.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi NP, Uganda.
Some relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi. In between gorilla tracking and a long ride to Kibale Forest, it was a nice break.
Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi swamp walk watching Chimpanzee crowned our trip to Rwanda & Uganda.
Of course, there is always room for improvement, and is impossible to please everyone. Our guide Appolo too was a friendly guy.
To summarize, we are very satisfied by the arrangements made by Fred and highly recommend him.

Frena Adventure was more than a professional level; Our guide Apollo felt more like a family.
5/5

We landed at Entebbe, Uganda later than the plan originally had, but Apollo and Abraham tried to fit all the activities during the stay, and actually provided us all the itinerary and schedules we were supposed to have.

Apollo was perfect in terms of speaking English. We had no problems sharing our thoughts on wonderful nature of Uganda and sometimes talk about our lives in Korea and Uganda. We shared so much things together as human-beings not as tourists and a guide.

Gorilla trekking was worth that money, and so did Chimpanzee trekking. We saw marvelous forest and very different kinds of animals dwelling harmonious in one place.

When passing through the Kazinga Channel, hundreds of hippos and alligators, even a pack of elephants welcomed us. Aside from eating packed lunch from the lodge, we spoke with Apollo that we want to try very local cuisine, and so we did.
The most memorable moment is not one, but every single moment was precious and our family was living with uncountable happiness all time.

I thank you very much Apollo, and dear Frena Adventures for supporting our first tour at Africa. Uganda will stay in our heart forever.

Superb: Highly Pleased
5/5

After having been to more than 100 countries and having done safaris in several countries over the years, I am pleased to admit that Fred and Frena Adventures have been one of the best tour operators I have come across so far.
Since day 1, Fred has been transparent, accommodating and forthcoming.
I requested a cross-border tour covering both Rwanda and Uganda.
He came up with interesting proposals and customized the proposed itinerary exactly as we had desired. We did Golden Monkeys in Rwanda,
It was a well-organized mix of activities. Lodges were exactly we were looking for; neat and clean without being falsely over-done. Meals were decent and service friendly all long.
In short, Fred delivered it without any negative deviation.

Very good service
5/5

We did a six day tour starting with gorillas in the Bwindi National park, progressing to the Queen Elizabeth Park and finishing at Kibale to see the chimpanzees. Communications before the trip were clear, including how to upgrade the lodges we were staying at. Our tour driver/guide was reliable and well-organised and the tour vehicle was very good. We thought the trip was good value for money and very well delivered.
