Excellent tour operator from start to finish
Absolutely fantastic safari. Emmanuel was so great at communicating with us throughout the trip and the safari was better than I ever could have imagined. Our Driver Mike knew all the best spots and was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this company.

Best tour ever!!
Great safari saw all of the big five and many other animals. Super friendly staff and great communication. Amazing value for money with an airport pick up and drop off as well as hotel accommodation before and after the safari.
The perfect safari experience in every way
I went for the private 4 day 4 parks tour with Crater Explorer. I chose them based on the excellent reviews and I'm so glad I did. Emmanuel is really helpful, responsive and great at communicating. He's so easy going and flexible with the planning. He picked me up at the airport and I went straight on the tour with my guide Baraka, all very smooth. The itinerary is perfect, I visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeli and Tarangire, each have their characteristics. I was worried the itinerary was too aggressive but I wanted to see it all. Emmanuel reassued me that it'll be fine and he is absolutely right. The 4 days were packed but it never felt rushed. Perfect for those short on time but greedy to want it all.
Baraka is a great guide, so skilled at spotting animals and getting into prime position. We ticked off the Big 5, seeing the tree climbing lions up close, encountering 2 leopards in 2 days, driving alongside a cheetah and witnessed the Great Migration! Baraka is very knowledgeable about wildlives but he is also fun to spend the days with. He is very attentive and thoughtful and I felt really well looked after.
Our picnic lunches were of envy. The accommodation was well chosen. The tented lodge was memorable, sitting by the camp fire with animal noises in the background.
I had such an amazing time from start to finish. It's perfect. Thank you Emmanuel and Baraka!

If my family is looking for safari, I definitely recommend crater explorer without hesitation
I had safari with them 3days in serengeti.
I got chance to see tons of animals including big5, they drive you to the best place to enjoy and take great photo. They are very responsible, open to any questions, willing to help. Reasonable price, the experience they give worths much more.

Up close and personal, amazing experience!
We had an amazing experience going on a Safari with this company. We did the 3-day budget sharing Safari with overnight camping. Emanuel (the host) arranged our airport transfers and overnight stays the night before and after the safari, all included in the price. He briefed us shortly the morning of our Safari about the schedule and we could share our expectations. The first day was already incredible, with very up close encounters with a cheetah, lions, a leopard and many other animals. After 3 days we saw all of the Big 5 and had other rare encounters we did not expect! Our guide Frank was very passionate and shared all of his knowledge on the parks, the animals and also Masai culture. The meals were actually pretty good and the camping experience was unique with giraffes and gazelles roaming the campsite at night. Overall we enjoyed the trip so much and would definitely recommend this company when choosing a Safari! Also, we went during rainy season at the beginning of May, but the overall weather was good with almost no rain!

Awesome Safari Trip
Are you Safari dreamers and searching for the chance. Please come to Emanuel. He is a super nice guy and really patient to explain everything details fo the safari. This time, we saw the BIG FIVE! And a lot of different animals and their interesting actions. Food was nice, camping was nice, everything was super nice!

They have been on top of the game from beginning to the end
Without any doubt, the best experience we have ever had, starting from Emmanuel who took care of all the organisational part such as safari booking, transfers from and to the airport, ending by an amazing tour guide “Omar” who would find the best spots to watch different animals. Crater explorer have been great since pre arrival planning till the last day of the trip.
They have been very easy to communicate, replying to our requests in timely manner. The tour guide Omar was very attentive to all our needs, as well as very knowledgeable and made sure that we saw all could see the most of the animals.

Fantastic Safari Tour
I had a really fantastic safari tour through Crater Explorer. I was worried because it was the rainy season in April, but the weather was so nice. And the food and camping were all perfect and I will never forget the night spent with the animals. And everyone, including the guide and chef who toured with us, was so kind. I will definitely do a safari tour through Crater Explorer again next time.
