A professional tour operator with a lot of experience.
Had an amazing trip. Would recommend Frena adventures to everyone wanting a great experience either it be gorilla trekking or safari in Queen Elizabeth national park. I did both this year.
With Frena i got great service, easy communication and guide(s) with so much lokal knowledge that the car ride it self is very enjoyable. The trip was amazing and definitely worth the money.

We would definitely choose Frena again :)
We went for 3 days, gorilla + golden monkey trekking in Uganda/Rwanda and we had amazing time. Organizing the trip, Fred was short to answer but to the point and all our wishes were included in the final trip. The guide we had - Frank - is experienced and knowledgeable guide and a very friendly and kind person. Trekkings were amazing! Places we stayed at were really nice too. We would definitely do the trip again :)

Great time with Frenadventure
We had a fantastic time in Uganda with our driver Ronnie, the gorilla trekking in Bwindi was just incredible, it was a real adventure and seeing the gorillas was such an touching experience. We then visited Kalinzu and saw chimps, colobus and blue and red tail monkeys, the forest is really beautiful. Finally we visited the Queen Elisabeth NP, and we saw so many animals, lions included!
Ronnie and Frenadventure were very honest and serious, I have no complains and I'm glad we chose it.
Overall I was really happy with the tour, and highly recommend it to anyone!

Professional
Professional and reliable company. Fred proposed a great safari itinerary based on our needs and requirements, and worked hard to make us have a great trip. The two guides, Benjamin and Ronnie, acted professionally and very cordially during the 3-day trip, which was enjoyable. Thank you to the team for a great trip together and for the memories.

GERALD WAS AWESOME! Great trip to see the gorillas and golden monkeys
Sister and I took the 3 day Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Golden Monkeys tour with Frena Adventures in early August.
Booking was seamless with Fred providing the information promptly and answering questions. Online payment through Pesapal (note: 5% processing fee) for the deposit, the remainder in cash on arrival.
Our tour guide Gerlad was awesome! Knowledgible about the locations we drove by and stopped at good vantage points to take photos.
The day we went to see the gorillas, we were up just before sunrise and crow of the rooster and it was beautiful. Thank you to the team at Trekkers Tavern Cottages with a shoutout to Sheila for making us feel comfortable and well looked after!
Seeing the gorillas in real life literally meters away from you was an exhilarating experience. We were put in the team tracking the Kyaguriro troupe (led by the Silverback of the same name). Hid name means 'picky/selective' (we think) as he is known to be very selective with the females he invites into his troupe. He is also notoriously shy! Which is why it was a surprise that we came across the trackers only 20 or so minutes from the road. They weren't wrong about his shyness but we were lucky enough to see all 8 members of the troupe including a baby which was so cute!
Thank you to the guides/park rangers, guards and trackers who all did an amazing job to answer our questions and keep both us and the gorillas safe.
Fun fact: We also wore face masks while seeing the gorillas as they are also susceptible to human diseases. This is due to how similar our genetics are.
If you ever have the opportunity to do this by all means it's a once in a lifetime experience and I highly recommend it to all. We saw families with kids up to retirees so no is left out. They also provide a service wherein individuals with limited mobility can be carried to and from the gorilla sites for a fee. Just please hire a porter if you cannot hold your things. It gives the locals a job, gives their families money and makes your trek a lot more comfortable and enjoyable. That bottle of water and camera gets mighty heavy if you are not use to the altitude (we are from Australia) and you have to go back up the mountain at the end of it.
For the second night we stayed at the Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge. The staff were incredibly attentive, friwnsly and always had a smile. The accomodation itself was clean and well presented. Although the wifi could only be accessed in the main building the three seating areas with their individual fire places (set up by staff at your request) made the whole experience warm and welcoming. They also had a bar from which they offered some wine, whisky, etc which was brought over to us while chatting around the fireplace. There were also some dancers that came by to perform cultural music and dance which was lovely. Waterbottles were also put in our beds and the fireplace in our room lit before we arrived after dinner as the night was a bit chilly. It was a wondeful experience from start to finish. Also the pineapple juice on arrival was beautiful!
The third day with the golden monkeys was also very nice. The guides will take you to the large family of monkeys. Also need a mask for this. They were very cute and they do get very close. Mind the tails and dont dont get bwtween them am food, lest they bite (but mainly mind the tails). It was lovely and sunny when we went, so their backs were brightly glistening. Highly recommend.
Gerald also offered to swing by the Dianna Fossey Centre where we learned more about the gorillas and the different families in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest before dropping us back to our hotel in Arusha.

Excellent, knew his stuff, very well arranged and excellent communications, will recommend to anyone
We just wrapped up four days in Rwanda and Uganda and had one of most amazing experiences doing the gorilla trekking etc. I had a great experience with Fred(owner) helping me plan the four days and then Ronald who was an amazing guide/driver for the entire trip. People need to visit Rwanda and Uganda. The hotels were great and Frena’s price are very good. It was so smooth managing everything from dallas,tx. Strongly recommend to anyone who wants to see Rwanda and Uganda. Gorilla trekking in bwindi forest is one in a lifetime adventure

Absolutely amazing experience
My boyfriend and I did the 4 Days Volcano Golden Monkey and Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Tour, which also included Chimpansee trekking, two boat rides and a game drive. The communication with Fred was great, he always responded quickly and helped us with making the deposit.
The tour was very well organized, we chose the budget option but the accommodations were amazing, with each having a great view, great food, nice and clean rooms and very kind people. On the tour, we were able to see all the animals we hoped to see and more. In addition, the drives took us through the beautiful landscapes of Rwanda and Uganda.
Our guide for the tour, Farouk, was absolutely great. He taught us a lot about Uganda and the Ugandan way of living and went out of his way to make the trip unforgettable.
All in all it was an experience to never forget!

Unforgettable trip to Uganda for gorilla tracking with the best guide!
We booked a three day tour with Frena Adventures to go gorilla tracking and to visit lake Bunyonyi in Uganda from Kigali. Our Guide Gerald picked us up and he was a gem! He did everything to make our trip memorable and special, changed plans for us so we could get the most out of it. In the car he explained so many different things about Uganda, the culture, the people, etc - so we learnt so many new and interesting facts as well. If you have a chance also do the community walk, which was a real eye opener...!
We would book our next adventure with Frena anytime - 2 nights and 3 days was way too short. Also the communication with Fred and Gerald was great. Thank you so so much Gerald you made our trip better than we could have imagined! We will see you soon!
